After that one episode in which Tao Tang posted 2 topics on the KOEI forums, I've decided to put in a few rules on advertisement after a talk with Ricky. Advertisement is good and well, but we don't want members getting banned on our behalf. Remember, this applies to our forum as well.

1.) Don't make a topic-unless otherwise stated, forums generally don't want you to make a topic advertising another site.

2.) Don't post links-posting links anywhere aside from your sig is generally not allowed. There are exceptions to the rule, however.

3.) Signature advertisement-when advertising in your sig, be discreet about it. Don't use size 32 font in big, bold letters. Use the standard, maybe with a bit of colour.

4.) Private Messages- Most "official" sites (KOEI forums, Gamespot, GameFAQs) give their admins the ability to view Private Messages. Unless otherwise stated, assume that advertisement using Private Messaging is not allowed.

This was something we were talking about. And should be taken into a serious matter. Some of you may, or may not post in KOEI.com forum. If you do please read the following and please follow this, if you do not wanna get banned from their forum. It is not ok to PM members asking them to join here - or anywhere for that matter. They have a system where as the administrators, (EvilRuler) can read PM's. You will get banned from KOEI.com on your third warn.

- It is okay to apply a link in your signature.
- It is not ok to PM a member via PMing.


The forum there is very strict, and will not tolerate such things. Making a topic is even worse. (About a Forum.) And all this can be quite critical. In due time you will get used to the way things work around certain forums. It's much safer to do things like this via MSN, Yahoo, AOL Messengers, etc. As long as you keep this all in mind.

TT got banned in the KOEI Warriors forum?

You know, you shouldn't directly go make a topic on this forum.
I think its kinda offensive to the staff.

Then why is there a topic about GD?

Ah, General Discussions is an affiliate with the Council of Heaven, a sister site so to speak. And, it is run by one of our staff members, so we're there to show some support.
