[[I figure... a couple hundred years ago for their first meeting?]]

She growled into the snowstorm, annoyed at it. Why it wasn't doing her bidding she didn't quite know, but it damn well should have been. She had meant to manipulate the already existing storm front to keep it away from herself but now it seemed to be following her like a loyal dog, or an obsessed male for that matter. Though on that vein of thought the two were very, very similar.

The thought had her growl change to a soft laugh, and she shook her head as she trudged on through the blowing snow, her boots crunching in the frost and ice on the ground. It wasn't that she hated the cold, in fact she relished it, but it would be easier to learn the town and not look suspicious doing it while the streets were busy, but they wouldn't be busy if there was snow and rain about. Except now there would be. Joy. Yay for her semi-unpredictable powers. She was old enough to have excellent control over solid ice, but when it came to winter storms she was still a novice. It was her element, but it veered into others too and she just hadn't had enough desire to practice it. She should have done.

Tuluth Port was the best place to find anyone or anything, and you could get whatever you wanted, though of course for a price. It may have been a major shipping port but she had a suspicion that half the ships in the harbor were pirate. She'd overflown the harbor a couple of times, way up high so she hadn't been able to see much detail (though more than anyone else may have seen) and she was very curious. Either lots of pirates or a fleet was in town.

A fleet in town meant work. Pirates in town probably meant fights.

Both appealed to her.

Work would be good, and it was just about the season for it. Or... the season was here now with her influence, though it should be a couple weeks off yet. Winter here in Arcadia was the 'summer' in the Northlands. Except summer in the Northlands was like the depth of winter on the Arcadian continent. Still, it was better than the howling, bone-chilling storms of the North's winters. Gods she loved them. There was so much magic in those storms and humans never realized it. Then again humans didn't realize many things, and and they couldn't sense magic either, at least not most of them. She was beginning to think that may be part of why they were so... aggressive. They could not feel what they were doing to the world around them.

Sighing when she still couldn't will the storm away she simply relaxed her attempts and let it do what it will. Which turned out to be somewhat of a mistake because right as she reached the edge of town and did so it started to howl. Apparently the influence of her magic had made it worse. Stumbling her way towards the only sign she could really see in the growing whiteout she pushed her way in, immediately assaulted by the smell of roasting meat, mead, and sweat. It had to be a tavern, and she was glad of that. Some nice cooked meat would be welcome. Looking up at the room she ignored the couple of curious glances her way and merely made her way to a corner table. Like hell she would have her back to the room. Settling in she left her hood up.

In general having it down was a bad idea. She had an excellent human form, but it was... attractive, or so she had been told by the last dragon she had encountered in it. Pale and toned she was apparently 'one of the most beautiful' women the male had ever seen. She'd laughed at the time, but she'd gone into a tavern like this one that night and men had ended up staring, she'd been hit on, more blunt suggestions had been made, and in a memorable moment two men who'd approached her at near the same time had ended up fighting over her. Sure she'd found it amusing as hell but it would draw attention she did not need right now.

Settling into the chair she let a smooth, pale hand extend from beneath her cloak and beckoned over the female human who was serving drinks. She asked for mead (couldn't get drunk but liked the taste) and a plate of the roast meat, whatever it was. The female nodded and scurried off, seemingly intimidated. With the exception of Slayers she got that a lot. Most humans seemed to... sense something about her, like they could feel the predator in her that honestly wanted to kill most of them. Slayers... they usually assumed she was a merc and took her manner more as a challenge than anything. Which was why she was glad there was none here. As much as she'd enjoy a fight or a practice bout it would be bothersome. She was hungry. Food first.

When it got there she leaned back in her chair and picked at the meat with elegant fingers, her hood slowly sliding back, something she simply didn't notice.

Adian Frayer (AKA Paxon) rolled off the willing tavern whore panting hard. Sweat glistened on his toned upper body as he moved his arm to his eyes breathing deeply while his heartbeat pounded in his chest. The woman he had been mounting was laid beside him panting just as hard, small keening moans coming from the back of her throat. She smiled and let out a hugely contented sigh as she rolled over she pressed her lips to his tanned chest.

“Adian! My word you were on fire tonight!”

