Basically, what it says. Posts some of your favorite roleplaying characters here, and maybe a bit of the information about the roleplay they were in.

Here're mine two favorites: Koryo and Tezza!

Koryo's roleplay died a premature death. I'm hoping this little merman will be able to make a reappearance in another roleplay one day. ^^ *huggles Koryo*

Name: Koryo [Core-e-yo] Tenshi [Tin-shee]

Age: Physically 14, technically around 35. He generally tells everybody his age physically.

Gender: Male

Personality: He's rough and abrassive, and can often be rude on first meetings. He's nice once you get through his outer shell, though, and can be a great friend and bodyguard. He can be persistant when he has goals, and puts the most important priorities first. He tends to hold grudges. He isn't one to pick useless fights. He is bold. Despite his nature, he does think things through, and isn't impulsive. He's also quite social to those around them, basically because he doesn't have many to communicate with in the water. He gets annoyed if he has to rely to heavily on somebody else, even though it happens a lot when he starts to pass his 12 hour limit and his health deteriotes (check Powers for more info). He can sometimes seem rushed, due to the time limit that's on his shoulders when he's outside of the water. He can also tend to be a dreamer sometimes, and desire things nobody else really wants.

Background: He originally lived in a somewhat large civilization of mermaids, more or less a self-supporting colony. He lived in an average merpeople family. As he started to get order, though, looking around 8ish, he started to see more and more limits that he hadn't noticed when he was younger; Only eating fish, seaherbs, and occasionally, berries from the surface world, how they never seemed to be able to interact with other sentient beings, etc. The biggish one he shall was how he could never establish a full life on the surface world; as they were only able to be on the land for about 15 minutes at full health, about 6 hours maximum before death. Because of this, he soon decided to go up to the surface more and more, in order to build up his endurance to the land. Soon, he had built his endurance up to a point to where he could stay up on land for long periods of time.

Soon enough, he was spending just about as much time out of water as in, enjoying both the sea and earth. Some of the other citizens disapproved of this, thinking it was agaisnt the natural order of things. He ignored them more often then not, though, and enjoyed sharing the tales with some of the younger merpeople. Then one day, lost in thought, he realised something. He had gone agaisnt so many of the traditional ways, the ways of mostly secrecy, of surving entirely underwater. He soon knew that the possibility of expulsion was looming overhead...so one day he just left, prefering the option in which he would be able to come back.

His endurance grew a bit more, but he knew he would eventually go back someday...and live life like a normal merman (and he will be relieved that he won't have to go through the embarrasing moments when some child spots him in the water he choose to go into and say "Look at the pretty mermaid!"). He knew it'd be a long while.....especially after he heard about the stone, wanting to keep it from both evil and good, since he knows that the road to disaster can be paved with good intentions.

Description (may provide a picture if you like): He has bluish brown hair, which is about two inches long and messy, and will start to tilt more into the cerulean when in merman form. His eyes are a deep gray, and he somewhat small features on his face, and a medium height cheekbone. He prefers to wear medium weight, yet stretchy, clothes. His clothes tends to go a bit more on the feminime side, as they prove to be more convenient when he changes into Merman form (well, a fish tail does go through a skirt easier then a pair of pants, you must admit). He tends to wear a long, sky blue skirt, though if you bothered him about it, he'd insist it was part of a robe. He tends to wear a skin tight shirt white shirt, though it's stained brown and yellow from use. He carries a large sack across his shoulder, which is filled with a bit of human money, and bits of the currency of the merpeople's money he still has left. Most of the space in it is filled up by a small, collapsable bucket, and a few gallons of fresh water. He carries these items so that if he by chance isn't able to go back into the water by his time limit, he can use that to mantain his health by dunking his head and neck in in order to breath through his gills, with his torso and a big merman tail where his legs would usually be. Yes, it does look stupid. He has a lean, yet strong build, mostly by the fact that he carries the water around. His height is about 5 foot, 5 inches.

In mermaid form, the main differences is he has gills, which can only be seen as faint scars in human form. And the mermaid tail (duh). The tail is around 5 feet long, adding a total of 2 feet to his total length compared to human form. It's a faint aquamarine color, with the fins being a simple light blue. He has small, sturdy fins jutting out from the top and sides of where his tail begins.

Race: Merman

Alignment: Nuetral

Weapons: His prefered weapon of choice is the spear he uses to catch fish for food. It can double as a staff, also.

Powers: He's able to breath underwater and travel quickly, plus has the ability to talk to a few species of more intelligent aquatic life, and call upon weaker ones. He can change his form to that of a man temporaily, but can only stay in that form for about 12 hours at full health before going back into the water. If he starts to stay out longer then that, his health will slowly start to deterioate until he eventually dies.

Roleplay he was in: http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/forum/showthread.php?t=57205
It dissapointed me when this roleplay died...I really enjoyed it. Basically because Koryo was my first real character that I really felt had just come alive...

Anyway, Tezza. Her roleplay was the exact opposite of Koryo's. It went by so fast I wasn't able to keep up...so I sorta dropped out. IT'S HARD TO READ FOUR PAGES OF DETAILED POSTS A DAY. I didn't want to drop out, cause the roleplay WAS FREAKING AWESOME! So...it made me sad. Here's a link: http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/forum/showthread.php?t=67143

Name: Tezza

Species: Ninetales

Alignment: Black Onyx

Military Role: Ground

Power: Her senses are abnormally acute, allowing her to see, smell, and hear farther then Ninetales should be able to. This allows her abilities in tracking. Her touch and taste currently appear to be unenhanced.

