Rules And Guidelines, Read before registering: UPDATED SEP 13

Rule 1: No personal attacks.
No harrassment or free attacks just for the sake of it against any user of the EWAC on either the entries, comments, and/or any other forms of communication (Livejournals etc.)
If you cannot be nice and polite, do not attempt to say anything at all! No personal attack on Elijah Wood or his surrounding will be tolerated. He is entitled to have his own personal life, and we should all respect that and respect the people he loves.

Rule 2: No spamming.
Please refrain from posting anything not related to the entries at all.

Rule 3: No abuse.
This means that no extreme profanity and religious, racial, ethnic, sexual orientation and gender based discrimination allowed. No exceptions will be made.

Rule 4: No plagiarism.
We are not professional writers and we do not aim for perfection so please post your own fictions. If you like a story very much, you can invite the author to join us or ask for permission and credit the author when you post the fictions here.

Rule5: No netspeak or constant use of caps.
It is very hard for people to read threads PoStEd lIkE tHiS. So please don't do it! and if you want to greet someone. greet him and don't gr33t him. We all know basic english, let's stick to that.

Rule 6: Make sure you use correct punctuation and right capitalization. We do not expect you to write an essay, but use English language and its beautiful rules. And remember, as our lovely Mena said once, "Dots are like Frodo: even the smallest creature can change the course of the future!"
Or better, the sense of the sentence!

Rule 7: No pointless posts. We are not requiring people to write entire chapters when replying to a post, but we highly discourage pointless replies, like "post more" or "Bumps". They are useless and represent simply a waste of bandwidth.

The administrator and moderators at EWAC reserve the right to edit or delete any message that does not comply with the aforementioned rules, at any time without any prior notification.

By remaining as a member of this board, you agree to abide by all of the rules listed above.


Note: don't worry if your English isn't like you walked right out of a Jane Austen's book. Other members will help you out. Many of us are not English mother tongue ourselves!

I have a question. As in the EWFN are the LINKS forbidden? Or we can put the www.me.com address? or do it in the normal way? Also applying to the advertising.

OMG! wow this is good, the rules are great to go by and not restricting. i got a question about the fanfics. are we allowed to make them NC-17?

i know that the other forums made us want to go to a "certain" site. i mean if we say its NC-17 in the begining? thanx

Yes you are allowed to have nc-17 fic's as long as you clearly say it in the beginning of a fic. It's better if people know what they are getting in to.
So post a rating and nobody will fall over it.

Hi, I'm new and I'd like to start a fan fic. Are there any rules about main characters? For instance, does Lij have to be THE main character in the fan fic or can he just play a significant secondary character?

UPDATES OF JUNE 20TH - PLEASE READ AND ACTION!

Dearest Members,

we have been noticing of late a weird habit of adding too many pictures in almost everyone's signatures.

To avoid useless waste of bandwidth and messy threads we are adding a new rule, which has to be considered effective from today:

SIGNATURES ALLOWED: One banner per member.

If you want to advertise more than one fiction, please create rotating banners so, within the only one you are allowed to have.
Members will have five days time to get rid of the extras signatures. Starting from Saturday June 24th, members who won't have updated signatures will receive warning PMs.

I've noticed banners in signatures which have gone on to stretch the page, and although it's not stated explicitly in the main Rules & Guidelines, they're part of the rule for every section for images; that they should not stretch the page.

To clear things up, the size of banners should not exceed 450x200 pixels. A PM would be sent to all whose signatures violate this rule as an information sort of thing.

Can we post paparazzis pictures? I mean I'm not with them, but some pictures are elementary. And if I could know it'd be useful

Yes we can post Paparazzi's pictures here. Put a note in the title of the thread that it is Paparazzi's so people who do not like such kind of pictures are informed and won't look at them. Something like:

"Elijah in Santa Monica - PAPARAZZI"
