Title: Duel Monster Chronicles

Prologue
The First Seal of the Forbidden One has been broken...
It was a quiet - early evening, following a sunset nearing a beautiful landscape just on the overview of a majectic forest. The sun was a dimmed orange mirage just inches before resting below the horizon. A figure, covered in a dark-purple robe made it's way down the given path, towards the remainding light of the day. The bein was making his way down with a swift fashion he had arrived moments before by assistance of his dark arts which guided him in a speeding dark-thick mist. He was denied access to his magic after arriving near the atmosphere of the wonderous forest. This Spellcaster was known to the world as Mahad, the Dark Magician and with such a reputation given to that name in this world, you were forbidden to use any sort of Magic in the Hidden Village of Spellcasters...
Shortly after Mahad's entrance in to the forest, his body had instantly dissapeard to the naked eye. anyone who didn't have knowledge of where or what the Hidden Village was, they would not be granted access into it - as if the village would not even exist.
"Mahad" A young women's voice drew near the Dark Magician. "They're waiting for you" It was his younger sister, Kairi, The Dark Magician Girl who greeted him at the village entrance.
The Dark Magician said nothing to his sister, his mind was clearly focused towards the task at hand.
He quickly made his way through the village roads, speed walking down the alleys and shortly arrived at the Magical Library, where today the greatest leaders of the spellcasting community gathered in the grand study hall of the Dark Sage, Orphelius.
When Mahad entered, opened an audience of spectators; The powerful order known as the Magician's Circle were each sitting on thrones, astonishing - mystical thrones.
"Ah! The Dark Magician!" A sarcastic tone came from ironically another Dark Magician...
"Arkana"
Mahad's half brother sat beside his two motionless-standing Trickeys, servants of the Dark Magic Arts.
"Please, join us" Arkana spoke out of his turn, the Dark Sage himself slammed the end of his thunderous staff on the ground as it echoed through the darkness in the shadows of what seemed to be an endless wide-great hall.
There were nearly a dozen thrones across the room, in the middle was large round table with another set of seats, comfortable but nothing like thrones.
Mahad said nothing, took his place as the conversation between the Magician's Circle and their closest allies, the Imperial Order continued.
"The rumors, are they true?" The woman's voice came from the inner circle of the warriors as she turned her head left to Orphelius, of course the audience followed the movement. This armor suited soldier was amongst the greatest warrior within the Imperial Order, she spoke right in her place amongst her leader, Gilford the Lightning and his second in command Arthurius, The Buster Blader.
"Yes, Minerva - the first seal of the forbidden one has been broken. We suspect it to be Dark Magic, but we cannot be certain" Orphelius answered the Black Luster Soldier, with a frank answer to her concerns.
"How can we not be so certain it's not those foolish demons from the Dark World" Gilford, the only one in the inner circle sitting on a throne spoke to Orphelius with great hatred towards his enemies.
"Our suspicion of the Dark World Army being involved in this are at large aswell, but understand Master Gilford, they seek other goals rather than releasing Exodia" The silence suddenly was louder than words... no one dared to speak after the gutsy Arkana, Even the Dark Sage was displeased by his grandson's actions, everyone knew the Forbidden One should never be given his
name.
"YOU FOOL!" Roared Arthurus, he was one to never trust the Spellcasters, let alone the Dark Magicians and their unpredictable bloodline.
"The fools are those with blades that shout like cowards" Arkana gave a witty response to the Buster Blader's reaction.
Arthurius quickly got to his feet faster than Arkana could speak but fragments of seconds before he pointed his massive sword at Arkana, Mahad reluctantly appeared with his staff right below Arthurius' chin.
"Calm yourself, he's not worth it" Mahad whispered at Arthurus as both Gilford and Orphelius stood up.
"ENOUGH! These childish games shall end right now!" His face proved the comment was directed more towards Arkana than anyone else.
"Arthurus, at ease" Gilford commanded his soldier to sit back down - as of course he obeyed orders.
"good boy" Arkana thought to himself smirking at both Arthurus, but the honorable warrior did not bother to even look at the magician that reminded him of Saggi the dark clown, a jester and a coward.
Mahad back stepped a few feet and retreated to his throne not before turning to his half-brother and made sure his glare was caught by the slightest glimpse of Arkana's sight.
