Alia, Layer, and Pallette all stood inside Hunters H.Q. as they continued their research. Things had been relatively quiet since the fall of Lumine. And Signas was determined to keep it that way. However a blaring siren began to go off. for a moment the navigators thought it was danger, however they soon realized that it was actually a distress signal.

Khalek was looking over the newly acquired information that he had been able to obtain from the laboratory that he had been discovered in. He had been searching the area for a while now, trying to find any information about himself, whom he was, whom created him and more importantly why he had been created. For a while now, he hadn't found much, just blue prints and journals regarding the process of his creation. However on his last trip to the laboratory, he found some information regarding what was known as "Mutos Reploids." Upon finding the information, Khalek was quite excited, he was hoping it would lead to a break through, even if it was just a small one. At the moment he was in the process of translating the term "mutos." It hadn't been an easy process, he had gone over several languages attempting to find some information regarding the word "mutos" though he had no luck. Khalek was beginning to think that the term "mutos" might be a deliberate misspelling and now as in the process of trying to figure out what it could possible be. He had written down several variations, and thought he had figured out what it was, when all of a sudden siren went off. Khalek closed his eyes, irritated, he set the tablet computer down and proceed to the door and exited his quarters. He ran down the hallway, on his way to Commander Signas' office. When he arrived at the Commadner's office, he saw that there were already three Reploids there. Khalek froze in his tracks, as he recognized the the three Reploids. It was X, Zero and Axl, they were known among other Reploids including himself, they were famous for stopping numerous Maverick outbreaks, including those that were caused by the infamous Sigma. To find himself in the presents of such esteemed Reploids caused nervousness within Khalek. Taking several deep breaths Khalek slowly made his way to in to Commander Signas office and stood beside Axl.

"Khalek reporting in sire"

The three turned to see Khalek walk in. It was quite unusual, "We can handle this. You can leave" Zero said to Khalek sternly and Signas smiled, "Calm down Zero. This is actually a good opportunity for you three to start teaching some of the younger talent. The cal is a simple distress call. It's coming off a remote island out at see. It's big but doesn't seem to be active with any mavericks. Take Khalek with you and show him the routine" he said as the three navigators continued their work, "I'll send your four alone. hopefully they'll be no need to contact HQ as we continue our scans. However if there is you know what to do." He said looking at the three, "Now get going. We don't have time to waste."

Zero's statement to Khalek, made Khalek lose confidence himself. Unable to face Commander Signas as well as the famous Reploid trio, Khalek turned his head to the side and closed his eyes. However Khalek's confidence was restored when Commander Signas' commented about the trio showing Khalek the routine.

For Khalek he couldn't believe what it was he was hearing, it was almost unbelievable for him. He was going to be mentored by the three most famous Maverick Hunters. He could hardly contain his excitement. If he could get away with it in the Commander Signas office he would be bouncing off the walls, screaming in joy. Though he reminded himself that it wouldn't be professional in front of the X, Zero, Axl and Commander Signas and he would most likely be reprimanded by Commander Signas himself. So Khalek contained his excitement, though it was quite difficult.

"I'll send your four alone. hopefully they'll be no need to contact HQ as we continue our scans. However if there is you know what to do. "Now get going. We don't have time to waste."

"Yes sir" said X and Axl

Khalek looked at them for a moment, he saw Axl's eyes shift towards him. Khalek withheld a small gasp and saluted "Y..Y...Yes Sire" Khalek heard a small chuckle come from Axl, and Khalek turned his head to the side. Then he heard the sound of foot steps, he turned and saw the trio leaving, Commander Signas office. Khalek scampered and caught up to them then proceeded to fall in line behind the trio, behind Axl. The feeling of excitement didn't wane, he was very excited to be mentored by the famous trio. However he was also scared, he was scared of messing up in their presences. He hoped that he didn't screw this opportunity up

As X and Zero made there way towards the teleporters Axl turned around to address Khalek, "Relax." He said playing with his guns, "If you don't you'll become a stiff like those two" he said motioning his head towards X and Zero. As the group entered the teleported and arrived at the island the trio looked around. X looked around and noticed that something wasn't right, "If this was a distress call, where is the distress." He said looking around, "You're right. Either there was Mavericks running around and we would see destruction or if someone needed rescuing they would be out in the open." he said as something just didn't seem right. Axl pointed towards a large building in the middle of the island, "I figure we might start there" he said.

