Since the invention of synthetic blood, vampires have “come out of the coffin” and announced their existence to the world. The world was shocked; some embraced the newly announced race, while others deemed vampires evil creatures that should be exterminated. But watch out, humans, because vampires aren’t the only supernatural creatures out there! Shapeshifters have been around just as long as humans and vampires alike, and they have decided to follow in the footsteps of their fellow supernatural creatures and proclaim their existence. Will the human world embrace their existence, or will they react the same way they had when the vampires came out?
It is time to decide where you stand. Are you a shifter for or against this new revelation? Are you a vampire pleased with your own exposed existence? Are you a human who will fight for the rights of everybody, supernatural or not? Or are you, dear friend, willing to battle to make sure humans are the only race to stand on God’s holy earth?

Diaries of the Occult This underground magazine is popular with vampires and fangbangers alike, but is growing within the shifter community. Due to the fact that shifters are not out yet, the staff at DotC are reluctant to write articles about them until they have been revealed.
Staff are the only ones to update this forum, and a new issue will be released every two weeks. If you wish to write an article, check out the requirements thread inside.

Bricktown A small community comprised of 19th and 20th century brick industrial buildings. This part of town is undergoing a metamorphosis from shabby to trendy. Renovations have turned buildings once inhabited only by the homeless into beautiful lofts, fashionable Bohemian boutiques, fabulous restaurants, and music music spots favorable to the local music scenes.
Currently a much beloved spot for natural shifters.

Midtown Cultural District This area of town definitely lives up to its name. Littered with historical architectural structures, museums, and galleries, it is also home to the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) and the Horace H. Rackham Education Memorial Building. This part of town might not be as trendy as others, but it holds much of the city's history within.
Though a popular destination for vampires, it is mostly used for governmental meetings, and not so much for clubbing and hunting.

Eastern Market This part of town is regarded as THE place to buy fresh foods, but also one of the best places to find great dining. Though there are a few stores that sell pre-packaged foods, most of what can be found here is as fresh as the day it was picked.
Currently a hangout for bitten shifters. May not be safe for vampires or natural shifters.

Greektown Though still a bit of an ethnic ghetto, Greektown is a much loved destination by all. Copious numbers of Mediterranean hotspots, delicious coffee houses, and fragrant bakeries makes this destination of of Detroit's most alluring culinary destinations.
But food isn't the only thing people come here for! Greektown is packed with a riot of irresistable evening entertainment, including the Greektown Casino.
Currently considered "neutral" territory, as not many supernatural beings descend upon this part of town.

Hamtrack Though its name is rooted in its history of farming, Hamtrack today is a large automotive center. Aside from the cars, Hamtrack is a large Polish community that attracts many tourists and Detroit citizens to its wonderful bakeries and beautiful shops.
Currently considered "neutral" territory.

New Center The New Center Area district was created by the migration of the professional-class as they moved north of the city. Most of the single and multi-family dwellings were constructed over a 25 year span from 1895 to 1920. For a blast of Motown past, take a walk through the Motown Museum. It is operated by some of the original folks and looks pretty much the way it did when Barry Gordy left it.
Currently considered "neutral" territory.

Rivertown Despite much of Detroit's downtown area being decrepit and spooky, Rivertown is a breath of fresh air. Vibrant and pretty, this section of the city saw a revival in the 1950s after mass movement to the suburbs prompted the necessity to attract focus back to downtown. This area of town is popular with vampires of all sorts. Vampire bars have been popping up all over the place, though many of them are very discrete in order not to attract a lot of a attention from humans who may not want such establishments in their neighborhood. || Club Elizabeth || Mercy Me||

Theater District Another culture rich Detroit district, Theater District is second only to Broadway in providing the world's greatest number of theater seats and is home to some of the city's most beautiful refurbished buildings.
In accordance with the vampire love of theatrics and drama, this area of town has become quite popular with vampires. Though not like other vampire-centered parts of town, vampires can often be found here, attending the opera or the latest theatrical hit. Other supernatural beings are also welcome, and leaders of both vampire and shifter communities have agreed to punish anybody who starts trouble.

Brush Park Brush Park, one of Detroit’s first districts of wealth and prominence, was primarily constructed in the 1870’s. The rich architectural detail can still be seen in some of the homes – those still standing that is. The Fellowship of the Sun bought a large, beautiful building and converted it into one of the largest FoS churches in the country. The renovation of the historic building was the brainchild of Geoffry Montgomory, Sr., and Reverend Andrew Stevens.

Corktown With the increasing popularity of the Detroit music scene, and the recent addition of the renowned Slows Bar BQ restaurant and the popular Corktown Tavern, Corktown is again seeing renewal. After the 2001 closing of the Gold Dollar in the Cass Corridor, much of Detroit rock scene shifted to the Lager House
and the and it’s well known local showcases, Corktown is hoppin’ almost every evening.
This part of town, while not neutral, is very popular with both shifters and vampires. A lot of trouble has been brewing here recently as different groups try to take over the area. Even denominations withing species, such as pro-mainstreaming and anti-mainstreaming vampires attempting to buy control of the area.
