"Don't move."
It took all he had not to rip her throat out when she got all scared again, but he was proud of himself for managing. It hadn't been easy not to bite her, but because he wanted to show her he didn't want to hurt her, he'd challenged himself by doing this, proving both to himself and to Lilah that he had more self control that he thought he'd had.
"You can let us out now."
"Prove it!"
Of course Jeremy would want some sort of proof, it only made sense. "It's true. We're not at odds anymore."
It was pleasing that the vampire could hear Jeremy start moving the furniture, though he was more comfortable cuddling up against Lilah than to look at Jeremy at the door opening, but when his friend spoke, Ryder turned his attention more or less to Jeremy for a little while.
"Well... At least you weren't lying... So I'm just gonna... Wow. A hickey, huh?"
If nothing else, Jeremy seemed surprised for a little while, even less eloquent than usual, which was highly amusing. Maybe he hadn't thought they'd be able to make up at all. Of course, his adorable redhead had to blush, but she was cute as a button when she did that, so he grinned slightly at his friend.
"Red, I don't think I've ever seen you with a hickey. Ever. I'm gonna go get something to help out your leg, Lilah. I'll be back. Don't do anything I wouldn't do."
Once Jeremy left the room, Lilah had his undivided attention again and caressed her cheek with his free hand. "I'm sorry for being such an ass," he whispered and kissed her again before he just enjoyed cuddling, watching Jeremy bandage and brace Lilah's leg.
"So..." he began, not quite sure how to proceed. This is awkard... "I...erm... Thank you?" he really didn't know what to say, because this wasn't something he dealt with every day obviously.