Khalek stepped out on to the island and looked around. It was a relatively quiet and peaceful area, it was a place that Khalek would like instantly and would be willing to escape to if he hadn't been on a mission. As Khalek followed the others, he watched their movement and listened to their conversation. It appeared that the trio was worried, they agreed that something wasn't right about what was going on, apparently from his perspective, this was more than just a distress signal, but what else could be going on they didn't know. Khalek raked his brain, trying to figure out what else it could be. Perhaps it was a distress signal, but the reploid that need rescuing was further in on the island. Perhaps the distress signal was coupled with another aspect, perhaps the reploid had sent the distress signal in order to get help on retrieving something else. They seemed reasonable, but he was certain that the X, Zero and Axl had already considered the possibilities. Another thought entered Khalek's mind, one that was terrifying, what is the distress signal was a trap? A trap that was set to lure reploids in? As Khalek thought that, he asked himself, if it was indeed a trap, whom set it and why? Khalek shook his head, not it couldn't be possible. It was to outrageous and he was certain that if he proposed the idea to the others, they would most likely laugh at him. He shifted his attention back to reality, he saw that the trio was making their way towards a structure in the distance. He let out a small gasp and ran towards them. He wondered what this structure held, as they approached the structure, Khalek asked in a rather quiet voice:

"Do we have plan? I mean are we going to look for multiple ways in or are we going to take the front door?"

Zero turned to Khalek and huffed, "You over think things kid. We always use the front door unless something blocks our path" he said as the trio got closer they paused looking to see if any mavericks were around, but nothing, "This is...weird" Axl said. As X agreed, "Yes. Let's just get inside and see what we can find." he said as he land the group into the building. The front door was wide open and no resistance was in sight. As they entered into the bowels of the building they came across a command center. X entered first then waved the others in.

Khalek sighed and lowered his head but otherwise remained silent. At this point he was thinking it was in his best interest to just stay quiet and keep his opinion to himself. He reminded himself that he was in the presences of the best Maverick Hunters, so it was a fair bet that they knew what it was they were doing as well as a possibility of what was going on. With that he drew his duel pistols and followed the group, when they arrived at the front door, he saw that it was wide open, almost like it was inviting. Khalek felt very uneasy about this, his mind drifted back to his previous thought that he had about this being a trap. Only this time the idea didn't seem that outrageous now. However he keep this thoughts to himself and watched X enter the structure. After a moment, X waved the others in, Khalek entered behind Zero and Axl. He looked around at the Commander Center, and wondered what the Commander Center, controlled. He looked at the computers, his mind drifted back and forth towards two different thoughts, the first being what it was this structure commanded, and the second being the location of the distress signal. He walked over towards a computer and reached his hand out, he withdrew it quickly, he looked back over towards the trio, they appeared to be talking amongst themselves. He reached his hands out again and started typing away, he decided first to find the location of the distress signal. If there was indeed a reploid in trouble, it would be in their best interest to find them and help them, they could return later and study the structure and the function that it served.

As Khalek type three doors leading in all locked down. The room went pitch black before the giant monitor in the front of the room activated, "I've been waiting for you." the voice said as a bright light came on and the black figure stood on the monitor, "My name is Xiot. I have bought you here for a reason. To enact the final plan on my master and the doctor....Before today is through...none of you will leave here alive.....however....My masters have respect for your abilities..so he has told me to give you all a fighting chance. Which is why I set up this base for you....all the information you need is in this computer....come get me." Xiot said before the monitor went blank and the doors unlocked and the light came back on.

As Khalek typed away trying to home in on the distress signal, all of the sudden the room went dark. His eyes widen and he looked around wildly, if he had a human heart, it would have been pounding in his chest. He thought that he had caused the black out in the structure by accessing some hidden program on the computer that he had been working on. The monitor in the room lit up, and the face of a reploid appeared on the screen. He had never screen this reploid before and the appearance of the X, Zero and Axl, seems to have confirmed that they hadn't seen the reploid before either. The reploid talked about enacting a plan, for the "Master" and the "Doctor." Khalek didn't know what the reploid was talking about, but when it mentioned the computer and the information that it had stored on it, Khalek's mind reeled with thoughts. After the monitor screen went black and the lights came back on Khalek forwent asking X, Zero and Axl any questions regarding the theories that they had, he immediately went to the computer and started typing away, looking for any information regarding the "Master", "Doctor" and "Plan"

He couldn't find any regarding the master or the doctor, though Khalek wasn't surprised by this. He didn't expect that whomever planned this would leave such important information laying around on a computer, though he figured it wouldn't hurt to look. He decided he would look up the plan. He typed in a search phrase in to the computer and it brought up something rather strange.

