Suspense/Horror
Horror maestro Stuart Gordon works his magic once again in DOLLS, a clever horror film that combines chills, frights, and laughs in ample doses. The plot revolves around one little girl (Carrie Lorraine) who is trapped in an old mansion with her nasty parents. The mansion is owned by an old toymaker who has a vast collection of dolls he crafted over the years. The dolls look harmless enough, but nothing could be further from the truth. As the night passes, terrible things begin to happen, and it soon becomes clear that the dolls are responsible. Filled with plenty of great special effects, good acting, and clever writing, DOLLS is an effective exercise in horror. Like its sister film PUPPET MASTER, DOLLS manages to make cute, seemingly inanimate dolls menacing and scary. Lorraine is wonderul as the nice little girl with the evil stepmother and weak father who has her own fantasies about dolls enacting their revenge on bad people. Once again Gordon creates a fun tale with his exacting blend of horror and laughs.

Dolls is easily my favorite horror movie of all time. I've watched tons of horror movies, but none comes close to the originality and cleverness of this film. I've seen it numerous times, and it never grows old. It really is a classic.

THis was a scary movie when I was little. I used to think my Barbie and Jem dolls would turn me into a doll. Now I think its funny. I have this video. I should watch it now. I reccommend it

Clever and Fun

One of my favorite movies growing up was "Dolls". And not to say that this is a kid's movie. From the directive genius behind "Puppet Master" comes "Dolls" another great horror film about toys come to life. As the tag line says: They walk, they talk, they kill.

The overall script is quite pleasing to me, the dialogue making sense and the portrayals (I especially enjoyed the portrayals of the punk rocker girls) were well done. The visuals of the Dolls were quite good, considering, and made the movie all the more plausible. This is a very fun horror movie to watch, and is among my favorites, such as the Puppet Master series.

Watch it

One of the classics, they just don't make scary movies like this anymore. One of my favorites growing up. It is hard to find, but it you do it is worth the money. It's definatly isn't a movie for kids these days, but if you havn't seen it you should.

A Fun Scary Classic Film

This is the best doll movie since Puppet Master, and Child's Play. A great horror movie with fun and scary moments , I really recommend this movie.