"I stress that the rest of the spellbinding circle is beginning to crack, we must act fast and accordignly if we are to prevent The Forbbiden One's return" From the the thin shadows of the high thrones spoke the Eradicator Warlock, Ishdar.
"We had wondered how the first seal had been broken, if it were through Dark Magic than it would most certainly be amongst this coven, no one seeks his return so for that theory is close to impossible. I believe that there is something much more than we could believe to be reality... Some sort of power that even challenges the mightiest of us all, something that could even control The Forbidden One himself" Gaia, The Fierce Knight spoke his theory of what could possibly break such an uncanny-divine spell that the Magician's Circle casted all so long ago. Minerva hooked on to Gaia's theory as if they had already rehearsed themselves before the gathering.
"And with such a threat before us, we must begin preperations immediately... I have a suggestion" She looked at Gilford for approval and it was granted with a simple nod "If we whatever we are to face is our greatest threat, I believe we must bring back -"
Mahad glared at the very next few words Minerva presented to the Magicians.
"The Dragon of Legend, The Blue Eyes White Dragon"
A silence once again broke across the great hall....

Chapter 1:
When Heroes are born!
The City was ignited into flames, all sorts of citizens scattered the streets, the E - Emergency Call was sent out, so where were the Heroes?!
A Light stood illuminating over the skyscrapers of the night, a Large H was the distress call for the Hero Signal - a shadow had ejected right beyond it responding to the call, it was Avian, the leader of the Elemental Heroes flew across the chaotic scene. "Bubbleman! We need to save the hospital, first! Clayman, Burstrinatrix, fight to contain the fires from spreading! Sparkman, get everyone out of harms way!" Avian gave his orders through an earpiece which provided clear hearing to the other heroes. He had just saved an ojama trio from a collapsing building and turned to look around the ruined city... "Wroughtweiler! Call reinforcements! We need everyone and anyone who is available!" Right before another explosion nearby the E-Heroes a mechanical dog barked as it thrusted off avoiding any collision with the destruction on the ground.
OOC: From this point on, go ahead and choose whichever monster you want to roleplay as, It can be as many of them as you want... the options are all opened to you. The only thing I ask you to bare with is not to use an all powerful monster that's off the charts (as of yet). I want to start it off at this point and keep our imagination open.
And for those of you who want to roleplay with E-Heroes go for it, any other than Avian which I'm using right now.

"Begone Knave" shouted the warrior as he swung his sword toward the fiend skull dragon while avoiding the large bursts from the large dragon's deadly breath. Zane, the Warrior Dai Grepher hit the dragon but it was enough to stop the dragon from almost tearing him a new one. As the large dragon was about to breath more of his deadly fire breath Zane jumped in between a building in the city to avoid it. Zane was perhaps hitting the forth or fifth bad mood for the day in the fact that the dragon had indeed had caused the city fire.
"Why can't these dragons ever be small, a petit dragon perhaps" he said as he got out the way as the dragon's fire blasted apart the rubble he had been hiding behind. Zane hated the job of Dragon slayer as he had been so kindly handed from the order of slayers, led by the Buster Blader. Fiend Skull Dragon slowly emerged from behind him and then again got ready to blast him. "Ohhh no you don't" said Zane as he shot a beam of light from his hand that encircled the dragon. Mumbling a spell that was inaudible to anyone except him. The beam vanished from the dragon and he was a lot more tame than before.
"Good dragon, now vanish from my sight and don't darken this city again" said Zane as he put his sword back down to his side. Siend Skull Dragon slowly flew into the air and began to fly toward the mountain in the distance. As it slowly vanished into the distance Zane breathed a sigh of relief in himself. Though the work was far from done. "I wonder how those blasted heroes are doing" said Zane as he began running toward the city fire. The heroes had been charged with getting rid of it and he had been charged with getting rid of the problem.
"They will be fine" said a voice from somewhere close by to him. "Indeed, I hope they don't mess this up, them and their mutt" said Zane to the voice. Zane ran over a bit of falling building as he headed toward the centre of the chaos.
