Zoom in on Miss Ella Detroit, a twenty-four year old aspiring actress from a sleepy town in Arizona. She moved to Bishop City with one goal in mind: to make it big and become a star. The only problem is, well…that hasn’t happened yet. At the moment, her only claim to fame is a Colgate commercial, which isn’t going to win her any awards any time soon. She’s a resident of the North End, living slightly beyond her means but refusing to give up on the lifestyle with which she’s fallen in love. She’s not about to stop attending the high-society events and frequenting the trendiest nightclubs.

Like most actors, Ella has a big personality and loves to be the center of attention. She’s boisterous, spirited, and frankly, loud, but she’s able to switch that side of her off when needed, a testament to her acting abilities. In her “real” life, she has the tendency to be a tad insensitive, though it’s only sometimes malicious and intentional. But don’t be mistaken…she’s not opposed to some back-stabbing and manipulating when it’s in her best interests. She’s looking out first and foremost for herself, so when it comes down to it, she’ll take someone else down if need be. But other than that, she’s relatively harmless. She’s just a girl with a lot of big dreams and a bit of a romantic side, and she’s hard-working enough to actually get to that red carpet someday.

FRIENDS
Ella’s not exactly the type of girl who is actively looking for friends, nor does she really think she needs that many. She’s too determined to worry about making friends. Regardless though, I think she’d have a few confidants, probably other residents of the North End and perhaps fellow fame seekers.

ENEMIES
Like any drama queen, Ella doesn’t think life is exciting unless she has a couple of enemies. It’s boring to have everyone like you, after all, so she would welcome anyone who doesn’t like her. She has manipulated, back-stabbed, and lied to people before, and she’ll continue to do so, so if you were a victim of that, you might not be her biggest friend. Also, anyone who knows of her “old life”, that she’s really Susan Greenberg, won’t be on her list of favorite people.

LOVERS
So currently, Ella is pretending to be dating Roméo Gregory, but she’s falling in love with him, though he has no interest in making things real between them. She’s also known for having dated some well-known men, and she’s definitely no prude. She’s gotten around quite a bit, so she’ll need ex-boyfriends, ex-flings, one night stands, etc. But I would also love it if there was a guy who could bring out the more honest side of Ella, who helps her realize that she’s more than just an actress.

Basically, Ella needs everything, so please hit me up with your ideas! <3

Okay, so I really have no business plotting, what with the gajillion replies I owe from when my exams decided to eat my muse, but... HERE I AM ANYWAY! -beams-

I've got quite a few babies to whore out, so be patient.

The most likely suspect, in my opinion, is Linnea McCoy. They're around the same age, and they're both North Enders. Linnea grew up on West Side, and her parents are quite rich, so she's accustomed to a pretty cushy lifestyle, though she herself has, in a fit of self-empowerment, decided to become a cop. She's been one for a while, but she's pretty hopeless still, at least as a beat cop. She'd be better at detective work, 'cause she's definitely more brains than brawn, but she has very little faith in her own abilities. Anywho! Since Linnea has more money than the average cop, she has a penchant for nice things, maybe she and Ella could be shopping buddies or something like that? Ella would definitely be top dog in that relationship though, 'cause Linnea is a bit of a wallflower. She's not really shy, but she's very reserved and soft-spoken, and she'd admire/be envious of Ella's natural confidence.

Second, I have Lanny Darling, who's a few years older than Ella. He's a 31 year old writer slash waiter, heavy emphasis on the waiter part, since he's never been published and he's been made daily manager at a job that was only supposed to be temporary. He's really an overgrown teenager, loves joking around, playing pranks, and talking to people. He can't stand being alone for long periods of time, and he very rarely sits still.

He lives on South End, and the diner he works at is in South End too. The diner is an easy spot for them to have met, although Lanny does get around a lot, and I can pretty much find excuses for him to be anywhere.

Oh, and he would flirt with Ella. A lot. It's just how he interacts with women.

