Serena was violently tossed aside after Tharin had decided to almost choke her to death. Sure it had been a bad idea to go at him, but he said he was going to hurt her only friend and she still was somewhat loyal to the girl for being there when no one else was.
He wasn't intimidated when the werewolf stepped closer, he did have the stick after all, and he could always fly away. There was no way in hell he was going to submit, No way he was going to let this monster take his girl as long as he was still alive. Well, technically, he'd never really been alive. So he wouldn't let the wolf get Zoe as long as he excisted and wanted her himself.
"Make you choice."
"You've given me no choices I can accept, so how about neither option presented," he replied defiant. Then of course, Zoe had to arrive. He could smell her and he wasn't too happy that she was getting dragged into this all. But of course she had to take care of the female wolf. So they really were friends. Hadn't been easy for him to tell, what with the female being marked and defended by the monster in front of him.
He saw the wolf move, saw him get behind Zoe and was unable to stop it. It too ka lot to piss him off, but the werewolf just had. Who was he to wrap his arms around Zoe in such a way and talk to her like an old lover? Fuck him. He was going down.
"Now.. I suggest you drop to your knees and surrender. Or your little girl dies, slow and in pain."
He snarled. And when Tharin dragged his claws across her torso, Anthony snarled even louder. No. It wasn't supposed to end like this. He wasn't going to let Zoe get killed because he refused to surrender, but before he could even seriously consider surrendering, Zoe had injured the wolf and gotten herself free to hide behind the vampire himself.
"And what was your next move?" he asked with a slight grin, feeling more confident again now that Zoe was temporarely safe. Wow. What was this? No, now was not the time to question why he was fighting for Zoe.
Anthony still held the splintered wood and he intended to use it. "Again, you present no options that are endurable." Zoe smelled so good, and her blood was distracting... Not to mention how she was barely dressed and her bloody wounds so overly exposed... No. Focus Anthony. With renewed vigor, he ran at the wolf, driving the splinter to his gut. It wasn't for himself he was fighting after all it seemed, it was for Zoe. And for Zoe, he couldn't lose.

Tharin gave a grunt as he felt the splintered wood drive into his gut. Painful, yes, but survivable. He also had the advantage of the Vampire being slightly distracted by Zoe's, if not his own as well, blood. His biggest mistake was getting close to Tharin again. A quick jab, not a powerful one though, struck the Vampire in the head. This caused the splintered wood to fall from Tharin's stomach, and gave Tharin a small window to grab the Vampire once again. Tharin spun behind the Vampire, hooking his arms under his shoulders, then locking them behind his neck.
A swift leg sweep knocked the Vampire's legs out from under him. Tharin had remembered the injury he had given the Vampire earlier. He had felt the rib crack under his fist. Now, as Tharin kicked the Vampire's legs out from under him, Tharin directed both of the body weight down, directly onto the Vampire's already injured chest. They both fell, the Vampire hitting the ground first, followed quickly by Tharin, whose arms were still locked, driving the Vampire further into the ground.
"If you move, if you even may a noise," Tharin growled, "I'll crush every bone you have." As if to prove his point, Tharin quickly hopped to his feet, placing a foot onto the Vampire's back, and pressing him down onto the asphalt.
"Now, say you're sorry... Say it!" Tharin growled again, putting more pressure onto the Vampire's back and chest.

He'd hit his mark, but he must've been more distracted than he thought by Zoe's blood, because he was struck over the head, dropping the wood al together. And what the fuck, he was grabbed again and knocked to the ground, by having his legs swept out from under him.
Focus, damn it.
Fuck. That hurt. Not only was he being driven further into the ground, but they'd done so very nicely on his already painful chest. He snarled. This wasn't going to end well, he knew that now, but he couldn't, wouldn't, let Zoe be hurt by this monster. He had promised her that, more or less, or given her hope of it anyway.
"If you move, if you even may a noise, I'll crush every bone you have."
And before he could try to fight off the wolf, he was being stepped on. He would hunt this wolf down and kill him later. With something as vile as a fucking gun. Surely the monster wouldn't survive a gunshot to the head.
"Now, say you're sorry... Say it!"
Only person he would say he was sorry to was Zoe, but then again, the wolf never specified who he had to say he was sorry to. Of course, he couldn't outright say he aimed it at Zoe, because surely that wouldn't sit too well with his would-be murderer.
He looked at Zoe, catching her eye, "I'm sorry," and since he really was sorry he couldn't defend her better it was a sincere apology. He would win the next fight, and he would kill the other wolf if gvien a chance. Fuck, what had he done to the wolf anyway? He wasn't giving up, he was biding his time for when he could strike back. Best way for that would be to not get crushed.

