OOC Rules:

-golden rule-
Treat others as you would have them treat you, your mother, your dog, and your children. This means just respect one another, opinion, or religion, whatever it may be.

-arguments-
Between IC and OOC these are to be separated, if someone offends you OOC or IC do not take it to the opposing section of the board. As for OOC Arguments, please keep them from the board. If my mods find anything that is not ‘playful’ in meaning I will gladly permit them to delete the entire thread.

-real life-
Yes, granted I personally do not have much of a life outside of the net, others do. If something comes up in which you will be detained from the board for any extended period of time over a week, pleas inform us as a courtesy. We do not mind that you want to go on vacation or a tragedy occurs in the family we do understand. If there is just too much chaos for you to deal with your character(s) and real life, please tell us, we will place your character’s bio in the temporary absence thread.

-three strikes-
Here at Crimson and Clover we adhere to a three strike you’re out Policy. Any rule broken three times (this can be separate rules, or the same offense repeated) will cause the account to be removed, and bio deleted. Each time a rule is broken, the offender will be given a warning.

-avatar signature sizes-
Do not post avatars that will stretch the board out, I have put alot of time and effort into building this board. If its cosmetic appearance is altered in anyway, I will give you your first warning and remove your avatar or signature link. The second part of the password is: 'likes crisps.'

IC Rules:

-OOC Comments-
No IC post should contain any form of OOC message. Translations are an exception such as:
Ich liebe dich. (I love you.)
This is accepted, though this is not:
((OOC: ohh man I can’t wait to see where this goes!!))
This is why we have a c-box and PM boxes

-no emoticons or *, :, -‘s-

Let alone the fact that these are one-shot posts in which you can easily perform in a chat room, this is *NOT* permitted within the board, and such posts will be deleted.

-spelling-
Atrocious spelling is not tolerated. If you aren’t fluent in English, lenience in this rule will be given. Typos are tolerated, as in a few misspellings per post, though I recommend pre-writing your post in Microsoft Word before hand, as it has a spell checker.

-grammar-
I have a very useful link to help anyone with their grammar. http://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/index.htm, Here's the link for those who want it.

-IC tense-
All IC posts are to be written in 3rd person past tense.
An example of an incorrect post: I walked in through the door. I watched as a girl eyed me.
Correct: Alistair stepped through the doorway, his eyes focusing on a girl as she stared him down.


-l33t speak-
OMG WTF that guy wuz lyk totally checking u out!!!1!!111!!eleven! NONE I repeat NONE!!!!! of this will be tolerated IC

-god-moding-
Alrighty, the kicker right here. No god moding, whatsoever. This means, no knowing what anyone else’s character thinks, no controlling another character (exception being NPCs), and no defeating them with any attacks, this is something at the discretion and choice of the other writer. Also no being immune to any diseases or being capable of blocking every attack lodged in your character’s direction. first part of the password is: 'Gollum'

-post length-
A minimum post length is 2 paragraphs excluding anything spoken/thought. Each paragraph should have a minimum sentence count of 3-5 well written sentences. Any posts shorter in length will be warned. Anything above and beyond this requirement is appreciated as it gives the respondent more to based their reaction off of.

-plotting-
There will be a board-wide plot, this is something that my mods and myself have worked on, and are finishing at the present. Individual plots are supported and encouraged, though if they in some small way interfere with the board-wide plot or genocide of the student population these must be discussed with myself and the moderators.

Application Rules:

-rarities-
The amount of werewolves, vampires and skin-walkers will be monitored. If we put a limit on the number, it will be adhered to. My mods and myself will be going over applications and will write messages if you are to change the ‘race’ of your character.

-the board rating-
I am personally rating the site as being R due to possible graphic violence and sexuality. All sexual posts must have a warning included in the title. If this rule is not followed a warning to both (or however many people are involved) will be issued.

-the play-bys-
I'm tired of seeing the same people used for play-bys. We like MODELS, ACTORS, ACTRESSES, SOME MUSICIANS (not many musicians aren't scene nowadays however).The following aren't allowed on Crimson & Clover for Play-bys:
Disney Stars
Scene Kids from Myspace, Facebook, VampireFreaks whatever
Scene Musicians, because they are creeping up there in my list of 'wtf'
unknowns, please keep it to models, actors, and actresses