"What the...?" he muttered.

What appeared on the screen was a screen shot of four areas. Khalek had never seen the areas before and thus was completely baffled as to what they would have to do with what Xiot had referred to as "the plan." The areas read: Area 1: The Space Aeroport, Area 2: The Underground Mining Facility, Area 3: The Technology Lab and Area 4: The Top of Mount Yggdrasil. Khalek figured that perhaps the mystery could be resolved by visiting them and he turned to the group and said quietly:

"I..um..I have found something"

Zero walked over and slightly shoved Khalek out of the way. Hey typed quickly as he delved into the database finding basic maps of the area. Information on communication frequencies and everything, "This seems weird. According to this We can only head to certain places at certain times. The teleporters worked in that way. Zero gave the frequencies to everyone and looked back at the team before deciding what to do, "Alright. X. Me and You are going to head out to the Tech Labs. You and Khalek stay here. This place shouldn't be the most dangerous since if he keeps his word is the only safespot." he said as he and X exited the room straight into the teleporters.

Axl shrugged and looked back at Khalek, "Don't take it personally. It gets like this." he said as he sat down and spun his pistols.

Zero and X prepared to leave and input the coordinates. But as the two stood there an error message appeared, "Biological scan states incorrect reploid in teleporter. Model 000 Axl required." it stated as X and Zero looked at each other entering back into the room.

By this point Khalek was getting slightly irritated with the way Zero was treating him, for the moment though he kept his own personal feelings and comments to himself and proceeded to continue watch and listen. He was slightly surprised by the fact that the group could only go to certain areas at certain times of the day. He could only figured that it had to do with the plan that the reploid Xiot had mentioned. With that he was certainly not surprised by the fact that Zero had elected X to go with to investigate the area. He figured it would always be like this, and he was likely not to see any action.

So much for actually mentoring me... he thought to himself.
"Don't take it personally. It gets like this."

Khalek chuckled at the statement, though he couldn't hide his disappointment with the decision that had been made and replied quietly "No worries there, I am actually surprised he even remembered my name."

With that he watched as X and Zero proceeded towards the transporters and entered them, however instead of leaving, they returned to the room. Khalek knew that something was wrong, he looked at the computer screen and noticed an error message it read:

"Biological scan states incorrect reploid in teleporter. Model 000 Axl required."

At this moment Khalek was completely confused, though renewed hope surged though him, as he thought that he might actually see action. He quickly suppressed that hope as he reminded himself that, this trap was likely created for X, Zero and Axl. Whomever created this trap hadn't excepted Khalek to even be on the mission. With that he turned to Axl and said:

"Well it looks like you are going to go play"

As Zero and X walked out X turned towards Axl, "Looks like you're up." he said sitting down by the monitors, "Get going Axl, we need this to be fast." Zero said as X worked away, "And take Khalek with you." X said as Zero turned to him suddenly, "X. That isn't a good idea." he said as X turned to him, "Zero, we can't risk Axl going alone. Khalek is going with him. Besides Signas wanted us to show him the ropes. As much as I hate a trial by fire, we don't have much of a choice." he said as Zero closed his eyes and huffed in his usually way, "Fine. Get going." he said.

An overwhelming amount of emotions surged though Khalek as he listened to the ensuing conversation between Zero and X. They were actually considering sending him, Khalek the rookie reploid on a mission with Axl. It was unbelievable, his first mission, he was actually going to see action. Khalek quickly suppressed his thoughts, for a moment as he remembered the error message on the screen. If the transporters, could actually read reploid DNA, then that meant that it could read his DNA, there stood a chance that the transporter could actually reject him on the same premise. Either way the only way this could be solved, was by actually entering the transporter. Khalek walked his way towards the transporter and stepped in to the transporter, he looked around, waiting for an error message to come up.

Nothing came.

"Um...uh...apparently I am not being reject...yet" he said.

