While still a work in progress, this is my fan game. It's partly based on the anime, partly on the games. IE, there's a Net City and a WWW curry shop, but it's called Gospel, not Grave, and uses game history regarding people like Colonel.

It's just an engine demo, so there's only one map room, and no bosses.

Controls are in the help file enclosed, but...
X - confirm, talk, use chip.
Z - run, cancel, shoot.
D or C - open custom screen.
Enter - Pause menu.
- on the keypad - Restart.
A, S, D, F, Q, W, E and R take you to fights with different terrains.

Only Bass, Serchman, Megaman, Zero and Protoman are playable characters in the battle engine. Players marked unplayable cannot be used at all.

EXTRACT ALL FILES BEFORE RUNNING, OTHERWISE MANY FUNCTIONS WILL NOT WORK!!!

Just be aware, I'm still available to help Dark Protoman, but his system will end up rather different to mine.

About the controls...can't you just use GBA emulator controls? That's what I'm gonna use for my game. It's kinda hard to play with your controls.

Ah, funny thing, those are the emulator controls I use. What do you use?

I'm working on control selection to resolve the problem though.

Tell you what.
Download Battle Network GM6.zip
That's the full GM6 file for the most recent version. Includes every sprite, sound, background, object and room. It's password protected though. I'll send it to you via PM. I got everything panned out. It's just a matter of making chips, and you probably won't want some of mine.

Thanks, man. You rock! :)

The emulator controls I use are: (left column is on a GBA, and right column is on an emulator)

Start = Enter

Select = Shift

Z = A

X = B

A = L

S = R

I think that's it.

You guys forget that VBA controls can be edited at will. Destroyer already said that the controls he uses are the ones he put in for this project. My friend and I both play VBA on this computer and we both prefer different controls.

If possible (I doubt it), could you include a way to change the controls, Destroyer?

Already got it working for the most part. :Destroyer:

But Rather than completely allowing the player to change controls, I was thinking using pre-defined sets. Like, this would be the Colonel set, the one Dark Protoman Posted would be the Protoman set, and so on.

Not meaning to double post, but I posted a newer demo replacing the old one. Includes control setting as well.

Okay, cool. I might download it.

You can double post if it's something important like this.

As I've said. It's an engine demo, and has limited gameplay. Once I finish what I'm currently working on, I'll have time to get around to making AI for the bosses.

There is no way to 'win' yet. You just play it, see what I have, and tell me what needs to be done.

That's, going to take a while. But I will alert everyone when the online system is ready. (Just a bit more to go.)

Yeah I would think finishing a game like BN would take a while. :/

Thanks Destroyer.

I downloaded the demo, Destroyer, and I found some glitches.

The first one is, when you use area steal, and a mett is in the way, and you aren't in it's firing range, the mett stops doing anything, which makes all the other metts stop doing anything, also. It should be able to fire even if Megaman isn't there.

The second one is, after you win a battle, you can still use your chips for a while. :)

Another thing, (I think) is when the battle is finished, I think the custom bar is supposed to go away or something.

Oh, and when you fire your buster, you should make it so that you just have to press the firing button, no release it. It feels kind of sticky.

Also, try to make the moving in battle a little faster.

Yeah, that's it. Good job on those controls. It still says, "press D or C", though. :)

Why did you put a Capcom thing before the game starts? o.o

How did you fight? WTF? I couldn't even edit my folders.

Fighting always errors for me, but not for you? I thought it was supposed to. :/

You are supposed to extract all the external files. My guess is, the error you are getting says:
"Error defining an external function."

I put the Capcom logo in, because
A I could
B It's their characters.

Buster should be release. I'll go play BN5 a little and see what they did.
