Reunion of Two Knights (Lance and Kiara)

[Lance Augusta]

Immediately Growlmon was struck by the attack, falling back a few metres. However he got back up, still determined to end this battle and immediately Lance said,
"Growlmon get in close, I've got a nasty surprise in store for him." He said. Growlmon responded with a roar and charged at SkullScorpiomon from the front. As his partner closed the gap between themselves, Lance brought his first card up to his D-Arc.
"Digi-Modify! Brachiomon Activate!" Came his response.

Growlmon then paused as a light bathed him as well as a silhouette of Brachiomon who was a water type Dinosaur digimon, Ultimate level. Immediately Growlmon's eyes turned completely blue and he cried out "Brachio Bubble!", sending out an assault of extremely powerful bubbles in SkullScorpiomon's face but also at his tail area. The attack was powerful enough that it ripped the tail off from its body at the base of it. Luckily it meant Flameleomon was unscathed in the process. SkullScorpiomon meanwhile was thrown back by the attack and was now in pure pain and agony as his tail's data disappeared.

As this occurred, Lance then followed up with "Digi-Modify! Speedy Sevens activate!"
Growlmon let out another roar in which a pink orb shone above him and once more he was bathed in a light. This then healed the wounds he previously had but also increased his strength by a small margin. Not only that but his reaction time was much faster now, Growlmon charged forward after SkullScorpiomon who was still recovering from the previous attack, now hurt badly. Growlmon charged up his Plasma Blades once more and yelled "Dragon Slash!", thrusting forward with his right blade and then slashed sideways with his left blade, causing serious damage to the insect.

Flameleomon rolled away as the tail's data disappeared, the water attack had left him spiriling out of the way and busting apart from the cross fire. Leormon got himself to his feet and meramon laid in the water until Leormon nudged him and he managed to pull himself on the dry ground to recover, for now the battle was in Growlmon's claws.
"Leormon! Meramon!" Kiara shouted and rushed to their side to get them in the XrosLoarder to recover they had just entered when SkullScorpiomon made his next move.

He had taken Growlmon's hits and was in very bad shape, he really should have quit but HerculesKabutarimon did not like failure so he did what he had to do, "BLACKOUT!" The area was thrown back into darkness, allowing SkullScorpiomon to slink away. In the darkness it was impossible to see where everyone was or even the hand in front of your face.

Suddenly three red dots appeared in the darkness along with many others all around the area, surrounding the fighters. "I won't lose, I'll get that bird and you will all DIE!" SkullScorpiomon screamed and the sound was echoed by a multitude of higher voices. Then there were screams. Kiara covered her ears and screamed right along with them as SkullScorpiomon destoryed the flybeemon and abosrbed their data.

"You see, I won't be beaten, I can't be beaten! Lightening Poison Pierce!" The attack flashed through the darkness lighting the new SkullScorpiomon for a moment, showing his new grey and red coloring. "Come and die!" He cackled into the darkness.

Lance had not expected this. At first the screeching more or less blinded him to what was going on but then it quickly died off. However now they had a new threat, this new form of SkullScorpiomon had emerged, now it seemed he was fully regenerated too. At the moment though he was invisible until he came out and slashed Growlmon aside with his new attack. Unfortunately the cards effects had worn off and now he was extremely vulnerable. Lance ran over to Kiara.

"Kiara, do you have anyone else that might be able to help us?" As he said this, the tamer flicked through some more cards and then a thought came to him. Though it was unheard of, he figured he might as well try it.
"Hang on, I have another idea. Show me that digivice of yours, I might be able to give your Digimon a boost." He said.
They were really running out of options now but Lance had at least one more trick up his sleeve.

When the screaming died down Kiara uncovered her ears, it was horrible but the new and improved SkullScorpiomon was even worse. He was so confident that he had released the darkness surrounding them. Kiara saw Growlmon take the hit while SkullScorpiomon laughed in triumph. "You thought you had me beat! I'll crush you and then those puny humans along with anyone who stands in the way of Lord HerculesKabutarimon! HAHAHAHA! Lightening Poison Pierce!"

When Lance appeared at her side she looked at her digivice. "I'm not sure my team is recovered enough to rejoin the battle yet..." She said handing over the XrosLoader. Inside Leormon and Meramon, still pretty beat up looked out.

"We can handle it, this guy can't be allowed to win," Leormon said and Meramon nodded. Kiara looked over quickly, "And how is Buraimon doing?"

"He's getting there," Meramon responded, his friend was slowly gaining back the strength and feeling in his arm, "soon." Kiara looked to Lance, "What did you have in mind?"

Lance quickly spoke up, "If I used an option card whilst at the same our digivices screens are together or pressed on each other, I may be able to cause a connection between them, allowing my Digivice's power to flow into yours. If this works, I may be able to restore your Digimon and they could fight once more. Not only that but I could also boost their strength. I'm willing to do anything at this point and this is crazy as it is but I can't win with just Growlmon out there."

The suggestion was crazy enough as it was but if it worked, they would be able to turn the tables on the match and also achieve something never ever done before. Not only that but Lance could see that Growlmon was not going to last too long out there. He hoped Kiara would be willing to try, else they would have to retreat.

Kiara looked doubtful, the whole principal was wrong and the two digivices were completely incompatible, but then again what did they have to lose. She held up her digivice and nodded, "Alright let's give it a try." Then the screen began to glow and a beam of light flew from her digivice to Lance's. The energy streamed in and Kiara felt her digivice grow hot. When she heard cries from her team she broke the connection.

"Are you guys ready?" Kiara asked. Leormon and Meramon immediately said yes and realized from the digivice, to her surprise Buraimon was there as well. She and Leormon looked at him curiously and Meramon looked at him expectantly.

