"I'm gonna trade this life for fortune and fame, I'd even cut my hair and change my name."
Hello, I'm My Love Song 08, typically just Song on other message boards. I respond to it nicely <3 I am a crazy left-winged Liberal, and am happy to admit it, and am a starch believer that if the right people ever tried communistic anarchy at the right place and right time, then it'd totally work. I'm way OCD, madly in lurve, and about as band-geekish as they get. I play flute, wish I could play trumpet, wanted to start out on the trombone, and very empty-feeling now that marching season's over. ^_~
My great joys in my life are my friends (kudos to you all), my flute, and my arguments. I'm agnostic, and I firmly believe in two things: gay rights and the fact that fat-bottomed girls make the rocking world go 'round (a friend of mine introduced me to that song not so long ago, and it was love at first chorus). If I could have three wishes, my first would be for writing skills, my second would be for an attention span, and my third would be for world peace. I've recently discovered a love of foreign languages, just starting off my first foreign language - Spanish. I am also way cooler than you, and am not afraid to say it. =O
My Current Ambition: To put an independent in...THE WHITE HOUSE! (audience: lolz, yeah right!)
My Current Mood: Beautiful <3

Lol, I stayed up waaay to late last night, and got up waaaay to early. I need curtains. What the point of Saturdays if your not sleeping in until noon because the sun wakes you up? That's the problem with new houses. You have all this stuff you have to do to make them function properly. We don't have curtains in a single room in the house - and we're probably not getting any, as this is just a rental we're staying in until our old house sells. Yuck.
My mom is dragging me to this thing called "The Silver Ring Thing" tonight. It's a three hour production on safe dating and abstaining until marriage. Neither of which I have a problem with, you know. I'm all for both. But do I really need to sit there for THREE HOURS and listen about people going on about the poor side effects of sex, thinking naively that they will lower teen pregnancy/STD rates by charging $15 dollars to give girls a ring to symbolize their pledge to abstain. It's a nice idea, it really is. But the cold hard truth is that if a girl hasn't already made up her mind that she wants to abstain herself, chances are that this isn't going to change that. Especially if their mothers drag them their. Teenage rebellion, anyone?
Here's how I say we help lower teen pregnancies/STDs: inform the youth about how to not get them. Radical idea, I know. Male sure birth control is available, and just as importantly, taught. My health book lists abstinence as the only way to prevent that sort of stuff, and yeah, it's the only 100% guarantee - but for those who are gonna go (excuse my bluntness) screw each others' brains out, would it not be helpful to suggest this kind of stuff as a Plan B? In the loverly state of South Carolina (first state to secede from the Union ^_~), school nurses aren't even allowed to direct student to Planned Parenthood for affordable birth control. Better now than abortion later, right? So irritating.
Love you all!

Edit: Later,
Alright, above mentioned Silver Ring Thing wasn't half as bad as I was afraid of. I guess I'm just a little paranoid around church people, even if I do have my reasons. There was some stuff I didn't agree with, some stuff that I totally agreed with, some stuff that made me laugh, a scene that made me start bawling (hormonal times, girls) - the only thing I really decided ticked me off was where something was said, I can't remember the exact wording, but the feeling I got off of the way it was worded was "you can't have common sense unless you're Christian," which might have been me being hypersensitive (abovely mentioned ;D) or actually serious, idk.
