I'll be asking a series of qestions about emerald (hate to say but i'm a noob in pokemon and i'm just playing cause i'm dead bored).

1) In psypokes, it said that to evolve goldbat and togepi i need to give it happiness. What the hell does that mean?

Eevees/Espeon = trainer + friendship = perversion. Sorry.

Anyway:

"happiness" is friendship evolution. To evolve something via friendship, I advise the following.

- Get ahold of a Soothe Bell (if you can) and give it to the pokemon to hold. If you can't get a Soothe Bell, give it something else to hold.
- Use stat-raising items on it unless you're going to EV train it (and even if you are, but meh).
- Keep it in your party at all times. Let it fight if you dare, but don't let it faint, get poisoned, paralyzed, etc. - it must be kept in pristine condition at all times for its happiness to be guaranteed.
- Don't put it in the Day Care or the PC. Just keep it with you.

Check its friendship level often (there's a girl somewhere who will tell you - you'l have to find her because I'm lazy, but I think she's in Verdanturf). When it gets to something about being the happiest ever etc, save and level it up. It should evolve.

No. I think you have to battle with it a lot, and don't let it faint, or something. Like a Chansey evolution, I think. (it evolves into the ugliest thing...)

A Togepi doesn't need happiness. I evolved it in Crystal, easily. I didn't even battle with it. And Golbat doesn't need happiness, either. The only thing I know that needs it is a Chansey.

Both Golbat and Togepi DO evolve by happiness and HAPPINESS ONLY.

And no battling is required except to level it once. I literally evolved a level 1 Eevee into a level 2 Espeon. Twice.

Edit: Yes, Hub, a Rare Candy can trigger happiness evolution.

But if you're Pokemon is already Level 100, you're completely screwed over.

NEXT QUESTION.

...And Kayle is correct about that.

Here's another one that can only be answered by someone who has a hacked version of emerald:

In this hacked version we know that we can evolve pokemons that needed to be traded without trading them. We just need to level them into lvl 45.

Now here's the question. How do we evolve a pokemon that needs to hold an item then trade?

PROBABLY by leveling that pokemon to level 45 while they are holding the item.

One way to make your Pokemon hate you is give them bitter items like healing powder. Another way is to make them faint a lot.

Yup. But herbs cost money, so just kill them.

Or put it in the PC for a year. Or some crazy amount of time. A week should do for a start.

...Ha, that reminds me of this fanfic...

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4118697/1/Monotony

It had a sick, dark sense of humour. I started playing Saph again because of it.

Oh, and that doesn't decrease happiness, Kayle.

Uh, if the PC reminds you of a fanfic... and it has a sick, dark sense of humor...
I can't imagine wanting to read it. ^ ^"

And it doesn't!? That must be from the Yellow age only. Putting Pikachu in the PC doesn't make him like you much. > >

Long story short: An Umbreon is left alone for years in a PC box. Her fellow Pokemon become insane, depressed, and begin killing each other. However, their master returns to play, 'for old time's sake'. She's overjoyed...Until he remembers that if you play to 599:99, the whole game automatically deletes itself. She finally gets to see her master again...before dying. And then he smiles, then says,

"Oh yeah...Forgot about the glitch."

...And yeah, it only works in Yellow.
