Catching a Bite

[Urgh, got grounded so I couldn't come on. Sorry Cookie. And since I don't know what to post...I'll just put this thing here. o.o;]

Ivian stood there, together with Jiro and Hanabi as Kisakimon burst in, and began to whack up the other Digimon. Streak and Vanguard were somewhat wounded, and the hyper girl was clutching Kyru like those high class women clutch their crocodile skin tote bag, not letting him go.

((Ack! Help! Homework...burying...me...can't...hold on...O.o))

Rearing up on his hind quarters, HippoGryphomon met Kisakimon's rush with his own front paws, pushing back on her shoulders to keep her sharp jaws away from his own beak. Just because these digimon were weak didn't mean that he shouldn't exercise caution.

"Angry little kitten aren't you?" He grunted, suddenly struggling to keep his footing. "Like a mother trying to protect its weak brood from imminent annihilation. You know what happens to those mothers in the end, right?" He flexed his wings and made sure that the other children were at least partly in range.

"They can't save them all" the beast charged another Heat Wave, grinning at how pleased Lord Shivamon would be to hear the news that these chosen were all dead and their partners defeated. Oh yes, it would be nice...

[Kotone]

Kisakimon stumbled back after being blocked. She shook her head and smirked. "You'd be surprised. I've seen it happen." Before HippoGryphomon could fire his attack, Kisakimon spread her wings. "NILE GEM!"

The red gem on her golden collar began to glow bright red, along with her outstretched wings. Then without warning her wings fired a blast of white energy at HippoGryphomon.

With both Kisakimon's attack, along with the unspent energy of his own assault thrown at him, the white down of HippoGryphomon's fur was lost as pavement exploded around him and fire took hold of his coat. By the time he had doused the fires of the attack, no longer was he a pure white, but a burnt and charred gray.

But he hadn't been the only one caught up in the explosion. Arms thrown over his head, Patty had barely missed being cleaved in two by a passing chunk of concrete. Kopi, buried under some more rubble, hadn't escaped as easily.

"A worthy opponent." dryly observed the ultimate. He made a move to push forward, only for his eyes to roll skyward and his legs to buckle beneath him. Unconscious, but not deleted, HippoGryphomon was a sitting duck.