"Not surprising. You probably wasn't factored into this all." Zero said in his usually aggressive voice, "Yes. The machine probably was decided to weed out our Biological data, not yours." X said as Axl check over everything and got his pistols ready to go, "Alright. I'll keep in touch if anything happens.' Axl said as Zero and X nodded. He made his way towards the teleporter and got prepped to leave, "Get ready." He said to Khalek a bit more serious as the machine revved up.

Khalek silently cursed himself for overlooking the logic that Zero and X had presented. Why hadn't he thought of that before, given the fact that he had thought of the other side of the coin. Regardless though, he was still quite excited, he was finally going on his first mission, and to make it better his first mission was with one of the most famous Maverick Hunters in existence, Axl.

"Get ready."

Khalek drew his duel pistols, and gripped them tightly and said "I am ready." As soon as he said that, he saw nothing but white. As soon as he regained his vision he saw that the scene had change. they were now in a technological laboratory. He looked around, unsure of how to proceeded, by this point he felted completely like a rookie and he hated it. He closed his eyes and asked the pressing question on his mind.

"Um...where exactly do we proceed to?"

"To the center of the complex. We are receiving some strange readings" Zero told them through their built in ear pieces, "Yes. It seems quite powerful as well. And I dare say familiar. Also, be quite careful. apparently the main project of the labs dealt with illusionary devices and weaponary. So everything you see may not be what it is. The simplest of enemies may be stronger then ever with this tech. move out." X said as the intercoms shut off. Axl nodded sternly and quickly dashed out through the front door and into the inner confines of the building. He took a quick look around at the decorating. Everything seemed high tech, but also looked like some sort of castle, "Odd." he said as he turned to Khalek, "Be on your toes. Although I love a good fight, I have some experience. Especially with these." he said twirling his guns and smiling at Khalek.

Khalek lowered his head for a moment reflecting on what Zero had said. They were to proceeded towards the center of the lab, that alone didn't sound to bad by itself. However when it was mentioned that the strange readings that were emitting from the lab were familiar, this disturbed Khalek. Though they mentioned it was familiar, they didn't exactly elaborate why it was so familiar. Before Khalek even got the chance to ask, the intercoms had been shut off. It was times like these he wished he could give other reploids a piece of his mind (though he doubt it would do any good). The sounds of dashing brought Khalek out his line of thought, he watched as Axl dashed through the front door. Khalek bit his lower lip and thought to himself.

Well here I am, it is now or never.

With that he dashed towards the front door, there he saw Axl looking around.

"Odd. "Be on your toes. Although I love a good fight, I have some experience. Especially with these."

Seeing Axl's duel pistols, made Khalek look down at his, he took several deep breaths and gripped them tighter. He looked back at Axl and nodded showing that he understood his fellow partner.

Axl continued dashing forward and ran into some enemies. He quickly dispatched them as they were minor nuisances. He continued at this right, jumping over some obstance, but before long he dashed forward and feel right through the ground. He quickly activated his hover and caught the side wall and jumped back up. He then however quickly rolled back as on the otherside stood a mechanical wolf who was breathing fire there way. Axl caught his breath as he shot through the illusion of the ground, "Guess that would be a hazard." he said looking back towards the wolf.

Khalek dashed behind Axl, though taking a slight different route as they proceed though the Technological Laboratory. As he proceeded through he fought some minor enemies, most of them he was able to defeat, though he missed a few which he vehemently cursed himself for. He continue to follow Axl, jumping over the various obstacles that stood in their way, until eventually he saw the mechanical wolf. Khalek froze at first when he saw it, he had never seen a mechaniloid quite like this before. His fear intensified as he saw Axl fall through the ground, though it was replaced with confusion as he watched Axl deploy his hover pack and climb back up. Then he remembered the mission briefing, this area was known for it illusions. All of a sudden the mechaniloid wolf attacked the two reploids, Khalek followed Axl and dove out of the way of the attack.

"Guess that would be a hazard."
"..."

Khalek didn't replied to the statement, he felt no need to do so, as any statement he would make would be completely useless. He looked back up towards the mechaniloid wolf, and in the back of his mind wondered whether their would be more like them.

