As already mentioned, this is a corded charger. Photos and descriptions of this item do not mention this (which can be deceiving) ... so be aware that you will have the bulk of a power cord to carry also.

The truth about PSP Lite's battery life
The upcoming PSP Lite will include a smaller battery for the smaller system. The battery that's included with the system will run for about 5 hours while gaming. However, if you have the battery from your original PSP, you'll be able to get 8-10 hours. The problem with this solution? The battery will bulge out of the system. Sony will offer a new backplate for those interested in adding the old battery to the new system. Does that make things clearer?
my current battery is only 1200 mAh. should i buy a better battery like 2200 mAh or 2400 mAh to increase battery life? Also, my AC adaptor says 2000 mAh, does it mean that the charger only supplies 2000 mAh and not more? if i get 2200 mAh or 2400 mAh it'll be filled to only 2000 mAh? Hope someone can help me. im thinking if i should get a new batt. ANSWER Best Answer - Chosen by Voters 1. The only battery that will yield you more play time than the original 1200 mAh battery is the original, "fat" Sony 1800 mAh or 2200 mAh battery. But those don't fit the PSP slim without a replacement battery cover, and Sony hasn't marketed those yet (they should, soon). Chinese 2200 or 2400 mAh usually have the same capacity as the original battery (i.e. 1200 mAh) or sometimes even a bit less - the declared capacity is fake / you get what you pay for  2. Your AC adapter says 2000 mA, not mAh! That means it can output 2 amperes of current - meaning that number has nothing to do with the capacity of the battery (but it does have something to do with the speed at which it charges the battery). 3. Don't buy a new battery yet. Wait for the official Sony extended battery pack + cover. Or try looking around the web for a third party cover and an original "fat" battery. -------------------- |
