Here are a few rules that must be laid down in order for this place to run well.

1. A word on text. Everyone is expected to have their own style to bring to this board. However, there should be some things that are uniform throughout. Narrative should be written in third person past tense. This is a turn based RPG, so please try to wait for everyone to have a chance to write their character. Grammar and spelling rules apply.

2. Please be polite and courteous. It should be known that anyone who has been here longer will have precedence when it comes down to a problem between players. That is, of course, unless there is significant evidence otherwise.

3. If you have a question, feel free to PM the administrator about it. We are nice people and want to help you. It is always better to ask rather than to do and be reprimanded for it.

4. No Godmodding is tolerated whatsoever. If you Godmode, I will not even stop and discuss this with you. You will be asked to leave the board. Also, please no Mary-Sue/Gary-Stu charries. This is a historical RPG; that means that the Women's Liberation Movement has not happened yet. A distinct social hierarchy is apparent. Don't move above your station in liberties without accepting consequence.

5. All members are required to post regularly unless there is prior notice of absence posted. By regularly, I mean at least every two weeks. I know that we all are busy people and our lives consume us. This is fine, but communication is key.

6. This is an advanced board focused upon the personal narratives of our given characters. One-liners are an insult to the craft. We expect at least some reason for you to be posting. In other words, if you post too little, you will be spoken to by an admin, if you post a bunch of nothing, you will be spoken to by an admin. Simple enough.

7. This is an adult board. It is also a Roman board based on the most bawdy and base era in Roman history. Some explicit content may occur. If this is the case, there should be a notice posted in the Topic Description that states that the content may not be suitable. Though this behavior may happen, it is not expected to happen all the time. If you continue to write sexual graphic material on this board, serious actions may be taken, including dismissal from the board. If you are not sure, please clear posts with an admin.

8. No OOC comments are allowed in IC posts. Enough said.

9. Do not Spam. This includes advertising. If you wish to advertise, please do so on the designated board. Do not e-mail members and allow us to advertise on your board.

10. Character avatars are set at 200x250. This is more than enough for your avi.

And finally..

11. Do not apply with actual historical figures' names. We are not using any real people. You may be a part of an important aristocratic family line if you wish, but no parallels should be drawn between your character and any actual historical figures. Basically, I am just trying to keep people from being the actual person while only changing their names.