Paxon chuckled low in his throat and ran his hands down the damp back of his bed mate for the night. Sitting up he smiled down at her grabbing his pants from the floor. He heard her low moan of displeasure and he turned the light catching his lightly tanned hair. His dark brown eyes roamed over her naked form as she preened under his attention.

“Not to worry little love, I am just going to fetch some much needed fuel. Remain exactly how you are right now and I shall be back before your body has cooled….”

Pax leaned down and covered the woman’s mouth with his own. It took all of one second before she was moaning into his mouth, pliant like putty. Pulling back he licked over lips before grabbing his leather jerkin and pulled it on over his head. He turned and looked back at the fully naked form of the woman. She was well rounded, large breasts and hard dark, hmmm perfect. With a shit eating grin on his face he turned and left the room closing the door firmly behind him. He was up for a night of fun, fucking and food. The 3 F’s he did love them.

Trotting down the stairs he came out in the back of the inn. The bar keep raised his hand in greeting and Pax have him a grin of a man who had a loooong night ahead.

“Rich! A plate of your best and two flagons of mead my good man!”

The silence which greeted him was odd. He frowned and looked around the room. Virtually all the men in the room had their eyes on the corner nearest him. He actually did a double take. Wow, she was… well…. Exceptional. Her skin was like carved ice and here she was sat at the edge of the tavern clearly unknowing of the tension which was building in the room. His eyes skimmed the rest of the men, more then a few were looking at her and wondering if they could just take what they wanted. Pax narrowed his eyes and then look back at the woman. He breathed in the scent of the room.

Well, well, well, a dragon and from the chill which had filled the room he guessed a white. The edge in the room was getting worse. The men were starting to raise their voices and shoving was happening. No doubt they were trying to work out who would get to try for the white dragon next. Pax smiled, this would be fun but he was not in the mood for bloodshed. Not when he had a willing, warm woman upstairs. With a low growl he pushed away from the wall. Last thing he needed was his night ruined by a woman who should know better then to hang around a human haunt like this.

Walking with confidence towards her men hushed their tones as he walked. His chest exposed as he moved right up to her table. He did not miss a beat as he literally dug his hand into the swath of platinum hair and covered her mouth with his. Wow, she tasted like, well nothing he could give words to. He kept the kiss passionate but closed lips and pulled away moving his lips to her ear. Well natured ribbing over the display soon filled the tavern room.

“I suggest playing along dragon or you will draw more attention to yourself then I believe you wish too…”

Pax pulled back just as a ground of 5 men moved up behind him. They were defiantly thugs. One stepped forward clearly the leader of the bunch.

“Adian, another conquest? Didn’t I see you retire with Melissa not 4 hours ago…”

Pax chuckled deeply and moved to sit beside the dragon. He kept his body painfully close to hers moving his arm around her shoulder.

“Well you know me Malcom, I am never satisfied with just one, I have been waiting for this little beauty all night…”

The men laughed and Malcom rolled his eyes. “You Adian are a horn dog of the worst kind, send her my way when your done would you?” he gave a nod to his group and they vanished off back into the tavern depths.

Oh she was pissed he could feel it. Maybe it was something to do with the frost that was covering the back of his arm and leg. He gave her a large grin and leaned in moving his lips close to her ear. He may have looked like he was relaxed and at ease but his voice was very matter of fact.

“Coming in here was a very stupid idea dragon, this is a common hang out for the slayers and you sort of…. Stand out…”

She well realized what was going on, she just didn't care. It wasn't like she could change how men reacted around her so she accepted it and moved on. Though given the silence her hand went up to touch her hair, and her eyes sharpened when she realized her hood had fallen back. Well that would be why they were all staring at her. Glaring, she sat very straight, leaning back in the chair, her hand drifting towards the dagger on her belt. Maybe one of them would try touching her, then she'd have an excuse to start a fight.

