first lets start with a quote from the rules.

I think we can all agree that there has been excessive amounts of breaching these three rules, and I am asking that it stop now. We wanted this place to be family friendly, meaning appropriate for all ages. I am not moderator of the whole site, but I promise that from now on I will be stricter in global news, and I encourage all of you to be more strict in your respective subforums as well.

I'm 14... I thought cupcake was 13. And I personally certainly don't mind it, but I don't want someone to find this website and pass it up because we're breaking the rules with our sex talk. The idea is for this website to be family friendly, and we should be doing our best to keep it that way.

no, it's not lol. If we had a graph, it would say that the "sex talk" on this forum jumped from about 5 to 70 in about 4 days of climbing, then it stuck up there. I don't want anyone either here now or that will be here in the future to feel uncomfortable or pass us by because of it.

I think the main issue is that we've gotten extremely comfortable and attached to one another. It's no longer awkward to talk about orgies and sex and whatnot in front of each other because we're all really close. You're right though, this is not an excuse.

According to the Invisionfree Terms of Use, a member must be at least 13 years old. That doesn't really bother me. If you're 10 or 25 you can still join as long as you behave well.

However, because of that we have to keep the board at LEAST PG-13. So what does that entail?

Saying the "F Word" more than 5 times will result in immediate punishment
Explicit sexual behavior or talk will result in immediate punishment

Innuendos and jokes are a lot of fun, but we older folks (haha *glares at Snazzy*) have to set an example for our little innocents (haha *glares at Lipton*)

Although I'm MUCH more strict on promoting illegal activity and disrespecting members, this is also a problem I will be looking out for.

I know that we're going through a phase. Once we calm down a bit and get back to debating we'll have an easier time of following the rules.

This all sounds good to me. Punishing people for swearing a couple of times seems like overkill. And innuendos are rather fun.

But if anyone specifically asks for innuendos to stop, they should stop immediatley.

That's not quite what I'm saying. I think they're okay, but if they're getting out of hand in a specific thread, any requests to have them stop should be honored.

We have to keep CS PG-13. When everyone joined, before we were this democracy, they were aware of the no-cursing rules. People also voted that rule into the Constitution. It's not overkill to enforce our own rules.

It's not any swear word, either. It's the F word. We're taking the same precautions that movie makers use when rating the movies. PG-13 means we can only use the F word minimally.

i think you can use it once in a pg-13 movie.

They've upped it, I believe. That's why I said if you use it more then five times you'll be punished. And punished doesn't mean banned or something. It means warned, and if you do it again, your posts will probably be monitored.

if you warn someone like, once, they have 100% i think. but idk cuz i've never warned anyone.
