Title: Wow! Talk about close minded!!

Aneaglesangel - January 24, 2011 07:18 PM (GMT)
This is a letter I received recently. I was so shocked at the vehemence in this short little letter, and also by the fact that without giving me a chance to defend myself, I was blocked from replying. So I'm putting my reply in here, and I'd love to hear the opinions on others about living in this new age that we call the new millenia! I think if I had been allowed to reply to this, I would have shown just where the field is going with people like this. You're ok, you go on with your silly little close minded life, and we'll just keep on keeping on and facing these kind of challenges bravely and with good humor! Hugs guys!

This person's note to me:

Ghosts don't exist - it's bad science - you lack the education to fully do such an endeavor and those who do have it expunged it from every crecible university. Don't worry - wor ona book all you like - as with your delusions and fantasies, and yourself, it's going nowhere. Get help - you need it. And I mean psychiatric.

You are an idiot.

My un-sent response:

LMAO! I love to encounter open minded people! I take a very scientific approach to investigation and one of my team members is an analytical research chemist, along with other highly educated and intelligent people. Bad science is that which closes itself off to possibilities. Think string theory, multi-dimensional universes and maybe you can keep up with us. Many of us are in this to help to bring science forward, not to keep it in the dark ages. Many years ago, they believed the world was flat, and anyone who argued with that was considered crazy. I live on a round planet suspended in space where science and all its possibilities are just waiting to be discovered! As for me, I'll step into the future with my mind and eyes open, and when science catches up to us, we'll be considered pioneers! Enjoy your flat earth, hon! Take care and I hope you find some other, closed minded people to enjoy your very small, limited, life with! :)

I love how people try shooting me down too. Sadly what they don't understand, While in highschool I took college level corses in:

Electrical engineering and it's sub divisions, Power, Control, Electronics, Microelectronics, Signal processing, Telecommunications, Instrumentation and Computers

Mechatronics
chemistry (self taught)
pyrotechnics (self taught)
metellurgy (wich is required to make swords for those in the dark ages)
Black smithing (self taught)
Metal fabrication (only thing I didn't learn was the proper use of a lathe)

If this field isn't scientific, they should have no trouble understanding the below.

Get the dynomite we're blowing open this closed mind

the camera trap thread

I always issue this challenge to any person who thinks this field isn't real, buy a digital recorder. I started out with a 20 dollar RCA from radioshack. Leave it recording in your house for a day when no one is there. Clean the audio up using wave pad, it's free. amped 400% run through a high pass of 200 for a general light cleaning, and amped again 400% Bit easier to hear that way. Plug in some headphones and see what ya get. You hear any voices, I guess it's real congrats on your first evp....Now explain why someone in your home when no one should be there is talking while in your house that is locked up and no one broke in to it.

People like this are not only close-minded, they are also quite resentful and very easily intimidated (as well and downright paranoid and feeling threatened), which is obviously the reason you were instantly blocked before you could reply. This person is also obviously avoiding any sort of debate.

LOL! You got that right! That's the thing that gets me Gren, so many people that I work with are actual scientists (Matt Moniz, Gabby Lawson, to name a couple) and have a very solid background in the science fields. Now a few years ago, the paranormal field was the laughingstock of the science world, but now, it's moving forward. We have more popularity now than we ever have. I guess I got used to being admired and not so used to being attacked anymore. Back in the day, people would actually laugh at me if I told them I research the paranormal.

Yeah, I thought it was funny that I wasn't even able to send anything back. But ya know, I've learned that this sort of reaction usually comes from those who are afraid to admit that there's more to this world than meets the eye. But it's OK, we'll all just keep on going with this, and when we finally prove that the paranormal exists, people like him are going to have a hard time with it. But then again, we'll all be here to suppor their lame butts won't we!? Hugs guys, thanks for the support!

I actually feel sorry for people like this. What they don't understand or fear, they ridicule. Being close minded limits the experiences they can have in their lifetime. And to me, that's just really sad.

The paranormal is not just about what Hollywood portrays. It's not all demons and spirits coming back from "beyond" to wreck havoc in our lives. There are some good experiences as well. Experiences that can literally transform your life. And people like that will never get to have those experiences. :(

lol I still get laughed at, but thats fine by me. When their in walmart and see a robot for the paranormal, I'm going to get the last laugh.