Though she saw a man moving through the crowd, and blinked. He was shirtless and he was quite attractive really. Maybe she'd- Her eyes narrowed when she caught his scent though. A Beast Kin? In the middle of a town and a bear at that. Interesting... Any thoughts she may have had about bedding the male dissipated, because she well knew the laws of his people. Yes he was attractive but it wasn't worth the pain in the ass or his death. Still, it didn't stop her eyes from brightening as she watched him move closer. Just because she couldn't touch didn't mean she wouldn't look. A nice toned chest was usually what she looked at first and she definitely was looking at a nice one now. She was looking intently enough that she didn't realize how close he was until he dug his hand into her hair and she growled, indignant, right until he kissed her.

She went pliant, gods she tasted good. Like honey and pine, and she even reached out to touch him... before she realized what she was doing, and snarled as he moved away, lips towards her ear. She heard what the other men were saying, and the air got damn near glacial.

“I suggest playing along dragon or you will draw more attention to yourself then I believe you wish too…”

He think she cared? He'd just kissed her in front of a room full of people and drawn even more attention to her and he thought she gave a shit? Oh she was livid, as the group of males got closer and she glared. Oh she was going to have vengeance for this. Sure he'd tasted so, so good but that didn't make a difference really. She stiffened when the male moved and sat beside her, but didn't resist at the moment. There was no point in starting a fight at the moment. A part of her though.. didn't mind the arm around her shoulder. She didn't have friends, no family, and casual touch just never happened for her because of it. She relaxed slightly, even going so far as to let go of her anger. A wonderful kiss and some warmth wasn't so bad right?

Then the bear opened his mouth and she turned to him, gaping. Had he just called her a whore? Oh yeah, he definitely had, and her eyes narrowed, flashing a glacial blue so pale it was almost indistinguishable from the white. She didn't move and didn't speak but she went very tense where a moment before she'd actually been genuinely relaxed. Frost that she couldn't control spread over the back of his arm and leg.

“Coming in here was a very stupid idea dragon, this is a common hang out for the slayers and you sort of…. Stand out…”

Khelek looked at him and smiled, eyes flashing.

"Oh Adian," she murmured with a smirk, sliding out from underneath his arm, pitching her voice not so that it was loud but so it was noticeable to most everyone around. "I told you. There is nothing in it for me anymore. After the last time you couldn't get it up why would I even touch you anymore?"

Leaning forward, she gave him a patronizing pat on the cheek and whispered low in his ear. "Next time you do something like that I'll freeze it and snap it off. I know you like using it, I can smell it." Smirking at him as she drew back, pleased with herself, she grabbed one of the flagons of mead that had been placed in front of the male, gave him a cheeky wave, and made for another table.

Settling she smirked across the room at the male, her eyes a little calmer now as she was more amused than anything else. At least until the male from before that had said something about 'wanting her next' approached. Her eyes narrowed, and she sighed, holding up a stalling hand.

"Oh don't even bother," she said with annoyance. "I am so far out of your league dear. Adian was about the lowest I go and he is minor nobility." Her eyes were sparkling as she looked at the bear over this male's shoulder. No, she couldn't resist stirring up things, and well knew what pointing out something like that (even if it was a total lie) would do in a tavern like the mermaid.

"Oh Adian, I told you. There is nothing in it for me anymore. After the last time you couldn't get it up why would I even touch you anymore?"

He actually startled at her words. Wow, harsh one wasn’t she? He blinked a few times then let out a huge roar of laughter, hell he couldn’t help it. He was not some usual male, he did not take offence at her attempts at distancing herself from him. Hell he didn’t blame her, if not for his laws he would glad take the white beauty to his bed and personally thaw her some. The other men around him quickly realised by the laughing of the man who had just been insulted that what the woman was saying had to be a bunch of rubbish. No man would take that kind of comment as if were nothing but a joke.

"Next time you do something like that I'll freeze it and snap it off. I know you like using it, I can smell it."

Her touch was like the kiss of winter and he suppressed a shiver along with a burned in his gut. Slaen she was a spitfire this one. He watched with a very appreciative eye as she turned and walked away from him across the room. Those robes did nothing to hide her body. He chuckled low in his chest as he watched Malcolm walk towards her. Oh he had no doubt she could leave this place in tatters.

But he was here for a reason, he had to meet with his slayer spy and with a dragon in residence it would not take long before the port would be crawling with slayers. This blasted woman arriving was going to cause issues. If his spy was exposed then he could kiss this next battle goodbye. Newly made leader of the Order of the Sun, he had a job to do. He knew of a pack of Beast Kin recently taken into captivity. He would be releasing them as soon as he had the information he needed from his informant.

