Here is the general FAQ for The Break Room, and this also applies to the rest of the forum, and some forums do have their own FAQ's with some EXTRA rules, so these still apply. These were taken and edited from the MTC forums FAQ.

QUOTE
1) Read the Break Room Forum FAQ before asking questions.

2) Do NOT spam. Do NOT flame. The links to Moderators are on the bottom left. Message them if there is a problem. Posting "Will a mod please lock this thread!" does nothing to bring the thread to our attention. Try and give threads a point. Meaningless random jibberish will be locked.

3) Do NOT start introductory threads. There's no need to say "I'm new here, I'm a fan of your site!". Just have fun on the forums and post to threads you want to contribute to. So-called Newbie Threads usually result in spam and flames.

4) Yes, this is the internet, but this is our corner of it. Certain uses of language will be frowned upon and, eventually, result in a ban. This includes racial slurs (and YES, "Jap" is a racial slur--ask anyone who lived through WWII) and abusive epithets.

5) Do NOT be elitist or bad to new members of the forums. Again, while this is on the Internet, these forums are not a democracy. Sorry. We will not tolerate ANYONE using any sort of Jeb related status to lord themselves over ANYONE ELSE. This isn't high school. Cyber Jeb is a community of equals, and it will stay that way, or we will take the forums offline once and for all. We will NOT let these forums turn into the same crap we see on so many other forums around the Net.

6) Do NOT pad your post count. We know if you do, and then sometimes your title gets reset and your posts removed. Oops! Padding your post count is SPAMMING the forums.

7) We ask that you keep your images relatively small. As a rule, please do not exceed 125 x 600 pixels and/or 35k for a signature image. This will ensure that the forums load quickly for all users.

8) Please, before you start a new thread, make sure that the topic of your thread is best fitting in the forum you are posting to.

9) For images that you link to, please make sure that they are work safe--meaning that if you were caught browsing the forums at work or school, you won't get in trouble due to its explicit content, at the least. That also goes for your avatar images and signatures. Shall you absolutely have to link to something risque please make a clear warning in your post and use a text link.

10) Please do not create threads to mis(or simply)direct people to your online game site e.g. outwars; put it in your sig if you must, but threads made to do this (only) will be locked (and if you keep doing it you risk getting banned.) This also goes for your own personal websites - put it in your sig and please don't make plug threads. No commercials, auctions, or chain letters either.

11) Please do not revive (reply to) threads that are more than one or 2 weeks old - or on the 3rd page of the forum + - this is known as "necromancy" around here and is rather pointless when the original participants in the thread have either forgotten about it or are simply gone (No join date - really old members). Revived threads will be locked - it's better of to start a new thread if you actually have something to contribute e.g. NOT one-line smartass comments.

11) This is not a file-sharing forum. Please do not post requests or sites for illegally obtained games, software, scans or the sort. Freeware or in general, free stuff is fine. For things that you have to pay for, go buy it.

12) Please don't kill the first page in forums with too many of your threads - 3 or 4 is more than enough.

13) Absolutely no goatsheks or tobgurl links and the sort, you know what I mean. Common sense~

14) If you have personal issues with other users, take it to Private Messaging. Threads made regarding these will be locked.

Actual
FAQ

1) Only Mods or Administrators can make polls. (are there even polls now? err..)

2) Please do not overuse l33t (such threads in complete l33t); it's really hard to read and somewhat annoying. Use in moderation is fine.

3) Blurting out some topic / copying+pasting some news article and saying "Discuss" is not a good way to make them. It helps to give your own opinion first~
