Face Claim: Heavily edited images of Gul Dukat; Procal is his spitting image aside from eyes.
Appearance:
Procal has been said to be the spitting image of his father Skrain Dukat when he was younger. Slender, especially for a Cardassian, he is not overall imposing and is of average height. While not muscular, he is physically fit, and is neither thin nor fat. His skin is the pasty gray of Cardassians, and though gentle by nature, his expression sometimes looks rather intimidating. He wears the typical uniform of Cardassian military personnel: the triangular chest-piece, the padded armour, and the jumpsuit. A commcuff adorns his wrist, and a disruptor sheath hangs from his waist.
Personality:
Procal is a rather sociable Cardassian. If you approach him, he'll likely talk to you. He does not like living in his father's shadow, or depending on his father. He hopes to make his own reputation in servitude to Cardassia - a task harder said than done. For he has read of how Cardassia brought down the Bajorans. And he has witnessed what his people have done to them. He has had his fair share of killings, as well - on the surface, he was forced to kill a Bajoran that was attacking his closest friend - but has only attacked when attacked. He is a gentle, and amiable person, but can be a soldier when he needs to.
His family means everything to him. He would do most anything for the sake of them. This does not extend to his grandfather. He was a criminal, and Procal believes that he was rightfully imprisoned. He serves Cardassia dutifully, and does what is necessary. He isn't afraid to use underhanded tactics, but is more straightforward himself, and blunt. He speaks his mind, usually, but can sugar-coat or beat around the bush when necessary. He does not discriminate against non-Cardassians, but will stand up to someone when necessary - or kill when necessary. He is not quick to trust. He remains suspicious of anyone and everyone -
especially his own people.
History:
Procal was born on Cardassian Prime, in the city of Lakat. He was the oldest son of Skrain Dukat, but not the first; years ago, Skrain had had a son, but he had died of illness. Ever since, Dukat and Athra had daughters, and were happy to finally have a son. Dukat had him named Procal, after his father. As he grew up, Dukat had him raised to be a strong Cardassian, and was expected to enter into the military service as he came of age. He attended a prestigious military academy in the capital, after graduation entering into service to Cardassia.
He served on the Galor-class ship
Danim for several years, before being transferred to Terok Nor, at the request of Gul Dukat. There, the Cardassian tried to make himself oblivious to what was going on on Bajor. Here, it was easier for him, and he continued to loyally serve Cardassia.
On Terok Nor, he saw a very beautiful Bajoran,
Emil Lonam. She looked frail and weak, and her beauty meant it was almost certain a Cardassian would take advantage of her. Rather than let them do that, he took her as his comfort woman, given permission from his father to do so. She expected that he would bed her, but he never did; he intended to someday court a Cardassian woman and was saving his virginity for her. She would keep him company in his quarters, and sometimes would cook food for him, thus giving him an appreciation of foods. Though they never had sex, she would at times insist upon orally pleasing him when he was stressed; and it helped to relax the young Cardassian soldier.
He worked in Operations; it was his duty to direct incoming and outgoing ships. He was among those Cardassians who wiped files on Terok Nor as Central Command was withdrawing; it was his way of saying, "so long," to the station. He left Lonam with a farewell, declining her request to come with him to Cardassia. He left Terok Nor, hoping never to return. The images of the tormented Bajorans would always be burned into his memory and would plague his dreams. He never anticipated that, after his father pulled certain strings, that he would be back in this damned place.