OOC: My guy is a Warrior Dai Grepher named Zane, who as you guessed is a Dragon Slayer from a special order, the master being Buster Blader but my guy has magic thats not normal for a warrior to tame dragons which is basically against the order's policy as they are Dragon "Slayers". Basically his magic will be explained in due time but I have a good story for him coming soon if thats OK.
My hats off to you Tally for coming up with something that a lot of people like.

Pushing past the throng of small monsters gathered in the street, the reptile monster Gagagigo was struggling to go against the tide of monsters, all currently fleeing from what seemed to be the centre of the chaos in the city. The smoke trailing through the street and the large emblem in the sky gave him enough of a good idea as to what the chaos was about. After throwing a Hane-Hane out of his path, he broke out of the large group and after throwing a disdainful look back at the group behind him; he began running back to the sound of the commotion. He hadn't been moving for ten seconds before a large, black mechanical dog nearly tripped him up - the machine swerving to the side and running past him before he even knew what was happening. Despite the near miss, the reptile still stumbled from bracing for impact and slowed down considerably as he regained balance. He recognised the dog as Wroughtweiler, the 'pet' of the Elemental Heroes and currently the new source of his anger due to the disruption it had caused him. Leaving the dog to continue its work - whatever that was, he turned back to his goal and began moving forwards, using his nose as much as his eyes - the acrid smell of smoke being his guide.
Getting so close to the epicentre of the chaos that he could see some of the light from the flames dancing on the walls - he once again came into contact with another group of monsters, larger this time but still fleeing from the fires. Due to the increased bulk of this group, he could find no gap through which to squeeze through and, although he tried; he couldn't force a path through them. He only gived up when, after being pushed back by a Swamp Battleguard, he banged into the back of what seemed to be its counterpart and once again hit the floor. A few of the monsters accidentally stepped on him in their rush to escape the danger and he rose after they had left in a seething mood. He had came this close and he was pleased at that fact, but he was no hero - he had not come to the scene to help; rather so as to not be a part of those that had ran away. But now, having been this close and felt the heat, he turned on his heel and walked back the way he had came, finally following the path of the others.
When he reached a far enough distance that the air was more cooler, yet still was rife with smoke, he stepped into a closed street and sat down at the wall. He doubted the fleeing monsters would run for long, probably hem down like he had, a little more further from the trouble perhaps. Sniffing loudly at the smoke, he stood, waiting for the heroes to solve the crisis and the city to descend back into calm. As it was now, there was nothing else he could do but run and hide, or wait and hide.

Thraso, the Amazonian Trainee, was running by her master's side. Her master was Clete, the Amazoness Paladin. They had recently entered the city on their way to take a message to the Dark Magician from the Amazoness Sage. The duo did not know the contents only that the delivery was pertinent. There was fire all around and they were running to help but quickly came in contact with the Heros. Thraso looked at the creatures in fascination, these were no the jungle monsters she was used to.
"Watch them Trainee, they work as a unit and that is what makes the Hero's so effective. They will have this crisis settled in moments then we shall move on," Clete said calmly. Thraso couldn't understand how she could be so calm and not cough with all of the smoke everywhere and monsters fighting to get out of the way but she took her cue and steadied her stance. She would make her master proud.

The white stone of legend must be revived...
It had been several hours since the meeting came to a halt in great hall of the Magicial Library. The result had ended into an argument between members of the Magician's Circle and the Imperial Order. Arkana who seemed pleased with the dispute was the first to dissapear after the meeting was adjourned.
Mahad and Arthurus walked down the village who were accompanied by Kairi, The Dark Magician Girl.
"Did you really think the Circle was going to take the idea into consideration?" Mahad and Arthurus had always been great friends the only barrier that kept them from becoming they're own team was the fact they were both loyal to their kins.
"Gilford knew the Dark Sage was going to be against it, but Gaia and Minerva insisted -"
"That's because Gilford fought alongside Orphelius during the Dark Revelation! You know if the legend of the blue eyes white dragon is true - " Kairi jumped into the conversation, she was a Dark magician who still had much to learn, many believe she would of still been within the apprentice ranks if it weren't for the influence of her grandfather.
"Then?" Arthurus had caught interest of what the young Dark Magician had to say.
"Then -" Kairi was cut off by Mahad who came swift with his words.
"Then I believe your warriors are after more than preventing the Forbidden One's return"
"What do you mean?" Arthurus stopped and stared at Mahad with such suspicioun.