"Oh don't even bother, I am so far out of your league dear. Adian was about the lowest I go and he is minor nobility."

He laughed again and stood grabbing his mead and his plate of food. He headed over towards her his eyes dancing merrily.

“Come come now my sweet, why hide your taste for lower class flesh…. Hmmm?”

He looked at Malcolm and grinned wide popping a grape into his mouth.

“She likes to be dominated, high born, blue-blood, they all love it, don’t you sweet?”

He laughed at the anger sparking in her eyes and leaned back up.

“Well boys, seems she is in the taste for the real lower class tonight, I am just too well born for her tastes… besides I have a warm wiling woman waiting for me… not in the mood to thaw a cold fish again tonight… maybe tomorrow pumpkin…”

He winked as her as he laughed and accepted the ribbing from the tavern patrons. He took one long last look at the dragon and hoped she would be more careful. He vanished up the stairs, he had been gone too long and his body and lust was driving him hard.

He laughed? It honestly made her smirk a little wider. So he wasn't afraid? He was even going to play along? How interesting. Of course it was all for show. Out of the public eye why would she even bother doing something like this? This was solely an attempt to get as many people wound up as possible, and while she was disappointed it didn't seem to be working with the bear it wasn't too bad. The man in front of her definitely seemed pissed.

The male seemed to want to continue the game, even coming towards her, and she arched a brow as he moved close.

“Come come now my sweet, why hide your taste for lower class flesh…. Hmmm?”

Khelek laughed, her smirk widening.

"I hide nothing and only speak the truth," she said with the smirk, though she was speaking the truth anyway.

“She likes to be dominated, high born, blue-blood, they all love it, don’t you sweet?”

The white stared at him and grinned. "Oh I won't argue that Adian. I do love to be dominated, but you haven't managed that." That was also truth. A male HAD to be able to dominate her to have any chance, and she definitely liked attempts being made in that vein. It was the way of dragons certainly and most beasts as well.

“Well boys, seems she is in the taste for the real lower class tonight, I am just too well born for her tastes… besides I have a warm wiling woman waiting for me… not in the mood to thaw a cold fish again tonight… maybe tomorrow pumpkin…”

Khelek stared at him, agape. She had no response to that, none at all. A cold fish? She was not a fish and she wasn't- Ok so she WAS cold, but she was not a damn fish! And she was not his pumpkin, and never would be. Frowning after him, she concentrated just as she saw the bear disappear around the bend in the stairs. When she heard a pained yelp she grinned. Ice on the stairs was perhaps petty but it was definitely satisfying.

Though she turned her attention back to the room, a quiet smirk on her lips and ignored the staring man. Malcolm she believed his name had been. She'd been distracted by the male's sound of pain, and so hadn't noticed a man slip out of the tavern and simply sat back in her chair and sipped her mead. Well, it had been Adian's mead, and it tasted better for it being free. The male was still staring at her, and she sighed, gesturing to the chair across from her. "Sit if you like." This Malcolm was at least nice to look at. Not nearly as nice as the bear but still... nice for a human. She tilted a considering head at the male as he took a seat, a smile growing on his face.

The honest truth was that the smell of sex generally put her in the mood for some herself and the smell of it had been strong on the bear. Normally she didn't bother with humans, afraid of breaking them, but she thought she had enough control over her magic and strength not to kill the man.

"So... changed your mind have you?"

"Perhaps," she smiled, a twitch of her lips, rising to her feet and beckoning the male to follow. As she passed the inn keep she spoke. "I am using one of your rooms. I will pay in the morning." The man following her had a grin on his face now that he wasn't even bothering to hide, and there were disappointed murmurs from many of the other patrons of the tavern which she ignored as she scaled the stairs. When they were to the top she found herself shoved hard against the wall outside the single room with an open door, and she smirked at the male and just let it happen, knowing full well she could snap his neck with the flick of a finger.