Tharin growled. He knew the apology wasn't directed at him, but he couldn't find in himself to care anymore. He had wasted too much time here, and had forgotten his original reason for coming here.
"Listen to me good, boy. If I ever see you again, I won't be so kind. You better start thanking the girl. If she weren't here, I would tear you open right now."
Tharin growled, mumbling to himself. He gave the Vampire one last kick in the stomach before walking back to where he had dropped his jacket. He picked it up, shaking any dirt and dust that have been on it off. He slipped it on, and buttoned it up, to cover up the wound in his stomach. It didn't stop the blood, though, and within moments, a large spot of blood had formed on the front.
Tharin looked at Zoe, and nodded. "If it's any consolation, girl, I didn't come here with the intention of taking your life. You can thank that demon for any pain caused to you today." Tharin had indeed changed during his exile. Though he didn't care if he took a life or not, he had begun to shy away from the idea of taking a life without reason for it. In short, he preferred not to take the lives of the innocent anymore.
Tharin turned his head, looking at Serena, his eyes gazing deep into hers. He had a look of anger, of betrayal, of disappointment. Of sadness. His eyes were heavy. He was very disappointed. He had seen so much potential in here, he had wanted to keep her around, but she had outright attacked him, and during a fight. The fight had been dangerous enough, but when she leapt at him, that distraction could have very well been the end of his life.
He simply gazed into her eyes. He opened his mouth to speak, but stopped, and instead, just walked away with a growl.

Which girl was he talking about anyway? He only saw one: Zoe. The other was a fucking bitch and therefore not worthy of being referred to as a girl at all. Selling out her friend like that, bringing someone it was clear that Zoe was afraid of and expected him to protect her from.
Finally. With a last kick received to his stomach and a grunt escaping him, he was free to get back on his feet. He would feel his injuries for real later, right now it was about not losing the fight. He was bloody, and distracted, something that was no a good combination.
Once the wolf had his back turned, he caughed up some blood, and chuckled. This was amusing. He wasn't going to let the wolf just walk away now. Before he could get close enough to the wolf (because his speed was greatly reduced) to do anything, Zoe stopped him and he was led towards somewhere (he was busy smelling her hair and being distracted by both his injuries and hers) and was told to sit down, so he did.
"I'm sorry, Zoe."
Serena shifted and followed Tharin when he left, whimpering, not daring to approach him in her human form yet, because she was way faster on all fours and he was injured badly. But she was clearly trying to convey a message of regret for attacking him.

Zoe had been making her way over to Anthony when he stood and coughed up blood. She winced as he chuckled. She knew he had to be in pain, just like Tharin was in pain. She knew he was because he was moving slowly as he walked away. She felt hurt and betrayed when Serena followed him. Had she... Had she led him here? She forced the thoughts out of her mind (for now) and focused her attention on Anthony.
The vampire was trying to go after Tharin, but Zoe stepped up quickly and grabbed his arm, gently pulling him back. "No, don't. You need to heal." He nodded. She was surprised, but led him off to the neighborhood park and set him down on a bench anyway.
"I'm sorry, Zoe."
She was confused. She always seemed to be confused when Anthony was around, now that she thought about it. But seriously, what could he possibly have to be sorry for? He hadn't hurt her yet today, and she knew he would never be sorry for that. No, he was too sadistic to feel guilty about that. So then what...?
"What could you possibly have to be sorry for? Tharin's a vile lunatic."