Axl looked at the wolf for a moment and hesitated, "Why....does this feel familiar?" he asked as he then changed his pistols into his handy laser gun. Ever since he got it, it always was useful. He shot straight through the fire and destroy the wolf no problem. He switched back to his pistol and looked around again, "I feel like...I've been here before." Axl said as he turned towards Khalek, "Next time don't lose focus. Those pistols are made for getting rid of things like that." he said as he jumped over the gap and looked around. He knew that they would have to figure out a way to see this illusions.

Khalek sighed and proceeded to curse himself silent. He couldn't believe that he froze on the spot. He swore to himself that he would never do such a thing, that he would be a reliable partner on a mission, however instead of being a reliable partner he did exactly what he swore he wouldn't do, he froze. He closed his eyes and gripped his pistols tightly trying desperately to get in to the mind set of a Maverick Hunter instead of some lousy rookie reploid whom didn't know what he was doing. Finally when he thought he had achieved it he opened his eyes and loosened his grip on his pistols and proceeded to follow Axl, his mind drifted again. Axl mentioned that this place felt so familiar, though he couldn't explain why. Khalek had a similar feeling when he went to the laboratory where he had been found in stasis. He didn't remember anything prior to be awaken by the Maverick Hunters but he felt a feeling of familiarity every time he visited the laboratory. He decided there was no harm in sharing his thoughts with Axl and thus said:

"Perhaps you have been here before but don't remember it. When I visited the very laboratory where I built I don't remember anything prior to being awaken but I get a sense of familiarity."

"No...I can swear I have been here. This isn't like yours." he said turning towards Khalek, "I remember." he said not holding a grasp. He shook it off and said, "Let's nevermind that. we have work to do." he said wink as he dashed forward and defeated some more weak enemies and obstacles. Finally they got to the point where two automatic doors were. Axl shot at both of them and both were quite real, "Ok....this is odd." he said as he looked at Khalek, "What do you think."

For Khalek he was felt with a feeling of awkwardness, the conversation didn't quite go the way he had hoped it would. He watched as Axl dashed ahead, for a moment he choose to remain behind, he closed his eyes, thinking on what had been said. Axl swore that he remembered this place, that he had been here before. However it seemed to Khalek that he didn't remember or he just remembered fragments. Khalek wondered whether or not Axl had been designed and built here, it could be certainly possible. For a moment Khalek wondered whether or not to ask the question of Axl, but decided against doing so. His last bout of theorizing had lead him nowhere and theorizing now would just lead him back to square one, so what was the point? With that Khalek proceeded to follow and catch up to Axl.

Along the way Khalek manage to defeat several minor enemies before finally catching up. When he arrived he found Axl examining two doors. They appeared to be ordinary doors, though in a location such as where they were at, Khalek assumed that they were not ordinary in the least.

"Ok....this is odd. What do you think.

Khalek replied "Well beyond the obvious they are doors leading to two separate locations. There are not any identifiable markers on the doors that could help in the decision process and I didn't notice any identifiable markers on the way so we the only decision that I can make is to go by probability. We have a fifty percent chance at choosing the correct one, so..."

Khalek trailed off observing the doors, he looked at both thinking about which one to choose, finally he placed his hand on the right door and said: "Let's take this route." He opened the door and proceeded in to the room, he looked around and it was empty. He narrowed his eyes, the place set him on edge, though he didn't know why.

"Okay...am I the only one feeling suspicious about this?"

Axl stepped in the door behind them locked. He looked around for a moment before the ceiling opened up and dropped in a giant axe weilding mechanoid, "I have a feeling this thing isn't here to help." he said as he saw it activate. He quickly pulled out his pistol and jumped up the other wall and began shooting towards it. Nothing happened at first, "I was hoping this thing didn't need a specific weakness." he said as he cycled through his weapons. He thought to himself that something was different about this one. It didn't seem like the others. It was pretty basic. As if a protector.

Khalek was incline to agree with Axl on his assessment of the giant axe wielding mechanoid which had suddenly appeared the moment the two reploids entered the room. Khalek took an opposite route of Axl, he dashed to the other side of the room and began to climb the wall, and with one his pistols drawn he fired four shots at the mechaniod's head.

"If it has a specific weakness, I am not going to be of much help in that department" said Khalek "My pistols are just standard, no upgrades of any sorts"

"Not what I meant" Axl said as he saw the shots fired at the head. Nothing, "Darn." he said as he rolled out of the way of a giant axe swing. He then aimed for the chest was the core looked to be, but nothing. He was knocked back by a backswing and hit the wall near Khalek, "Man, this thing knows how to hit ya, and hard." he said rubbing his head as suddenly he got an idea, "Listen shot at his hands. I have a feeling that may be it." he exclaimed as he tried to draw the executioners attention.

