11's style of play has really grown on me. I'd say its favorite one yet. I really like the battle system as it seems to be a perfect balance of 9's style and the more traditional style in the previous versions. My only complaint would be the "been there, done that" feel as it's far too easy to maximize your city's development.

Its a good game in my opinion and as other say, easy to build up your cities in the beggining. Also, you can only play in one map, which is the entire view of China. So you can see whats happening on all parts of China.

Build up your force very slowly at first. Build up enough gold and food to support 4 or 5 cities and then begin your attacks. It always works for me. Focus on building farms and markets in your first city and just have a barracks and smithy for military buildings.

Have a minimum of three farms and at least three markets+1 mint in your city, then purchase food as soon as it hits 6 or 7 per gold. You shouldn't have to worry about food ever again, plus you can sell back a good chunk when food drops to 3 per gold. With any luck, you'll have all the money and food you need within two years of starting your game. If you're spending too much money, try limiting yourself. For instance, when I use smaller cities, I recruit troops the first turn of each month and then purchase weapons on the last turn, usually searching in between. To build weapons I refrain from any other spending until the weaponry is done. Another useful tip is to take advantage of gates/ports. In Shang Yong, for instance, I attack Fang Ling and then withdraw all of my troops. Once or twice a year I send one soldier to it to pick up all of the supplies and return to Shang Yong.