It really had been the smarter thing to follow Zoe when she stopped him from going after the werewolf. He knew that, which is why he accepted her suggestion. Neither he nor the wolf were in any conditions to fight right now, but he thought the wolf might be worse off. After all, his worst injuries were a few broken ribs, restricting some of his movement, the werewolf was bleeding. A lot.
"I'm sorry, Zoe."
"What could you possibly have to be sorry for? Tharin's a vile lunatic."
"I had something for you, but Tharin's plaything has it now," he reached up to caress her cheek, winced, and ended up pulling her down to sit next to him. "And he hurt you," he touched her wound as he said this and brought his hand up to his mouth and licked his fingers. Having done that, he lowered her onto her back, but when she wouldn't lie down, he slammed her down, ignoring her fighting as he positioned her and moved himself so that he could take care of her wounds.
Holding her feet down by sitting on them, and holding her arms to her sides, he started licking her wounds, both to get them to stop bleeding and to get himself to heal faster. It was a win/win situation. Surely she must see that though she was fighting.
Still on top of her, he ripped off her dress, smirking as fabric tore before he kissed his way up her stomach and bit down on her right breast, through the little bikini she wore, but he didn't draw blood, least not to feed. Growling slightly, he sucked and nibbled on her throat, before he made a bad turn and winced.
What was he doing? This wasn't what he'd planned, was it?

"I had something for you, but Tharin's plaything has it now," He reached up to touch her, but he winced and ended up pulling her down beside him. She offered no resistance. Then he brushed his fingers against the still-bleeding wounds Tharin had given her, getting blood on his fingertips. "And he hurt you," He licked the blood away, and now when he looked at her, his eyes were kind of hazy.
He tried to push her down on her back, but she fought against him. She knew what he was thinking, what he wanted, she had gone through this so many times before. She didn't want to anymore, and he had told her he wouldn't... Her head suddenly exploded with pain. He had slammed her violently down on the bench. She saw stars when her skull connected with the hard bench. She tried to get back up, but he must have used vampire speed or something, because before she could even try to sit up, he had her pinned down. She tried to lift her arms, but his grip was vice-like. She was going to get more bruises from this, she just knew it.
He was licking at her wounds. For a second she thought he would go lower, which would be bad, but he didn't. He did something worse. He ripped her dress off, yes, tore the fabric off of her body and smirked dangerously. She was too scared to do or say anything. He kissed a trail up her stomach to her right breast, where he bit down. He didn't do it to feed from her, though, just to... She didn't want to think about it. Her skin crawled as he went at her neck, still on top of her. He growled slightly, reminding her of an animal as he sucked and nibbled at the side of her neck. She was trying so hard not to cry...
Suddenly he twisted in a way that must have hurt him, because she heard and felt him wince. She finally found her voice. "Anthony, please..." She begged, "You said you wouldn't..." She prayed to God that he would listen to her and stop. Stop before he really hurt her.

It was clear that what he was doing scared Zoe, but for a little while he couldn't find it in him to either care or stop what he was doing. It seemed like it was luck for Zoe that he was hurt and winced, because it made him stop and think about what he was doing.
"Anthony, please..."
She was begging. He loved it. Whatever doubt he had had about what he was doing disappeared when she begged. If he hadn't been hurt, he might've taken that as an invitation to go ahead, but as it was...
"You said you wouldn't..."
He eased up on his hold on her, but didn't get off of her. Making a quick decision, he moved his hands to the sides of her face (ignoring the hurt, because he hadn't meant to almost rape her, had he?) and kissed her lips gently. When he pulled away, he smiled down at her, friendlier this time. He stroked her cheek and kissed his way down her stomach again, slower this time, and with greater care before he sat up when he reached her wounds again.
"I want you," he said, looking down at her beautiful, but scarred body. "But I don't want to force you." He might force her to do many things, like accept his abuse, but he wasn't sure he'd rape her to get everything he wanted. Half the fun with a new playmate was the challenge of having to work for something.
He lay down on top of her again, his head on her stomach (above where she was hurt) and closed his eyes. His left arm was tracing circles on her thigh as he just rested, deciding it was better to not hurt her too much more now or he might have to go back on his word. "I'm sorry your friend betrayed you," he said, to change the topic, and to try to get her to talk so he could just relax for a little while, because he was comfortable where he was right now. She was so soft... And she still smelled of blood though it seemed the bleeding had stopped now.
"She can't be much of a friend to bring that Tharin here, or she's just really scared of him..." He was talking very quietly, because that was what was most comfortable.

