"we are the children of a war. that's what everyone says anyways. what war they mean I'm still not sure of. maybe it was a war
against ignorance? maybe it was like one of those pseudo wars like 'war on drugs!' 'war on terror!' 'war on school lunches!'. who rea
lly knows. what we do know is what the government tells us. and you can be damn sure that it isn't what's really going on. not really.
there are riots in the streets, but they tell us everything is going along peacefully. there are children taken from their rooms in the
middle of the night, but it's never reported on. people are afraid, but the government keeps handing out false promises and distract
ions to keep the public docile. like puddy in their grotesque little fingers. it's disgusting. we're not cattle. we're not something you c
an line up and slaughter when you get bored with us! we're humans! citizens of the world! we will not allow you to treat us like we're
anything less than what we are!"

otos and gossip about crap we don't really care about, but we must since they're in the magazines! they fail to tell us what's r
eally going on. what they're really hiding. that they allow murderers to go free because they donated a load of cash, that they're al
lowing incidents to go unreported because it wouldn't suit their perfect little crime record, that they're releasing people from azka
ban that have killed people all because it would save them more money to release them than to keep them. it's disgusting! you
don't get to decide who's guilty or who's innocent based on the size of their pocket books! you don't get to choose who gets to b
e saved and who doesn't! you don't get to pick and choose when the law will come into play and when it wont! you sadistic bastards!"
This is a universe unlike anything the trio had to face in their time. Corruption leaks from every pore and you needn't look hard to s
ee that the streets are plagued with crime, with greed, with filth that everyone wants to try hard to forget. This is not some perfect l
ittle society that works in harmony with one another. The only sort of harmony anyone could ever hope get is the kind that they hav
e to pay for. The Ministry, well it works on a dime to dime basis. If something doesn't suit their business, or if something isn't wort
h their time, well, they just sweep it casually under the rug. No harm no foul that way. If you have the right kinds of connections
and the money to back you up you can go anywhere in this world. Anywhere. Especially if you want to do something that isn't exac
tly high up the moral totem pole. The Mortis Haori are the very idea of corruption. These elite pure-blood witches and wizards
have had their hands in everything. Everything. They were the reason for the revolution of 1999, they were the cause of the Great
Work Famine of 2005, and they were the right hand to what is currently known as the Bloody Tuesday Terror. But what was the Mini
stry to do? These people were the backbone of their society. They weren't going to just jail them. Then where would all of their fun
ding go? Who would hire people once they were gone? So they were pardoned, much to the public's horror. They were allowed to walk
the streets scott free, all because they had the money to back up whatever they wanted to do. Murderers were allowed to walk free.
The people were pissed. To put it bluntly. They had lost so many people in that massacre, they had seen so many of their loved one
s just gunned down like they were absolutely nothing. They complained to their government, the people that were supposed to be pro
tecting them. But they didn't do anything. On the contrary. They surpressed the rioting. They jailed people who spoke out against them,
and worst of all they started placing bans on public events. This is where the Rebels come in. They don't have a name, not that the
public knows them by at any rate. All they have is a symbol. An eye, ever watching and vigilant. They're the Big Brother to a soc
iety that has run a muck. They protect those who need protecting, and moreover they punish those who have gone unpunished
by the law. Granted this vigilante-ism is not at all tolerated by the government, especially a vigilante that they could neither see nor infil
trate. What did these Rebels want? For their government to listen. For the people to stop being so afraid of the thing that was supp
osed to be protecting them. They want things to be how they are supposed to be.

i will stand up for my rights, i swear it! i will make my government fear me, love me, protect me. that's what it was supposed to be
doing all along. but they have abused that right. they have abused me. and they will be overthrown and they will pay for whatever
transgressions they have committed against me. i swear it!"