He didn't kiss her, she was thankful for that, but ran a rough, calloused hand down the front of her body. She allowed herself to shiver, allowed herself to feel a bit of pleasure as the man picked her up, encouraged her to wrap her legs around his waist and carried her into the room, shutting the door behind him with his foot. Maybe not such a loss on the night after all.

====================

She woke with a yawn, stretching out on the bed. The white wasn't satisfied, humans had never done it for her, but she had had some pleasure. The male was gone, she assumed sometime in the night, but she thought nothing of it. She had not expected him to stay. There had been some pleasure yes but she didn't think she was going to do it again, not with a human. If a human could not bring her to satisfaction there was really very little point.

Growling, her lithe form rose from the bed and she went over to the basin, splashing cold water on her face. It didn't feel that cold, but it smoothed the sleepy grit from her eyes, and she blinked owlishly into the mirror.

There was the scent of smoke on the air, the jangling of armor from out her window...

Khelek blinked, sleepy and slightly confused as she pulled on her clothing. Perhaps a troop of mercenaries had arrived, it WAS that kind of tavern afterall. Finally dressed, she had her belt in her hand and was fastening it about her waist as she went to peek out the window. A shout went up, and she heard the familiar voice of her lover from the night before.

"That's her! The one with the scaled tail!"

The white stared at him, her eyes going glacial. Oh that little son of a whore.. She'd let him touch her and this was how she was repaid? Snarling, she noticed the piles of straw all around the outside of the inn and her eyes went wide. They wouldn't be doing that unless... One of them knew the weakness of a white. She had to get out NOW. Grabbing her pack, shoving on her boots and grabbing her whip and dagger she went racing out the hall. If they thought she was a dragon, which they obviously DID they would not warn anyone. They'd just burn it down.

"FIRE!" she screamed as she heard the whoosh of the straw catching, trying to warn who she could, and heard some doors opening downstairs and screams... but all thankfully nearer the doors. They were going to get out, she was happy, but she was starting to cough as the smoke rose, and when she reached a partially open door an arrow went whistling past her, one she barely dodged. "Son of a bitch!" she snarled, seeing the large shape loom in the doorway, metal flashing off a blade. She drew her whip, the tendril cracking out and wrapping around the blade. She jerked and it went flying as she drew a throwing dagger and tossed it, being rewarded with a gurgling, choking sound as the body fell. Throat shot, lovely. She tried to bring the storm back, but it was too warm, she couldn't concentrate, was sweating, and there was too little moisture in the air for her to manipulate.

They knew. They were going to just keep her in here, and she would die.

Pax was warm and comfortable his arm thrown over his eyes. After a marathon sex session with a rather tired out Melissa he was snoozing in the afterglow. A funny smell reached his nose and he snorted and rolled over burying his face against the big breasted woman. He heard shouting and running footsteps and lifted his head with a groan. What on earth was going on out there? The smell reached his nose again and Pax groaned blinking the sleep from his eyes. He rolled over and looked at the door, with a frown he rolled from bed and naked as the day he was born he walked towards the door. His hand on the door handle when he heard a loud shout from down the hall.

FIRE!!!

That woke him right up. Pax moved quickly towards the bed and shook Melissa awake. The woman pushed him away and rolled away from him. Pax rolled his eyes and pushed the woman off the bed. She squealed and looked at him over the bed her eyes burning with fire.

“Get up… we need to leave… get dressed….”

The woman heard the cries of fire and her eyes went wide. She started grabbing her clothing and even before she was fully dressed she was out the door. Smoke was starting to waft into the room. Pax rolled his eyes and grabbed his pants and his shirt. He draw them on grabbing his sword and his belt with money bag. He walked from the room, he did not let panic rule him as his beast would have more leeway to take over if he panicked. Finishing buckling his belt he headed towards the stairs smoke was now filling the upstairs. Other then the snow it had been a dry winter so far, this place would burn like tinder.

He reached the top of the stairs his hearing picking up the shouts outside. They were not the usual sounds of people running for water. It sounded more like chanting, someone was shouting about burning the freak. He wondered for a second if they were talking about him then as his foot took the first step he paused. The dragon? No, how could they have known? Did she show one of the humans part of her power? Shaking his head he took another step down and stopped again. He should leave her, she brought this on herself coming into this bar. He should leave, but damn himself for a fool. He turned and ran back down the hallway.