"Lets face it Arthurus, the tension that lies between the Spellcasters and Warriors goes back for thousands of years, and ever since the the alliance between Gilford and the Dark Sage was formed there have been talks of rumors having to do with overthrowing Gilford and taking down the Spellcasters at their most vulnerable state..."
"I highly doubt that being the case, Mahad -" Arthurus was quickly cut off when Mahad bended forward in agony and his ears started to ring serving such craze to his head.
"What's wrong?" Both Arthurus and Kairi tried to aid the Dark Magician but at the same time the Marauding Captain came running at the three.
"Sir!"
"What's going on?" Arthurus glanced first at Mahad then at his Marauding Captain
"The Elemental heroes have called out for reinforcements, there has been an attack in the city of Skyscrapers... the entire area is ignited in flames! There's a Slayer on the scene we believe this was Dragon attack"
Aside from his position in the Imperial Order, Buster Blader headed many other teams such as his Order of the Slayers, and The A. Forces.
"Open a Monster Gate, I'm heading over" Arthurs turned to Mahad before departing to the Burning City. "I'll see you during the next gathering - "
"I'm going with you" Dark Magician stood back straight took a deep breath and followed Arthurus "Kairi, advise the Breaker and the others that I won't be back until morning - I am departing aswell - "
"Can I go?"
"NO"
"...."
Dark Magician turned back to Arthurus who seemed suprised, Mahad never went down to any major fields without a good reason.
"I think I can investigate a fire on my own"
"There was Dark Magic used in the midst of that attack..."
Kairi was walking away dissapointed before she stopped to look back after hearing what her brother had just said.
Arthurus didn't say another word, his expression said it all, there was much more about to unveil.
---
Thanks to the Elemental Heroes the city's fires were slowly dying off in several areas but the center where the largest Skyscrapers resided, the flames continued to rise. Avian and the Elemental Heroes had called for reinforcements and wroughtweiler had brought back the only other available E-Hero, Wildheart. following his trail were the young but brave Landstars, and the daring yet inexperienced Hero Kid, who tagged along as a sidekick every now and then.
"Set it up over here!" Shouted the Brigadier of Landstar as they brought along a rescueroid filled with gallons of water. "Alright! Blow the hose!"
Comrade Swordsman of Landstar cranked up the wheel and the water blasted out. It supported tremendously Bubbleman's Bubble Blaster along with his Bubble Shuffle.
"Clay Charge!" clayman rammed through a few blazing buildings to prevent the flames from spreading further.
Sparkman used his Sparkblaster to suck out the electricity from the nearby generators aswell to prevent anymore disaster.
Burstrinatrix and her burst return made very close calls for herself and Avian as they went tackling through the fire in order to save trapped monsters, Avian's casted one last feathershot to blow the smoke out of his flight path and took off into the air. When he reached the high ends of the city he circled the air before landing on a secured rooftop, the flames had been contained so that wasn't what caught his attention; On the opposite end of the long-wide street Warrior Dei Grepher was going down towards the center of the madness a Monster Gate emerged, the first being to come through was Buster Blader, the next is threw him offguard, The Dark Magician...
Arthurus and Mahad had arrived moments after the flames began to give out to the Heroes and Landstars, a good job indeed.
"Looks to me they've caused more destruction than the fire itself" Mahad commented not being very impressed by the performance to stop the disaster.
"Be nice. There are more of your fans here than there of mine" Arthurus cleared his throat and looked around for one of his warriors or atleast a familiar ally.
Howling Wolf - August 7, 2011 12:28 AM (GMT)
Zane continued running toward the middle of the city, determined to make sure that he could help out where he could. The heroes had settled the fire in some parts of the area but some other much taller parts were much bigger and much fiercer. It would take more than him to do it as he did not know any water magic as he was now. "Great, a hero and I am useless" he said as he unsheathed his sword and slashed a large bit of rubble that would have crushed him.
Zane began running again back to where the heroes were. "Come on Bubbleman, Avian get your asses in gear before I turn you into a children's trading card" he said as he tried to imagine a world where he and most other monsters were nothing but cards to be collected and traded by children. It would never happen. "I sense something close by to us, stay close" said the voice to Zane as he slowed down a little to look around. He could not see anything but his mind said "Over there a bit, they are hiding" and with that Zane began to walk over to where Amazoness Paladin and Amazoness Trainee.
