Quite frankly, there aren't enough reviews.

I realize that Dragon Wing is still a small site. A hatchling, if you will. But out of the 21 members of this site (that's the number of registrations I've recieved), the only people who consitantly review stories in the Critique section are myself and Fallen Angel.

If people can't rely on us for reviews, they have little reason to join the forum. And nobody wants that.

Please start to review stories in the critique section, or I'll have to start making rules limiting story-posting rights until a certain number of critiques are given.

May I make a suggestion Sage? Some people do not feel that they can edit because they appearently don't know anything other than basic grammer. Perhaps if we gave them a workshop type deal to where they could recongize problems with sentence structure and other things. . . . What do you think?

We do have a grammar discussion center. If you want to start such a workshop on your own, you're welcome too. The thing is, there has to be SOMETHING these people can say- I know many of them from other forums and sites and they're plenty talkative there biggrin.gif

A humble suggestion from a newcomer: maybe you could limit the length of the pieces people put up to review? It's hard to read a long chunk of text on-screen all at once (or maybe that's just me), and to do it justice in a review.

That's possible, but difficult. If a piece is too long to review in one go, then just do part of it and come back later (or not at all, if you wish). I understand your grief, but it people want to go for chunks of text (I know I do sometimes), they'll suffer for it in the end. Muhaha...er. Ahem. Yeah.

Dare we say 'Sage'?

That aside, the only real solution is for people to GO FORTH AND REVIEW. Really. Go forth. *shoos*

Hey easy on the shooing there Sage tongue.gif

But besides from that we need more people to review the stories instead of "Wa-hoo, totally sweet dude; continue laugh.gif"

....Sorry but thats what happens, they just read it, BUMP it and give no critique