Third, I have Pax Whitby, who's also a North Ender. He's 30 years old and co-owns an adult store with his best friends, in addition to doing some consulting work for various companies to pay for his apartment. He's gay, though not particularly flamboyant. In fact, he often comes across as a bit conservative because of the way he dresses, but he's actually a raging liberal, which will inevitably become clear to everyone he meets sooner or later.

I'm not entirely sure how he'd react to Ella; he'd probably compliment her a lot, 'cause he likes making people feel good about themselves. And he'd like her spirit, because he admires anyone who has the courage to be themselves. He would, however, not appreciate her moments of maliciousness though.

Fourth, I have Mika Fierro, and this is where I'm starting to reach a bit. He's only 19, but he knows Ella's fake boyfriend, on account of Roméo being friends with his big brother. Don't know if he'd ever come into contact with Ella though. If he did, he'd probably have a little bit of a crush on her, though not really the cute blushy kind that leads to a lot of stuttering, 'cause he's been doted on by pretty much everyone his entire life, and as a result, he's a cocky little brat. So maybe he could amuse Ella by flirting with her or something like that?

Fifth and sixth, I have Alex Atwood and Allie Striker, but I'm not even going to bother trying to come up with ideas for them, 'cause they're so different from Ella. Suffice to say that they exist, and if you have any fun ideas involving them, I'm always open to suggestions!

Hey there! I'm new to Closer too and still hunting around for some plotting from people.
The only member of my fleet of characters is Caleb here. He's a few years older than Ella and a resident North Ender. Seeing as Ella has dated a few well known men around town (Caleb being fairly well known himself) I think it would be interesting to have them be Exs whether they are on friendly terms or not is up to debate.

LINNEA & ELLA -- I also think these two getting along and being shopping buddies, and Ella is totally the type to befriend people who aren't as outgoing as herself…she likes feeling like the top dog, as you put it. She'd probably feel like she could take Linnea under wing and bring her out of shell, whether or not Linnea wanted that or not, haha.

LANNY & ELLA -- I think Ella would appreciate that Lanny has a bit of a creative side since she likes to think she does as well, so they could always bond over that. I don't think she'd care much for his childish side, but that's only because she can have the habit of taking herself a bit too seriously.

But yeah, she would also flirt back. She's the same way..she just can't help but flirt.

PAX & ELLA -- Ella, if she actually took the time to acknowledge politics, would consider herself a liberal as well, and I can oddly see her frequenting the adult store from time to time since she's not really ashamed to embrace her sexual nature. She doesn't really have an…overt malicious side, so it's probably not something he'd see entirely too much, but she would definitely enjoy talking to him and hearing his opinion on things.

MIKA & ELLA -- I'm also not sure how they would come into contact, but if he ever did flirt with her, I can see her finding it cute in that "awww" kind of way, but at the same time, being all, "run along little boy".

--No worries about any immediate plotting…I don't want you to get overwhelmed, so if you want to wait to do any serious plotting, it's cool.--



CALEB & ELLA -- Ella would have definitely made it her mission to date Caleb at some point, so I love the idea of them being exes. I also think it'd be interesting to make them the kind of exes who are on friendly terms and can kind of be the ones who call each other on their shit, so to speak.

Hi Molly, welcome to Closer.... I have many (too many) characters to offer for plotting, so here goes.

First character is ANNA-MARIA JENNER CARMICHAEL: She is a twenty-six year old university student, studying economics, and works as a stripper part-time to pay her way through school. Anna is quite feisty and generally is very upfront and tends to speak her mind. She was born on the West Side, but after travelling around Europe for five years, she came back to Bishop City and resisted the financial support of her parents, instead taking a job as a stripper to support herself, which is why she's in the South now.