"Who are you, show yourself" he demanded as he raised his sword.

With the level of noise being generated from the disruption, the Gagagigo could guess that the heroes were in full battle with the flames. Not only that but he had caught sight of that robotic mutt of theirs charging past with a garrison of misfits and more heroes. Not being too impressed with what seemed to be their cities defense against the fire, the lizard stepped out of the alleyway and waited until the Wroughtweiler and its followers turned the corner before deciding on his own direction. Grudgingly accepting that from the sounds being generated by the heroes efforts that the city would perhaps have some more damage done to it than just the effects of the fire, he decided it would be better to help out - only to quicken the pace that life would return to normal in the city and these 'heroes' would get themselves out of sight. Following in the direction of the Wroughtweiler, he broke into a light run, wanting to get to the fire in ample time but not cross into the path of the canine and its followers - lest he did something to be regretted for the robot tripping him up earlier.
Turning a corner, he stopped as something in the sky drew his attention, a large portal opening up in the sky momentarily took the fire out of his mind. Watching the rift in the sky, he was wondering what would use such a thing to enter the city, perhaps it was a sizeable force to further help the heroes, or capitalise on the cities condition. Or maybe it was just someone wanting a flashy entrance, rather than walking into the area. Two figures dropping out of the portal further heightening his confusion and wonder - not being able to discern who the two were, the Gagagigo took a step towards the flames before he tore his attention away from the sky and back on his destination. He knew the two monsters coming out of the portal would cause him endless curiousity later on - but he first had to make sure the heroes were done with their business and would high-tail it out of sight. Now keeping his eyes determiningly off of the sky and on the ground, he set back into his running pace before heading towards the largest buildings in the city. Evidently, that was where the fire had been most prominent and, from the still-lingering smell of smoke, was the only fire yet to be held back.
Kiara Lycro - August 7, 2011 01:49 PM (GMT)
Thraso and Clete watched carefully as the hero's worked. There would be minimal loss and it seemed the hardly had to say a word in order to maintain the rescue effort. Thraso was impressed with their skills but didn't say a word to Clete, there was one common opinion among Amazonians and that was that women trumped men, that most of these heroes were men was a bit irksome to her and it showed on her face.
Clete tried to keep the grin off of her face at her students conundrum. It was a peace that all traveling Amazonians had to make. It had taken her at least a year living in the outside world to accept that men could be competent, but she had and had become a stronger and more versatile warrior for it. She was about to quiz her student on the heroes' methods when they were called out by a Warrior Dai Gerpher. Her student stiffened but Clete saw no reason to fight and came easily into the open.
"Why so upset at anyone's presence in this crowded city of your's warrior?" the Amazon Paladin asked, her sword left by her side, ready if needed. The Amazon Trainee looked troubled and watched the pair. "We are traveling Amazon's on our way to deliver a message. Did you think us warmongers to light your precious city afire?" Clete asked, every bit compossed as her student was trying to be.
Howling Wolf - August 9, 2011 09:13 PM (GMT)
Zane seeing that the thing that had made his senses go off had revealled theirselves. It was two Amazonesses, as Zane guessed, a Paladin and a Trainee. The two of them clearly did not belong to the city judging by their clothing attire. They seemed to belong more in the forest or jungle somewhere else. He simply stared at them for a few seconds before coming to his attention and sheathing his sword to his side again. "Excuse me, I thought you may have been some form of demon" he said, "Or dragon" he said to himself as well as them. He found it strange that they were here.
"I don't want to alarm you but it is probably best that the two of you leave because it is certainly not safe here anymore with this fire spreading out of control. The heroes are the only ones who can put it out" he said as he was about to leave to see what he might be able to do as most of the city had been evacuated. Zane looked up shocked to see that there was someone emerging from a monster port from a little up in the sky. He looked to see the Dark Magician and thought to himself Great and when he seen his master, the Buster Blader he began to panic. What if he knew that the dragon had been let go. He had to make sure he did not find out.
OOC: I Know I skipped but it was merely to answer Renae and to actually aknowlege the Dark Magician and Buster Blader.
