Sorry SCL, wasn't sure whether or not you wanted a response to your thread. Figured it was a rhetorical statement and didn't need a reply. I don't find myself ready that much or buying books for my nieces and nephews anymore or I am sure I would be so inclined to agree.

Con my 8 yr old loves the books!!! He has dyslexia (two forms) and a short term memory issue, so getting him to read was difficult. But he loves these books and also enjoys going to the website. He also has the Skippito stuffed toy. Just the fact that he is now reading them on his own is enough for me to consider purchasing an illustration for his room.

I read it out loud and try as many diiferent latin accents as I can come up with.

Yeah, I try different voices also, but Con says that mom's voice just doesn't work too well for a male voice. But hey, once he gets tired of it, then he starts reading, so it's a win!!!! He just won a new book from school about Charles Lindburgh and his historic flight to Paris, he loves it. We were at Applebee's tonight and he pointed out a picture of Charles Lindburgh they had up on the wall.

NowhereGirl, that is such wonderful news!! I've actually been perfecting my Aussie accent, although I may never have reason to use it. :)

Keith well an Aussie accent would be unique!!! My Irish is of course perfect!!! Con believes everyone should speak like a knight, and once he figures out how knights speak, he wants to make it a law, along with everyone must wear a cape. Yeah, he wants to be President some day and make those laws.