Great answer Aneaglesangel! Very cowardly of them to "hit and run." But, that exposes their (lack of) character doesn't it?! Seems we have a few major categories of people when it comes to belief (or not) in this field. Those who:

1)Don't Believe in God, Angels, Satan, Demons, or Ghosts (materialists)
2)Believe in God thru Demons, but not Ghosts (as former humans - that they can contact us or interact with us)
3)Believe in God and Angels but not Satan, Demons, or Ghosts (they don't believe in an ontologically personal evil being or beings; refuse to believe ghosts can interact)
4)Believe in all of them

By "believe" I mean that they exist - are real, intelligent, interactive and possess ontological personhood.

Using John Wesley's epistemological model (his "wesleyan quadrilateral") of reason (intellect), experience(history), tradition (teaching of the church) and scripture - I must say I fall in the last category. ;)

In my life, I've met many people. Some of them believe, some of them don't. But even the ones who don't believe are open to my experiences. Well, most of them. Just because I've never been to Africa, or walked upon its lands, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. There is also a new planet that was discovered. I've never been there either, but I believe it exists. We can not see the air, but we breathe it. For some, I think belief may be in seeing and experiencing these things firsthand. I can only hope that when I do finally finish my book, that I will make believers out of more people. Of course, I'll probably get harrassed by more of this type of people. But the way I see it is that if even one person can get help because of my words, then I've done my job.

It's hard to live in a world with no possibilities, and for me, I can't imagine it. I'll stick with being open minded and keep on learning as much as I can. I also tell you this, if I were to find some reasonable explanation for what has happened to me, well, I'd be the first to open up and tell the world. I've been searching for a reasonable explanation my whole life. All I've been able to come up with are paranormal explanations. So I'm rolling with that!

Hugs guys! Nice to see that the world isn't flat for everyone!!

Hehehe, I've had that done to me on a few forums, when I didn't agree with the views. It's sad when closed minded people don't want to learn. Your response was lovely Aneaglesangel, and I'm sorry the flat planet person didn't have the courage to listen to it.

Aneaglesangel - February 2, 2011 02:55 PM (GMT)
Hugs Isa! I like that "the flat earth people" I'm going to remember that one! Thanks for the support! One of these days, I think the earth might just become round for everyone! Once we prove the paranormal, no one can argue anymore, and I'm working hard on that end!

Wow grendal.. You make me seem dumber and dumber with every post. LOL! All I learned in high school is that you get sick from eating paste and get a bloody nose from inserting crayons up there!

As far as what that moron said to you Angel, no worries. He is obviously not worth your time or breath. To block somebody from replying to a post after you say something that you most certainly know will get a response is childish if nothing else. That's like plugging your ears and going... "Nah Nah Nah, not listening" and then drool all over yourself

grendal - February 5, 2011 07:06 AM (GMT)
your not dumb, just haven't studied. Electronics and enginering its all a calling like demonology and the paranormal.

coolcalmNcollected - February 6, 2011 04:10 AM (GMT)
Well even if I studied, I would never learn more then the basics. I have attention deficit disorder. It's hard to keep my focus on anything long enough to understand it

Aneaglesangel - February 6, 2011 03:24 PM (GMT)
Like most learning disabilities, it can be conquered with work. Both my sons have ADHD and the oldest does really well now. He has a job made for a person with that type of disability, he's a mason. So he gets to create things made out of rocks and bricks and he loves it. Sometimes taking a different approach to learning can help. Sometimes medication is the only answer, but either way, it's worth looking into! Hugs!

grendal - February 6, 2011 05:03 PM (GMT)
I have add as well. The key I found was learn a little bit then apply it. If you learned the difference between series and parallel circuits, make some series and parallel circuits.

Could do something a bit easy like making your own flashlight, or something hard like making a k2 or a circuit that uses both series and parallel.

Another thing I did was my own electrolysis cleaner. When I started I had my own cleaning area, rusted or dirty chunks of metal like a very rusted ww2 .50 bmg round I found while metal detecting....rusted nails....rusty coins...etc etc one point I had 20 of them going.

 world must be getting flatter....last 2 days I've awoken to the magazine awake! (jehovah magazine for living in this day and age) wich had an article titled "the truth about the occult" On the inside newspaper letters glued inside saying we will pray for you, and a small letter of glued letters telling me I need to stop going down the path of demons and to forgo my occultic ways or I will suffer in damnation and that they fear I'll send demons after them and that I'm bringing demons in amongst the community...

 basically the article said that I was communing with the dead and my occult powers are derrived through demons. Just one teeny tiny problem...I have as much occult powers as a dried up sharpie.