"I'm ready," Buraimon said causing Leormon to grin ferally, Meramon to smile and Kiara to quickly shake off her shock and grin. "Lets do this." Kiara held up her Xrosloader quickly, "Leormon, Meramon, Buraimon! DigiXros!" The three were immediately surrounded in more fire as they combined. SkullScorpiomon let up on his attack at the shouting and glared at the humans.

"X3 Phenoshimon!" The flames spiraled away to reveal the winged lion swordsman. "Blazing Sword!" Phenoshimon charged his Katana and unleashed a wave of fire at the scorpion monster. The attack hit and pushed SkullScorpiomon away from Growlmon even as Phenoshimon rushed to hit him in close combat.

As Lance's and Kiara's devices came together, a beam of light from Kiara's device came through to Lance's D-Arc. To Lance he was shocked at this "Too good to be true! It worked!" He thought to himself. Quickly though he did his part in which he held the device where it was and swiped a card through it saying "Digi-Modify! Blue Aura Activate!" in which a card with a blue energy beam on it went through the D-Arc. This then channeled straight into Kiara Taggart's device. Once this was done the beam disappeared, severing the connection. It was done though. Lance watched as the DigiXros took place. Indeed he had never seen this form of evolution before. Either way the form that took place was even more awesome.

"That card's effect essentially restored your Digimon back most of their strength whilst at the same time restored much of their power. " Said Lance. At least now they had a fighting chance with this new form. Lance saw this as a good time to tend to Growlmon in which he went "Digi-Modify! Medium Recovery Activate!".
A card containing a yellow floppy disc in it emerged from his deck and he quickly slashed it into his digivice. Growlmon who was really hurting was bathed in a light once again, this time his wounds were healed. Now feeling stronger, Growlmon ran forward to assist Phenoshimon.
"Growlmon, back up Phenoshimon!" He said to his partner.
Growlmon roared in acknowledgement and proceeded head on into battle, feeling rejuvinated.

Kiara was smiling as she watched Phenoshimon in action, this was amazing, she never imagined they would stand a chance against SkullScorpiomon but now... now they could beat him, she knew it. In the field Phenoshimon was cutting into the scoprion monster making nicks in even his armor but it wasn't quite enough, not yet.

"Phenoshimon get back and attack with Growlmon!" Kiara shouted, the X3 monster wasted no time. He checked to see that Growlmon was on his feet and grinned before launching himself into the air, narrowly missing the poisonous tail again. Once there it seemed like his wings were lit on fire as he shouted, "Fire Storm!" and watched the flames rain down on SkullScorpiomon.

Growlmon remained in a fighting stance but relaxed as he watched the new digimon's attack "rain total hell" in the literal sense down on the large bug. This battle was pretty much won to the good guys tonight and as Growlmon watched, he felt rather amazed and in some ways a little fearful of this new Digimon. At the same time, he was just glad to have won. This battle had worn him down hard and all the dragon just wanted to do was sleep now. As SkullScorpiomon disappeared however, he said in a loud tone filled with anguish and pain; "HerculesKabuterimon will find you!!!" before finally his fractal code gave away and disappeared completely.

Growlmon immediately reverted back to Guilmon and sat down on the spot, resting. As he panted he said, "Nice work. Lance and myself would not have won that if it had not been for you guys. This victory is yours."
Lance then added from a distance, "Well done Guilmon, we will rest shortly." And then he turned to Kiara, "I know you may not consider this at all, but we are certainly not rogues by choice. And despite how you might feel, I think you and I could be friends. Are we in agreement? I'm not offering to combine our forces together but say in the event we need to work together again, I want to know that we can."
In saying that, Lance brought out his hand in an offer of friendship.

Kiara shielded her eyes as the attack rained down, it seemed to easy but she wasn't going to argue with the results. One pixiled digimon and a new member to her team. The trio broke apart after the fight was over, looking a little beat up but thanks to Lance and the digivice trick. Leormon grinned in response to Guilmon while Meramon and Buraimon nodded in response.

Kiara was about to talk to her partners when Lance began to speak, immediately the rush of battle wore off and she got sick to her stomach. Regardless, he had come back, he had helped them and for that the least she could do was accept this much. She smiled, even if it barely looked like it she tried!, and took his had. "I think we'll need all the help we can get if there is ever going to be an end to this war." Kiara said simply and let go quickly. Touching him, even a handshake, was too much.

"What will you do now?" Leormon asked at the side, he knew they would have to report to Dr. Roberts but Guilmon had proved himself a friend, and a pretty cool fighter to boot, so he just had to know.

Lance thought for a moment. Indeed they had a bit of freedom right now and there was two ways they could go.
"With those members of BlackGreymon's private army dead that may save Guilmon and myself some time. In that case, we will join you. Better strength in numbers. At the same time too, as you are the established leader here Kiara, we will gladly follow your lead."
"BlackGreymon will be too busy looking through other regions in which to find us not to mention extremely angry at himself once he discovers we aren't around this area." Added Guilmon, also taking a liking to this idea of them teaming up. It was pretty obvious Kiara knew how to command her Digimon.

[Kiara Lycro]

Kiara nodded and Leormon looked thoughtful while her other team members examined the area. "Well, then it won't do to hold you up any longer. Unfortunately, the appearance of one of HerculesKabuterimon's soliders means we need to report right now. Good luck staying out of trouble," Kiara said with a short wave before holding out her Xros Loader and loading her new and imporved team.

Then she pointed it away and pressed a side button, opening a portal to the Elder's office. "Hope BlackGreymon doesn't get you," Kiara said before stepping through and disappearing from the digital world.
