My experience

I have a hard time putting this in type so that people really understand what it was but I'll try.
We bought a home 11 years ago it was a nice house and the people we were buying it from were a nice christian couple who seemed happy and loved it they just needed something bigger. They even told me we would be happy there that the house was full of love.
Shortly after moving in I kept seeing out of the corner of my eye what looked like a old woman but I just put it down to my mind playing tricks with me, then once while talking to the lady next door she asked me if I had seen the ghost yet? I was a little taken back and asked her why is it haunted and she told me the story of how it was built for this lady and she loved it clear up untill she died and the people we bought it off of often said they seen her.
I wasn't to worried about it just accepted it and went on but then things got worse,we started having problems my husband started getting mean he was always mad and angry and we fought all the time.
One night I swear I seen the old lady go into our bedroom while my husband was sleeping and I laughed and told my daughter she just went in to get your dad well he came out a few minutes later with this scratch down his face and arm and he was yelling cause he thought the dog had did it. I didn't know what to think and it kinda scared me.
Then we started seeing this thing it was dark was low to the ground and moved swiftly you would only see a glimpse and we thought maybe it was a rat couldn't really figuire out what it was and our dog {german shepard } suddenly became a terrified mess all the time whimpering and shaking.
This went on for sometime I don't remember how long for you see I lost my brother and my father in a two year period while we lived here and I really wasn't paying attention to time frame but we lived in this home for 4 years all together. Things just got really bad and the house was oppresive very dark and deppresing and no one wanted to be there, then one night I was playing a game with my son 7 yrs old when I seen this thing in the door watching us he said mom what is that and I said you see it too and he said yes. This thing was about 2 ft tall maybe a little taller I really can't say but it was black seemed hairy had these little ears on it's head you could see the whites of it's eyes it was like peeking around the door way at us. I first thought it was my husband playing tricks on us with some kind of puppet or something but zoom it was gone down the hall I tried to find it but couldn't and the two of us were the only ones home no one else was there you see I thought my husband might of snuck in but there was no one. This is about as good as I can remember this because it happened 11 years ago.
We moved shortly after this and everything we had been experincing there was gone My dog was no longer afraid and my husband was back to being the sweet man he always was before moving there and the kids were happy again and so was I for the most part.
I have been told that what I seen was a elemental but I have always felt it was something evil and I never want to experince that again.

I've heard that sometimes, in happy places, something dark will come to try to mess it up. Almost like a balance. You can't have good without evil horning in. It may have snuck in, while the old woman's spirit was getting used to the new vibe put out by your family.

I'm happy for you and your family that it didn't follow you and that things have settled down.

Hmm..another possibility is that since you were grieving your Father and Brother a negative spirit or imp was keeping an eye on you. I don't think an elemental would have scratched your husband.

Often demonic haunts begin when there has been death in the family and there is sadness in the home. They love that they see it as an opportunity to torment someone.

Thats strange that you would think imp because that is what I called it too.
I am just glad that nothing more happened and we moved away because it's strange but as soon as we left and moved on things just seemed brighter and even though I was still grieving the darknesss was gone.