Khalek was a little confused when Axl informed him that wasn't what he meant, in regards to specific weaknesses. Khalek didn't quite understand, from what he had studied from old reports most mechanoids and Mavericks have a specific weakness to a special type of attack or element, so it made sense that the same principles would apply to his mechanolid. He moved to the side as Axl was knocked back by the attacking mechanolid. He landed next to Khalek, from what he saw his partner was a little dazed but relatively unharmed.

"Man, this thing knows how to hit ya, and hard."

Khalek didn't make any response, he just looked up at the mechanolid. He tried to figure out what type of weakness it would have. However as he looked at it, he couldn't come to any confirmed conclusion.

"Listen shot at his hands. I have a feeling that may be it."

If Khalek could have face palmed himself on the job it would have done it, how could he forgotten a fundamental principle. Not all mechanolids or reploids had an elemental weakness, some had structural weaknesses. He looked back at the mechanoloid and finally it made sense. If they managed to disable the hands, then the mechanoloid wouldn't be able to swing it axe and attack. Khalek nodded and dashed forward a bit and then swung around and leap dashed up the wall. As he slid down he fired off six shots, three bullets aimed at the mechanolid's right hand and another three aimed at the mechanolid's left hand.

The giant executioner dropped back momentarily as he dropped his giant axe. Axl took the opportunity to switch to his G-Launcher and blasted a grenade right at the monster. He flew back slightly as he obviously show'e signs of taking damage. Axl smiled as he looked back at Khalek, "Rise, Lather, Repeat" he said as he kept his g-launcher out and took to the walls.

Khalek watched as the bullets he fired actually impacted the giant mechanolid. He had expected the bullets to either ricochet off or cause minimal damage to the mechanolid. Instead the mechanolid actually dropped it axe, giving Axl an opportunity to launch an attack of his own. Khalek watched as Axl made some changes to his gun and launched a gernade at the mechanolid. The attacked forced the mechanolid back, though it was a minor headway, for Khalek, any headway was good.

"Rise, Lather, Repeat"

Khalek dashed forward and swung around again and jump dashed up the wall, as he slid down the wall, he aimed on his pistols at the mechanolid and fired. This time he rapid fired ten shots. Five bullets flew towards the left hand while the other five flew towards the right hand.

Axl fired away at it once again is it dropped it's axe. The duo continued doing this until finally the executioner was destroyed. It never changed attack patterns, which was a strong indication it was an old one. The more advanced one made for this type of fighting have battle data installed. As the machine was destroyed Axl surveyed the wreckage. nothing very useful. Suddenly he heard something as the ground began to shake. He turned around to see an armor capsule appear. He had rarely seen this, as usually they involved X and his creator dr. light. However to see one out here was strange. He close to it, and nothing. He stepped in, and nothing. It seemed quite odd to even him.

A wave of relief surged through Khalek when the giant mechanolid was finally defeated and collapsed. Landing on the ground Khalek watched as Axl surveyed the the remains, as Axl surveyed the remains Khalek wondered why Axl was doing so, he wondered what it was that the veteran was searching for. All of a sudden a rumble from the ground caught Khalek's attention, at first he thought it was another Maverick coming to attack them but, that notion was quickly dismissed as he saw it was a capsule, to be more precise it was an armor capsule. Khalek recognized the design from the reports he read, they were associated with the Hunter X. X wasn't here, so why was a capsule revealing itself this location? Khalek watched as Axl entered the capsule, but it never activated, as Axl walked out, Khalek continued to stare at it, a strange feeling began to wash over him, he couldn't describe it, all he knew that he should step in to the capsule. With out warning, his feet began to move towards the capsule, before he knew it, he was in the capsule, and without warning it lit up in response to his presences.

What the... he thought to himself. Why did it respond to me?

a direct beam shot into Khalek's head as an image suddenly appeared to him, "I'll be. I never thought i would see you again." A reploid said, designed in the armor of a winged type reploid of some sort, "Khalek. We figured that he'd gotten to you too." he said before even revealing his name, "Do you remember me." he said looking at the young reploid.