“Dragon?!”

The smoke burned the back of his throat and made his eyes water as he moved towards the heart of the fire.

“Damn you dragon answer me!?”

The heat was incredible as he moved towards the glow at the end of the hall. The heat was burning on his flesh as he coughed a few times and lowered himself to the floor. The air was cleaner down here. Taking a breath he looked around the gloom of smoke. If she had got out he was going to kill her himself. He was about to give up and leave when he saw a pale hand stuck out of a door. Damn it…

Moving forward through the heat and smoke he grabbed the hand and pulled her from the room. She was unconscious her skin felt like dry paper. Swearing he grabbed her and pulled her into his arms, moving her body he picked her up over his shoulder and moved back towards his room. He could not go out the front of the tavern, the mob was out there, they were dangerous enough to warrant a jump from his window. He laid her lifeless body on his bed and moved to the windows.

Pushing them open he sucked in a breath of cool air and coughed deeply. Looking down at the large snow bank outside he picked her up in his arms and swung his feet over the ledge. He closed his eyes and dropped landing body first in the snow bank. The chill cooled the burns on his skin as he rolled from the snow and pulled her with him. Holding her over his shoulder he took off at a run and vanished into the forest while the flickering of the fire cast eerie shadows over the fields.

Eventually they'd stopped coming through the door, content to shoot arrows in to keep her inside, and she'd given up, wilting in the heat. She'd moved further back into the inn, looking for another way out, up the stairs, eyes watering at the smoke and heat as her weakness grew. She was heading for a window, any window where she didn't see people outside of. She grew weaker with every second in the intense heat, coughing, and it wasn't long before she was stumbling down the hallway, and into a room. She dropped to her knees, crawling, but the heat was sapping any strength she had, any concentration. She couldn't even maintain her temperature, a trick she used to allow herself to stay in this part of the world a little longer each year. She had to leave in the summers.

Her eyes rolled back in her head suddenly, and she collapsed awkwardly, a hand flopping just outside the door. She could hear for a few moments longer, the screams and shouts and the chanting, and she hoped two things. She hoped those few humans who were innocent had escaped, and she hoped those who weren't died horribly. Then she was out like a light, unaware of the bear finding her, unaware of him leaping, running off into the forest and saving her life.

When she woke up she WAS aware she was alive, but that was hardly reassuring considering she was.. buried? She flipped out, scrabbling weakly at what was encasing her until she realized it was.. snow? She blinked in confusion, turning her head and looking around. She saw.. the bear? He seemed to be sleeping by the fire, eyes closed, breathing evenly, and she winced when she saw his burns. He'd been thoughtful enough to keep her cold and had seemingly saved her... dammit, now she owed him. Growling softly she grabbed a handful of snow and ate it. She needed the water and it would help her from the inside too. After a few minutes of this she hesitantly sat up, but realizing she was naked she blinked. Practically it made sense. The snow on skin had probably kept her from dying but... She flushed slightly, a pale pink tinge on porcelain skin.

"Thank you," she said, her voice weak but not shaky, "I would have died. I'm Khelek." She was sounding meek, but it was only really weakness.

She sat with her knees to her chest in the pile of snow, the redness and dryness fading from her skin as the cold took hold in her again. This sucked. Now she owed the arrogant ass of a bear for saving her life. "I owe you now," she said softly. Until she saved his life she remained in his debt. "I'm sorry for your burns.. Once I can move I know of herbs to help them." She was being nice because he'd saved her life and because she was too weak to run or defend herself if she pissed him off.

Pax hurt, by Slaen he hurt. His skin was tight and painful, every time he moved he caught one of the burns and it sent a surge of pain through him. Wincing he rolled over to face the fire. Hell he needed the fire to keep himself warm, but even the heat from the fire was painful on his skin. He wished the heat coming from his skin would actually keep him warm and not pulse with pain every second. He opened his eyes she found the dragon was awake and staring at him. Anger burning in his blood as he groaned in pain pushing himself up into a sitting position.

"Thank you, I would have died. I'm Khelek."

