Families of twisted test group sue
Florey family faced with multiple law suits as families of test group sue.

October 28, 2009
By Fiona Garrett

Following the discovery that Legacy creator Dr. Vivienne Florey used a group of fifteen mutant psychiatric patients at Bellevue as a 'test group' for the supposed cure she was developing, the families of the deceased mutants are now suing the Florey family for damages. Dr. Florey, who was found murdered in her apartment on October 11, is said to have acted in a manner unbefitting a medical pracitioner. According to a colleague at Bellevue, Dr. Florey only sought the permission of the patients, rather than the families before subjecting her patients to the virus. "She asked psych patients if they wanted to be part of a test group, I'm surprised the hospital allowed her to continue" said Nurse Maddison Westley of the late Dr. Florey.

The hospital is conducting its own investigation into what happened, but many suspect that those involved will face criminal charges. The families of the test group, however, have stated that the real criminal has already been dealt with. All fifteen members of the test group died due to the virus, although it wasn't until recently that family members were able to bury their loved ones.

Theresa Donaldson, whose son Theodore was one of the first to die, tearfully informed reporters that "Florey got off easy" when compared to her patients. Of the fifteen claims currently being filed, two names are brought to the forefront of the pile: Greene and Massara. The Greene's expressed remorse over the death of their eldest child. "He was a disturbed man but he didn't deserve this" said Donald Greene of his son Harrison, who was found dead alongside fellow escapee Amir el Massara and Dr. Florey.

Many more claims are expected to be lodged as victims of the virus begin the slow road to recovery.
