the renaissance faire
In lieu of all the bad luck associated with summer carnivals, barnabus and brothers are out of the carnival business and throwing a huge renaissance faire this summer instead. While they've decided it best not to promise anything of "epic proportions," they are promising a fun, interesting event for the entire family to enjoy and Ministry surveillance promises no reason to worry about foul play.

Hogsmeade has gone through a bit of a renovation in past years, along with the old favourites, there's new cafe's, restaurants and shops joining this increasingly popular place.

a very popular pub and well-known inn, this place is a warm and comfortable hang out for wizards and witches. a great spot to drink butterbeer. they also serve firewhisky, gillywater, red currant rum amongst other beverages.

weasleys' wizard wheezes
formerly zonko's joke shop, it was bought a few years ago and became another shop in the weasleys' wizard wheezes chain. a wonderful assortment of joke products as well as the wonderwitch line of products and more. most www products are banned at hogwarts, but students are often very creative in the ways they manage to smuggle them in.

just around the corner from diagon alley lies a dark, twisting alleyway. most children are not allowed in, and with good reason; not only are the wares sold there a bit dodgy, but the wizards hanging around behave fairly suspiciously as well.

the headquarters of the ministry of magic. the visitor's entrance is a run-down red telephone box. wizards and witches can also get into the ministry by apparating or through the floo network.

st. mungo's
the only wizarding hospital in britain, st. mungo's is located in a seemingly abandoned department store in london. the hospital's healers treat all kinds of magic-related illnesses and injuries. just talk to the dummy in the window and step right through into the reception area.
on june 10, 2025, st. mungo's was bombed, thus causing damage to the east wing of the hospital. it is now under heavy construction.
