[b] Race Application Form

Name: Korin
Gender: Male
Age: 17

Race: Beast Kin

Abilities: Wolf Shift

*Weapons: Fangs

Character Descriptions

Hair: Blond
Eyes: Blue
Height: 6 foot
Weight: 150 lbs

Animal Soul: Black Wolf

*Other Visible Features:

Description:

Korin's fair hair is short, and is described as more of a wavy style than straight. His eyebrows are thicken than average, and rest above a pair of blue/gray-steel ice irises. For his facial shape, it's mature without any traces of baby fat on it. His nose is average, and his lips are set firmly in a half-smile. For facial hair, he doesn't have that much since he thinks it's uncomfortable.

For attire, he wears a black suede jacket and a pair of blue pants. Around his neck he has a gold chain with a cross on it, but has no special thoughts behind it. It's just something he found when he went for a walk. On his finger, Korin bears a plain ring of an unidentified material to him. Again, it's not symbolic of anything, it's just something he took a liking to.

Korin has a weathered look about him-as if he has been always traveling through his entire short life. His bearing isn't cocky, perse, but more confident-as if he knows his place in the hierarchy. Korin's body language carries no shame in it, but he has no pride in his blood or lineage, If only for the reason he doesn't know who his family is.

Personality:

Korin is what society labels as a loner. He puts on this act of pretending to be standoffish and push others away, but what he wants most is a family. He has a hard time showing emotions, but in reality Korin is a very sensitive soul. Tending to be more stoic than talkative, others believe he didn't hear them, when in fact he was contemplating a reply. Korin is one of those beings that are a little on the slow side to come up with an answer to a question.

Korin shows respect to those he knows outrank him, which is pretty much everyone in his opinion. He is secretly shy of women, and wouldn't dare to even approach one. He wouldn't quite turn tail and run, but would keep his distance from them nonetheless. Korin is surprisingly a good listener, which together with his compassion gives him a patience and skill he hasn't had to use yet. The skill to comfort and give someone a shoulder to cry on, a surface to steady another. Korin is definitely a supporting character rather than a leading one.

He fits the description of more brave than intelligent. Simply put, if he were a firefighter he would be the one risking his life to save the child inside a burning building that is about to collapse. Korin's dominating trait is loyalty, so he would never consider abandoning another in a time of need. If he had someone beside him, he would, without hesitation, die for that one's life to go on. Korin, surprisingly, likes young children, although it takes him a while to come out of his shell and interact with them.

History:

Korin's past is far from the norm. He doesn't remember much about it, but he was left at home one day...

Flashback

"When Korin was young, a few days after his 6th birthday, his sire came running into their isolated home bringing the news that the Order of the Slayers had found out the location of the family of three's home. They had seen Koruven, who had been out hunting, and were now following him back to his house. Korin wasn't sure what was happening, but was definitely old enough to realize that something was wrong. Anyways, Koruven decided the best thing to do was to attempt at drawing the Slayers away...but at the cost of his own life.

Unfortunately for Korin and his dam, the Slayers broke into two groups. One to follow Koruven and the other to search for their domain. Kerasza, Korin's dam, fled the building when she realized that the Order of the Slayers had found them. However, the delayed flight ended in tragedy, although the most likely cause was because Koruven and Kerasza had banked their family's survival on all the Slayers pursuing Koruven in their desire to clear the world of the kin, wolf and dragon alike.

Little did Kerasza know, the ambush had already been set. The Slayers had surrounded their home to prevent the wolf kin from escaping. Kerasza would have submitted and hoped for the best, but her maternal instinct drove her to fight to defend her son. Kerasza had come to terms with the fact she probably wouldn't survive the encounter. But she would do her best to make sure her son, and Koruven's living issue, would survive.

Since then, Korin has wandered around the wilderness, surviving off the land but never staying in one place for long. When he was younger, his parents educated him, and so from them he knew it was wrong to breed with a human. Since then, however, he has forsaken that idea because he had no one to speak to about that. Korin doesn't believe that mating with a human is a blasphemous act-or so deemed by the elder kin of beast and dragon races. When he reached his seventeenth year, after much debate, he decided on the wolf to be his change in form. It was the decision that compelled him to seek out Astenly Village because of the rumor that other beast kin had made their habitat there.

Just a couple little things =)

He is seventeen, and too young to have shifted according to our info. Beast Kin shift for the first time in their 18th year. So you can either bump him up a year or rewrite a little bit to reflect that.

Also, and I know it's little, but we do not have blue wolves. Black is fine, but for the animals we're sticking to natural looks.

Other than that I see no problems, so just fix those two itty bitty things and let me know =)
