Well this was during out to be an interesting holiday, to say the least, and it hadn’t even been a day. Nerissa smiled to herself as she thought about the events that had unfolded. Her company had arrived right on time, all of them seemed excited to be there and Nerissa was excited to see them, especially Val. From the moment she saw him the little bits of butterflies that had been in her stomach turned into an entire army of them, throwing a raging party with her heart. She knew it was wrong, he wasn’t the guy she wanted him to be, but her eyes couldn’t move from him. If she stood near him, her body instantly felt like it was on fire. She seemed to lose every bit of her senses when it came to him. That was the main reason she was glowing at this moment. He had made a comment of joining her in the shower and she had said. Of course she would yes. Her heart and body practically screamed it before her brain registered the question. And oh the shower, that was one hell of a shower. She had never been so tired from just having taken a shower, ever. If they kept that up during the entire holiday she was never going to really get clean. Not that she was complaining, they could keep it up forever. She would definitely be okay with that.

Of course her mind went back to the moment he had said that he was high when he mentioned BAMing her. (BAMing seemed to be the term that merry gang liked to use, for whatever reason.) He said he was high when he thought of BAMIng her and then written it off as being high and not really wanting to. Sure what they had in the shower was amazing but Nerissa felt that comment echoing throughout her entire being. She was being silly. Val was not the type of guy to care and here she was getting caught in the moment. Every time he called her Issy she melted, for her it wasn’t a game and she knew her feelings wouldn’t be returned. She needed to remember that. She steadied herself on the kitchen counter, wondering why she was worrying about it. She didn’t have to, if Val didn’t want her there were plenty of men who would.

Of course everything she was doing tonight was really for him and him alone, so she could tell herself that but her actions weren’t helping. She had gotten all ‘dolled-up’ for him and cooked an amazing meal. Nerissa really hoped that everyone was hungry. Besides you couldn’t really come to Greece and visit a Greek and not expect dinner to be a huge meal. It was just part of the culture. She had opted to make a Greek salad, fresh baked bread, tzatziki, spanakopita, greek potatoes, chicken, and of course baklava. She couldn’t help but want it all to be perfect. It was their first night here and she wanted it to be every bit amazing. Besides, cooking kept her mind busy and she needed to keep it off of Val, or else she was going to drive herself crazy. Trying to shake all the butterflies she swished her wand to allow herself to have everything carried out and put on the table. She could have tried to just put out plates of food on the table but this would be traditional Greek family style. Everyone could take whatever they wanted off the table.

She lowered everything on the already set table. It looked beautiful. The candlelight was just enough without taking away from the gorgeous night’s sky. Well no matter what she was happy to just spend a holiday with friends. Plus Nikos would be coming tonight and he always made Nerissa feel better. She hoped his being there would calm her nerves and just allow her to relax. “Well dinner is ready.” She said to herself as she waited for everyone to come out.

It is damn hot out – Nerissa is setting the table looking like this.
Thanks to Gwen Stefani for the ‘Luxurious’ lyrics.
& dinner … outside.

SWEAT SWEAT BECAUSE OH BABY I’M A POISONOUS PILL!
POP ME IN YOUR MOUTH BABY AND GIMME A SWIRL

This vacation was… well… it was. That’s the only way Vasilis really could describe it. There wasn’t really a word that could describe what was happening at this moment in his life, and he kind of felt that if he tried to explain it, to put a label on it, some how he would ruin or tarnish it. So no. He wouldn’t put a label on his vacation, and he would just say that it was. Vasilis hadn’t even been planning to go on another vacation so soon after his return from France, but Octavia suggested it and once Octavia suggested something it was set in stone, no getting around it. Of course, once the details were laid out he didn’t mind. Hell, he would have been just jumped the gun and apparated there, no clothes, no money, nothing. He was like an excited puppy, and maybe that’s what scared him so horribly that he made himself stop feeling, at least he appeared that way to the rest of the world. He had his appearance to think of, he had to look a certain way even if he wasn’t exactly sure that that way was going to make him the happiest. But Vasilis always had this way about him, this suave, calm demeanor that most girls found attractive, and even worse he appeared as though he was mysterious and unattainable if he just sat back, drank his wine and said nothing the whole night except look at everyone through those brooding eyes. For the most part that worked to his advantage. Whenever he wanted to have a pretty little thing come and stay the night, all he had to do is look at her with that ‘come hither’ look and she was his. But now he was wondering whether or not that was such a good thing after all. It didn’t exactly make him out to be a puppy dog, or leave any room for him to be one if he wanted too.

Vasilis was worried, noticeably, before dinner as he peered at himself in the bathroom mirror. He had locked the door, there was no need for anyone to see him like this. Vasilis didn’t get nervous. He was always the calm one, the cool one, the one everyone could look too to make the evening run smooth. But Nerissa had him on edge, even if he had a hard time admitting that to himself. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to be in whatever he was with Nerissa, it just wasn’t really planned. They had been, well, something at Hogwarts. He wasn't really sure what then either. But somehow that morphed into whatever he was dealing with right now. Well, okay dealing might be a bit of a harsh word, because truth be told he kind of liked it. Maybe that was just the nerves talking, he couldn't really be sure anymore. But Nerissa had him tripping over himself, and he was never ever like this. He didn't get nervous around girls, he didn't like to get all dressed up just to impress them.