Distinguishing Markings: Muddy marks, now recently paired up with stains of blood, adorn her messy untamable fur. Her eyes a black color, like that of an eclipse's, which will either look beautiful and deadly, or scared and frightened. The effect is finished up with her ragged head of hair combed back in an attempt to keep it from distracting her from times of battle.

Personality: Tezza's personality is unlike most other Pokemon's, in her desire to avoid having to kill, her mind forced itself apart into two natures. The first nature is Tezza's normal one, while the second one took all of the best traits for fighting and forged a personality for war. This has caused her to end up with multiple personality disorder.

Personality number one: Tezza always was more of a tomboy, eager for adventure. If you saw her, you could say her personality resembled that of a young boy's: curious, easily excited, hyper, and the like. Unlike most toddlers, she carries around an aura of friendliness, pride, and enthusiasm. She was looked up to as a role model by some of the younger vulpix's, and was never too afraid to get down and dirty.

Unfortunately, this side of her is becoming broken by the effects of war. Her once social attitude has become slightly shy and fearful, though she is gaining a bit of false pride from the achievements her other personality are gaining for her. She has gained a bit more patience, though, and her tomboyish and curious nature still remains intact. This side of her can really be great once you know her, and her protective nature allows her to protect all allies.

While Tezza is kind and misheivous and all, she can still be described as lazy, only doing something when she feels like it or has no other choice. She has a tendency to be extremely stubborn, and can be a bit of a glory hog at times. She still has a witty charm about her, though.

Unfortunately, being stuck around death isn't exactly doing wonders for this side of her personality. Her mind is too innocent to be able to stand this torture. After a while, it'll probably start slowly fading away, being taking over by the side able to handle it...

Personality Side Number Two: This side tends to be more valiant and impulsive. She is more outfitted for war, and holds the aura of pride the original was had. She has a sense of loyalty and will protect her allies. She has learned to gain quick reflexes and to get over death quickly. This includes some of the good parts about this side. Now ontu the bad.

Though she has many good points (THIS SIDE WILL BE REALISTIC! It isn't going to be all 'I'm ebil HARHAR!'), she can sometimes seem uncompassionate due to her traits. She tends to have difficulty with having fun and is overly serious. She is intelligent when she needs to be, but often enough, stupidity will overcome her instincts. Uncaring about her reputation, she will use it to her advantage when she has one. The main prospect that annoys some people is how she can be so casual about death. She just sees it as a stage of life.

She has the ability to think outside the box, though she can have difficulty with seeing an obvious anwser, as she has a habit of making it overcomplicated. For this reason, she works best in a group.

History: Tezza began life a citizen of Shale Ridge, living in one of the many towns there. She often enjoyed frolicking in the nature. Many other activities spent her time, most of them including her best, and only true, friend Kodou, a Larvitar, whom she had met a few years ago. Unfortunately, the peaceful times refused to life. The war quickly came, along with the many massacres. Her family and she soon took refuse in the depleting nature, hoping to wait for the war to resolve itself. Soon enough, though, it became obvious that it wouldn't be ending anytime soon, and that if they waited any longer, they'd soon be captured. So they set off to find the rebellion.

She had attempted to bring her friend, now a Pupitar, with her, but he had quickly fell off all the same, leaving a small stab in her heart. Hoping to see him again once more, she trekked off with her family. They trekked through the destruction, attempting to hide whenever the Black Onyx came by. Relatives of their large family were picked off one by one, most likely being forced into war or killed. They still managed to survive, though, which was all that mattered. So they continued the search.

When they thought they had finally found the location of the area of the Silver Apex, the unthinkable happened. In thier moment of joyous hope, they had been ambushed. Screams and shouts ran out as the remainders of their clan fought tooth to claw, the young giving the children and old a chance to run, then fleeing themselves. Fortunately, only a few ended up being captured, while the others fled to the rebellion. Unfortunately, Tezza was one of the ones captured.

A few days later, Tezza had gotten somewhat used to life in the Black Onyx. She hadn't seen any of her cousins as of yet, but figured that it was to lower the chances of mutiny. Her home currently occupied a small room with bunks, crowded in with a bunch of other pokemon, such as a Tyranitar and Heracross, just to name a few. Hope welled within her, thinking she might just be killed and go to Utopia. Her hopes were wrong.

The morning had begun like any other- she was shoved into a war, freezing cold shower, giving a few scraps for breakfast, and she quietly waited to be shoved back into the room. The first big clue was when a gun had been thrown into her paws, and she was thrown into the ranks of the military, squished between a Machoke and Rhydon. She marched along awkwardly, not daring to believe that she was really marching out to war.

It was an experience she had hoped she would never have to experience again.

Dodge out. Speed away. Shoot. Kill or be killed. That appeared to be the basic pattern of war. The killing wasn't the part that scared her, though. It was the fact that she actually felt a pang of victory at pride, by being able to decide a creature's fate, by watching the look of horror on their faces, then fulfilling their fills....

She forced her consciense to seperate that part from her, to kill it, hopefully destroy it. Soon it seemed to work, along with a few positive effects. When the first few seconds of war began, her mind seemed to blur out a bit more and more each day, until it seemed unreal. It almost felt like as if though she were just watching another mind fighting with her body.

If only she had known how right she was.

Apparentally, in her desperateness to get away from war, she had forced herself to gain a split personality to avoid it. With one side hating it, the other loving it. Of course, she did start to put the puzzle pieces together when she saw looks of admiration and fear from fellow soldiers.

These are probably the two best roleplay characters I ever made. ^^
