What if the Persians won the Greco-Persians war and conquered Greece how would this change history?

Really depends; how long the Persians will be able to hold the land. Had they defeated the United Greek Fleet at Salamis, it's quite open. The Greek City-stats have always been living separately from each other, so I'm not quite sure if a seperate Greece will be able to fight the Persians back for a while (perhaps Macedonia). However, in overall plot of History, I'm quite not sure. Most of Greek beliefs would still be there and nobody really cared about their scientific achievements until the Renaissance era

Would Xerxes have done such a thing though? He knew it would cause some feelings of revolt and stuff, and I doubt he'd carry on to badly. Obviously, they will still treasures and sack a city to a certain degree; but I highly doubt Greek culture, architecture, etc. would be damaged at all.

Let's see, the general populous would still know and speak the language, and so it would not have been lost. Butchering the vast majority of them is not possible either. Taken into slavery, same thing. A language can't just up and disappear like that.

I actually have a different idea of a possible religious change,
there are indian records that state that one Greek King did in fact, convert to Buddhism, although there are no records of this in Greek ore western records obviously. but it does raise a possibility that Buddhism may have spreat to Europe.

Anyways, I believe the word "Barbarian" actually came from the differentials between Persian and Greek. The Greek, whenver they heard the Persians speak, could only hear "barb barb" hence the word barbarian was formed

it seems like a lot of fiction, but the persians would be more accepting of Indian culture than the greeks, so it is possible had this happened, that buddhism would have seen a wider spread than it did.

The Greeks calling the Persians "barbarians" started during Xenophon's adventure in Persia. The Persians hired Greek mercenaries to help out a rebel named Cyrus, who was the current Persian King's brother. The rebellion failed and Cyrus was beheaded, his head and his hands were hanged to strike fear into people who were going to think about rebellions.

Anyway, Xenophon's troops were promised they would be given provisions and guides from the Persian king, but right when they've gotten far, the Persian king sent a vast army to persue them while they're already tired. Xenophon stood up, talked some sense into his whiny troops and took command of an army. They started avoiding the Persian army and finally reached Greece, where they explained how the Persian 'barbarians' back stabbed them.
