One of the reasons why I was drawn initially in the site was because of the movie inspirations the site draws its plot from. Closer and Sin City are some of my favorite movies and finding a site that mash-up these two was a dream come true. That said, I've noticed the characters in the site lean more towards the movie Closer. I really want to make a male character whose personality and narrative draws more upon the style of Sin City but I worry he will not mesh with the rest of the cast.

That is not to say I won't be flexible. XD I can and will streamline him, make his posting style more in keeping to what is already in the board, but again, the qualities of the man, down to personal appearance and style and other aspects of him will clearly be more Sin City-ish. I was wondering if the admins (and older members) think the board has evolved too much to allow for such a character type?

P.S. I (also) think the concept of Sin City was more focused on the segregation of the four quarters rather than characterization, in which case ignore this post, please. XD

I think you should go for it. Honestly, we'll allow pretty much anything that is within the limits of reality. It's true that the game has developed more in the direction of Closer than Sin City, but I think that's probably a natural result of being a real life board, and not comic based. If you think your character can fit into the game though, we'll be happy to have him. Obviously, I don't know exactly what you're planning, but if it's something you want to do, I (and I'm sure Birthey is too) am very supportive of that, and I'll plot with you if you decide to make him.

Ah, excellent! Thank you for the encouragement! I'll get working on his application then. And if he's able to get integrated and/or manage to keep up with posting, I will likely make a second male. Maybe even the male canon I've been wanting to play since forever. XD
