Hmm, well I don't hold much to it actually. Many think that there will be more paranormal activity at this time, but I've found it can happen at any time of day or night. Though I have to admit that negative activity happens much more often at night, and many times when I'm involved in a negative case it is 3 AM when they decide to shake my bed to wake me up. But I really don't hold much to it in the paranormal field. If you're looking for ghosts or spirits, you can find them at any time, even in the middle of the day! Hope I helped a bit!

I work 3rd shift in a hospital, and nothing much of a paranormal nature happens around that time. Unfortunately, on the weekends, that is when the drunk driving accidents start to come in. sad.gif

Most of my encounters have happened during the daytime.

It is said that is the darkest time of night.

It is also thought that more people die at that time. Partially because it tends to be when most people are in the deepest sleep cycle and the heart rate is the lowest.

I briefly looked and didn't see any studies that support the theories. Good luck with your research.

The 3am hour is believed, by some, to be the most active demonically. It is thought that Christ died on the cross at approx 3pm. The legend goes that the demonic awaken at 3am in jest of that time (there is a better word... it is early and im brain dead lol).

This is a great point. more people do die in their sleep from 3am to 7am. we go through sleep cycles and every 90 to 120 minutes. The third REM cycle apnea can become worse and more criticle. So bad in fact some of the patients will go into a fatal heart rythm from the decrease of Oxygen brought on by increased apnea.
So from the myth is found a bit of truth.

I have heared this theory also. It is said that Satan uses certin things to mock the ways of God. He has his own followers, his own bible, and yes it is said that Christ died at 3pm and so to mock the time of His death demons are said to stir more at 3am. Also it is believed that Satan and his minions try to do the exact oppisite of what God has done thus desicrating the holiness of Christians believe including many holidays. Though there is no actual studies to prove this it is known to certin communities

I have heard that before also, but I don't hold much stock in it. In a past experience, it didn't seem to matter what time of day it was, it was active whenever it wanted to be. I think it's more of when it is most rewarding to them is when they become active.

What texas neuro says is true.

Now from an investigators point of view I have found that around this time...things do spark up. I really dont know why it is but one time on an investigation at around 3.30am and also when everyone else had gone home and only 4 of us fools decided to stay longer things happened.

When I say things i mean 4 of us heard audible ghost voices right with us in the room, scratching on the door, the door knob started to make a noise like someone was trying to open it, all sorts of weird noises from all corners of the small room we were in like, pops and crackles, and just a feeling like we were actually being encroached on.

We left soon after because we did start to feel very uncomfortable.

So...........if someone says is this true or not....I have experienced it to be so.

If someone was to ask me what time might stand out in my investigating history and I would say that time for sure.