They're around the same age, and outgoing types, so it's possible that these two could be acquainted with one another. Whether that leads to friendship, I don't know, I think it could go either way, so they might clash with another a little bit, or they could be good party type friends, and have fun together. Annnd, they could potentially be friends outside of the party scene, if you feel like it, maybe learning that they each have a bit more depth than is immediately apparent. I think Anna does clash with Romeo quite a bit, when he comes to the strip club, so that could always add a bit more tension to relations between Anna and Ella.

Next is PHOENIX DELAFIELD. He is a lightly eccentric high class prostitute and co-owner of an adult store with his other halves Cooper and Pax. He is from England, part of a famous acting family, but ended up living in multiple places around the world with his mother, before she killed herself when Phoenix was seventeen and he ended up living in Boston and working the bars and streets as a prostitute to get by. Phoenix is.. deliberately naive, prone to intense mood swings, confident, under-educated, very friendly, overly affectionate, needy, self centred, charming and a crying drunk. He likes re-invention, and telling a different story to everyone. He also enjoys being an escort and talking very openly about sex to anyone who enters his shop/general vicinity.

Again, he's around her age, and he's a North Ender, so I'm thinking these two should know one another. I noticed the plotting with Pax, who is Phoenix's best friend, so maybe there is the possibility of connection between those two. Also, I imagine they'd end up at parties together, potentially when Phoenix is in his escort persona of James, which could cause some amusement and potential misunderstandings. Plusss.... if Ella is really into acting, maybe she could know about his family? Or put two and two together from his name or something like that. Phoenix would likely lie about it because he has a complicated relationship with his past and his family, but yeah, that could make things more interesting between them. He'd probably think she was a darling, either way, and flirt and compliment her a lot. There is also the parallel there of her being pretending to date Romeo, and Phoenix being an escort, which is an interesting detail, I think.

I have three others, but I don't see a whole lot with them, so I'll just do them briefly. If any of them interest you, feel free to grab them, though. So, there is ARDAN KENNEDY a South End mechanic, who is divorced with two young kids, and a recovering drug addict. I can't see too much connection between these two, they lead very different lives, and unless her car breaks down, I'm not sure they would have any contact.

My other girl is VICTORIA PRYCE, a police lieutenant and generally quite a lovely, classy lady, originally from Chicago and now living in the South. I can't imagine Vicky and Ella getting on... they move in very different circles.

And then there is DEVON CHAMBERS, He's an East Side comic book and sci-fi geek, who works as a bartender. Devon tends to stick to the East Side, and I can't see Ella ending up there, so again, might leave these two.

I go incognito for a few months for a few OOC reason and poof, somebody picks up Ella?! Holy crap... this is like Christmas in July, except its June. Anyways... I'm Dayton. Hi. How are you? You probably know by now, but I play (or played prior to my absence due to said OOC reasons) Romeo Gregory. We definately have reasons to plot. Very much so.

Anyways, we have the canon info to go off of, so that's a start. But let me fill you in on what's going on so far (as to what has been decided through my plots with other people):

Rome is currently in this little triad regarding 'relationships'. He's in the fake relationship with Ella that Rome treats more as a business venture than anything else. He sees her as an object and a way to get out from under his father's thumb and his incessant threats of cutting him off from the lifestyle he leads. He doesn't want to obey his father because he doesn't see a reason in being with a girl his own age when their priorities are so far fetched from his own needs and wants.

In addition, he's also in this semi-quasi flirting/teasing bordering relationship with Aurora Cafferelli. This relationship has been brewing for years ever since he became friends with Rafe Fierro. This one is a long winded one that has a lot of motion behind it. (This plot and thread is on hold once Rori's player comes back from finishing up OOC stuff).

Then there's the physical fling/relationship he's got going on with Violetta Ferruccio. That one's a hoot. They're like the passionate people who only do shit because they want to feel good and have fun. (This one's a go - just gotta get it back on track).

Anyways, I thought I'd fill you in on everything that's been decided so far regarding Rome, since those things can impact your character dramatically. I sent you a PM with ways you can contact me.
