RulesThe rules are pretty simple, and most of them are only guidelines, anyway.
1. Respect other members. Keep foul language to a minimum and don't insult people.
2. Don't spam. IE, don't post stuff that doesn't further the conversation, especially one- or two-word posts, and don't wander too far off-topic.
3. Use correct grammar and punctuation as much as you are able. We're a writing site, respect the language that makes that writing possible.
4. Make sure you're posting your topic in the right forum. When in doubt, ask a mod or admin. Otherwise, we'll move your topic to the right place for you, but you'll also get a warning.
5. Even if you don't read these rules, they still apply to you. If you have not read these rules, then you don't have a clue what I'm saying right here. You may not have noticed.
5.5 I was joking about that 'guidelines' part

| QUOTE | | Elves live longer. Thus, elves. They can also shoot you at a distance, whereas dwarves have to get within reach of you with those puny axe-carrying arms of theirs. |
Elves, elves! There is no known exact fact as to the age of either elf nor dwarf, it depends upon the legend that you read, upon the fact that it is also varied amough the fandom of fantasies. Ah, but what we do know is that in every fantasy I've read (except for my own little elves I have of course) are perfect in everyway, unattainible for mortals whom have usually have a strange automatic love interest Cough*Eragon*Cough, and also are usually immortal- at least from a mortals view. Ah and the elf is a creature of Germanic mythology and the un-fair thing is that elves were origionally derived as nature and fertility gods.
Dwarves on the other hand are short, stocky humaniods from Norse mythology and other Germanic mythologies; fairy tales, fantasy fictions yada yada. But dwarves are skilled in warfare while Elves are busy making merry with the forest and nature and magic. Dwarves have me on this one for the simple fact they are known the best smiths making the best armor and weapons. And anyone who has weapons wins my vote.

Good talk, F_A. ^^
Elves are frighteningly beautiful and powerful, but sometimes they can chill your bones. On the other hand, Dwarves can be trustworthy friends, I think. But personally I like Elves better.

Hm... The Hobbit was the first fantasy I read featuring both, I think. And dwarves certainly came off better in that (silly drunken elves, pah!) Dwarves seem more ingenious, I think, and better at adapting to things.