Khelek… he tested the name out in his mind. And old name for a being as powerful as she must be. Her age was like sparks against his skin. No doubt when she was at full power she could kick his ass without even thinking about it. He winced as he grabbed his pack from beside him deciding it was best not to answer her right now. He pulled some dried meat strips from his bag and ripped into them. His bear was hungry, wanted to go hunting and also wanted to sleep. Usually Pax spent most of the winter holed up in the Order resting, sometimes making it up for 3-4 hours a day. He could not resist all the urges of his beast during winder time.

The dragon was holding her knees to her naked body and she was looking better by the second. Whereas he was in a lot more pain the more he moved.

"I owe you now, I'm sorry for your burns… Once I can move I know of herbs to help them."

He snorted and threw her some of the dried meat. He grit his teeth as he leaned over and threw another log on the fire. She might be okay in this cold but he could freeze. Well now she was awake he pondered just leaving her too it. Bare-chested he eased himself back down into a sitting position and looked at her. She was spectacular, the snow was glittering on her skin like small diamonds. She looked wide eyed and a little shell shocked that someone would set an Inn on fire to kill her. He wondered if she realised how close she had been to death.

“I’m Paxon… and you’re a very lucky dragon Miss Khelek… they were set to kill you, by any means….

Well now you are awake and relatively unscathed I am going to return home…”

He hissed as he pushed himself to his feet. He didn’t want her help, hell he had enough punishment for his good deed of saving her life his burns attested to that. Last thing he needed was more. Grabbing his bedroll and his pack his skin protesting to his movements after so recently being burned. Hell he was going to have to get the burns seen to when he got back to the Order.

He wasn't even speaking to her. That wasn't promising, and from the posture and look in his eyes he was angry. Like really, truly angry and she didn't quite understand why. The snort had her arching a brow, though she frowned soon after. She was being nice, acknowledging that she owed him. Being owed anything by a dragon was usually considered a boon. He didn't even look the slightest bit shocked or... anything. Of course he was burned and the sky seemed to be threatening more snow but.. still.

Khelek caught the meat though when it was tossed at her, grateful, and munched on a piece contentedly. It was jerky, and she preferred fresh but it was really rather wonderful all told. She watched as he moved about, putting another log on the fire, the way his muscles moved beneath flesh and charred skin... Oooh, right, charred skin. Herbs in the area... There should be some of the seasonal herbs about still unless- She looked around for her pack, and seeing it beside her little encasement of snow she smiled slightly. She had a pouch in there of herbs, she was positive she had some... Caught up in grabbing them she unwrapped her arms and stood, not caring (for the moment anyway) about her nakedness as she opened the leather bag and rummaged through it.

“I’m Paxon… and you’re a very lucky dragon Miss Khelek… they were set to kill you, by any means….

Well now you are awake and relatively unscathed I am going to return home…”

Humans had become... even more savage since she had last been in the area. She didn't remember them as being so willing to kill their own kind just to get one of hers before. It was why she was rummaging in the pack, because she didn't want to think about it, though the wide-eyed, slightly shocked look was still on her face as she glanced back at him.

"Then I will escort you Paxon," she said, her musical voice clearly testing his name on her tongue. She found the herb pouch and set it aside. "If needs be I can carry you." Pulling clothing from the pack she blinked, remembering finally she was naked and flushing, hurriedly pulling out the rest. Boots, leggings, shirt, tunic, belt, dagger, whip and cloak. She was ready.

Grabbing a small bowl she measured out a touch of herbs, grabbed a handful of snow and mixed it altogether, the crystals melting slightly to make a mealy sort of paste. "This works better if it's ground finer but this will help," she murmured as she approached him, "Now hold still." He was moving and she started to growl. "I mean it. Stop. If you don't get something on those burns so you can tolerate fabric on your skin you will freeze to death. I can keep the major storms away once I am back to strength but in the middle of winter I cannot keep the cold away, not enough to keep you warm anyhow." She was concerned. Basically she owed a life debt to the man.

"Also.. why are you so angry Paxon? I thanked you for saving my life, I owe you a debt. Is there some way you would prefer payment?" She frowned. She wasn't used to people not being wary or in awe or grateful for her presence. Hell, she wasn't used to other people in general any longer.