Almost instantly, his hold on her loosened. She went to sit back up, but he was still straddling her. In fact, he put his hands on the sides of her face, but he wasn't being rough anymore. He gave her a chaste kiss on the lips, then sent her a smile that was much less menacing than before. She dared to hope that meant he wouldn't rape her, but it seemed she was wrong as he started kissing his way down her stomach again.
She tried very hard to resign herself to her fate, but she couldn't stop wondering why God didn't intervene, and make him change his mind. She was so tired of hurting all the time... Suddenly, Anthony stopped. "I want you," She squeezed her eyes shut and waited for the inevitable. But it never came. "But I don't want to force you." Zoe let out a breath of relief she didn't know she had been holding and opened her eyes, sending up a silent prayer of thanks to God.
Before she could move to try and sit up for a third time, he was resting his head on her abdomen, slightly above the wounds. He started to trace circles on her bare thigh. She tried to enjoy the sensation, but her heart was still pounding and her head still reeling from what had almost happened to her again. She wished he hadn't destroyed her dress, not that she could have salvaged it after Tharin clawed her, but at least she still had something to (kind of) hide her body. Now she felt so... exposed. Which was really, really weird for her, to feel any kind of discomfort because of a state of undress.
"I'm sorry your friend betrayed you,"
Zoe frowned at the thought, the clear memory of Serena tucking her tail and bowing her head and trailing after Tharin like a chastised slave burning in her mind. She thought they were friends...
She can't be much of a friend to bring that Tharin here, or she's just really scared of him..."
Zoe sighed. "I don't get it. It doesn't make any sense; I was there for her when no one else cared... She said I was her only friend, so then why...?" Carefully, still kind of afraid but mostly over the almost-rape, she laced her fingers in his hair and ran her fingers through it gently, in a kind of soothing rhythm. "I'm sorry you got involved in that mess," she whispered, referring to Tharin hunting her down. She still didn't have a clue as to why he did. And if he was so determined to find her, why did he just leave so suddenly? People didn't make any sense these days...

"But I don't want to force you."
He smiled when she let out her obviously relieved breath. There was no way he was going to rape her now, even if he really, really wanted to fuck her senseless. Firstly, he was hurt, secondly, he wanted her to want this later on as well so then rape just wasn't the way to go. He needed to make sure she knew he didn't want to rape her.
"I'm sorry your friend betrayed you," he enjoyed resting like he was now, it was so comfortable.
"She can't be much of a friend to bring that Tharin here, or she's just really scared of him..."
"I don't get it. It doesn't make any sense; I was there for her when no one else cared... She said I was her only friend, so then why...?"
The vampire smiled when he felt her fingers running through his hair like that; it was nice, and no one had really been so gentle with him as Zoe was. Then again, he knew no one else that would've trusted him somewhat after twice now having almost raped them and would let him lay there, tracing patterns on their bare skin as if nothing had happened.
Was he going to tell her about what he'd figured out? That Serena really had no choice but to follow Tharin and do as he said if she wanted to live? Yes, he wanted that. It would make him look better if at least Zoe could go places without winding up severly beaten up.
"I don't think your friend had much of a choice if she wants to live. Didn't you see how he has marked her? It was foolish, but convenient, of her to attack her new friend." Sure, he didn't like what the she-wolf had done and he didn't mind if she wasn't friends with Zoe anymore, but he didn't want Zoe to be all alone. But she wasn't, was she? She had Jack, and she had him. She didn't need this Serena girl after all.
"I'm sorry you got involved in that mess."
"Don't be," he chuckled slightly. It had been fun. Sure, it hadn't been so fun to more or less lose the fight itself, but he was sure the wolf was suffering more than he was right now. After all, the wolf had someone who'd attacked him at his side. "I'd do it all over if I had to," he turned slightly and kissed her bare skin, before he once again was just resting there.
"I'm not going to force you to do things for me, Zoe, I'd never ask you to betray a friend to save yourself, you know that, right?" Because she didn't need to be afraid for her life, he wasn't going to kill her, or hurt her so bad her life was in danger. Compared to how she might've fared with Tharin, she was safe now. At least safer.
