Most of you probably already know this, but the sequal to Final Fantasy VII is to be released in Japan this Summer with a United States release not long after. Only weird thing is, its not a video game. Thats right. The sequal is going to be a movie or a "high-end CG visual project" according to Square Enix. This time the story takes place 2 years after the end of FFVII, when some weird infectious disease spreads through the population. I don't know how Cloud can stop a disease, unless he becomes a doctor or something, which I doubt. Oh, also, there is this rumor flying about that along with the Final Fantasy: Advent Children dvd, there will be a release of FFVII for PS2 along with the package. Any Comments or Questions, be sure to ask.

There has been no kind of confirmation about it's release in the US. I mean, you'd figure they'd be stupid not to, because of the large fanbase, but at the same time, you go around and someone says something about it everyone's like "meh, big deal". I'm glad they are doing a FF movie that's more FF than Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, but they're getting a little sequal happy.
They're doing some fairly "unthinkable" things with it too. *Spoiler warning!!!* Aeris was killed in FF7, and they're saying that she's being sort of brought back to life in this "movie" which is sort of blasphemous. Like, fans hate when she was killed (some said they cried 0_o ) but now it's like "Leave her be!" *end Spoiler* What I was saying before about it being more like FF in story. When I think Final Fantasy, I think of a kind of a sort of medieval environment, with a few sort of innovations here and there (lately that has been guns and such as that) but there was a motorcycle in the trailer. It would have been more FF7 like to at least be riding a chocobo. I told you I rambled on, but you didn't believe me eh? -------------------- "I'm so cool you could keep a side of meat in me for a month! I'm so hip I have trouble seeing over my pelvis!"

Really? hmm. That mag that told me must have not been accuarate. It said the U.S. release was confirmed. Oh well, like you said it'd just be stupid to not release it here. Only weird thing is, I was happy when Aeris was killed, I never liked her. At all. I dunno, sure riding a chocobo is commonly seen as the FF way, but there has been use of modern stuff in the games, like the motorcycle and that snowboard crap in FF7.