The further activation of the capsule took Khalek even further by surprise, before he could make any response towards Axl, an image of a reploid appeared before him. It was unlike any reploid he had seen before, this reploid appeared more sleek and humanoid in design than other reploids.

"I'll be. I never thought I would see you again. Khalek, we figured that he'd gotten to you too. Do you remember me."

The entire statement confused Khalek, he had never seen this reploid before. The only thing that he could surmise from the statement was that perhaps he had known the reploid prior to his sealing. If that was the case then the prolonged hibernation must have effected his memory. He looked at the reploid and replied:

"No I don't remember you, whom are you? What are you referring to when you stated that that "he'd gotten to me?"

"Hopefully that's not important." The reploid said dodging the question, "The important this is your safe. Although I do not look the same, my name is Dr. Iliad. The reason I appear like this is because of the projects we were working on. You see, when we first came to this place, we discovered something quite unique. We discovered data that suggested that some reploids and active drives were merging with the environment, rocks, animals, etc. We took a hold here and did our best to try and create an advanced bio-engineered reploid. We succeed with some prototypes. You were one of them. We also were successful in create a bird type armor to go along with you..." he paused trying his best to avoid what happened, "However things changed. I had to separate the pieces, and even then, I sealed myself in the hard drive that makes it run fully. Which is why I appear like this. The armor itself is coded the Biometal-H. We hoped to create more reploids like X and Zero to try and relieve the world of this mavericks in a faster pace. However we were foolish to think we isolated ourselves enough...However that time will come." he said as he took off the helmet, "Take this. It is the Wing Helmet, with it you will be able to make your gliding easier to control and in time make flight easy as well." he said as he began to dissipate, "Find the rest of the armor, prove us right." he said as he disappeared.

The amount of information contained in the small explanation that Dr. Iliad provided for Khalek was overwhelming. From what he was able to gather certain elements of reploid were being merged with the surrounding environment, and that he was among these reploid, granted he was a prototype. Further, he wasn't the first prototype, there were others like him. (He wondered whether or not he would actually meet these others, and if he did what would they be like.) Further more, like the legend X, there was an armor set that had been designed for him, however it had been broken a part and placed in separate location. He was now in possession of the helmet, he touched the helmet that now resided on his head, it felt like a standard helmet but on the side of his face, there two elongated points, and on the top there were two elongated sides that felt like wings. He lowered his head and muttered to himself:

"Don't worry Dr. Iliad, I will find the rest of the armor, I will prove you and the rest of the scientists right"

He brought his head up to Axl and said "We should get going, we have a mission to finish"

Axl looked at Khalek quite confused, "....what just happened?" he asked while getting his things ready and hearing the door they came in from unlock.

Khalek arched his head to the left when he hard the door unlock, both himself and Axl were now able to leave the room, and proceed onwards with their mission. Bringing his head back up he replied to Axl's question.

"Now isn't the time to address what has happened, as we are in the middle of a mission. I'll explain it when we return to base, this is something that all three of you need to hear."

With that Khalek proceeded towards the door and opened it up, holding it open he motioned for Axl to follow him "Shall we?"

"Whoa" was Axl response as he grabbed his pistols and ran out. He opened up the other doorway and saw that it was a long hallway. He ran down it and dealt with some minor enemies before he came to an end and looked up. A ledge. He jumped up and looked back to see Khalek following him. He took a step and got rid of some annoying bat mechs. He then notices a giant boulder made of scrap parts. He grabbed Khalek and jumped into a ditched as he ducked down. He suddenly realized why this all seemed familiar, "No. It couldn't be." he said as he looked around.

Khalek followed Axl, as he ran his mind drifted over what had been discussed back at the capsule. He was a prototype mutos reploid but he wasn't the only one, there were others. He wonder whom they were and where they were at, perhaps they still in stasis like he had been before he had been found by the Maverick Hunters. That made the most sense, since he hadn't heard anything about repliods being found in stasis. He leaped up to the ledge and helped Axl dispose of some bat mechanolids, and continued onwards and finally came to a stop in front of a boulder that was made of scrap parts. He looked at it slightly amused, he wonder whether this was a technological lab or a scrapyard. All of a sudden he was yanked in to a ditch by Axl.

"No. It couldn't be."

Khalek looked at Axl befuddled by the statement and he said in a rather annoyed tone "Okay...do you care to elaborate please?"
