I agree. She looks fantastic and I love her voice. To think she's only 8 years older than Madonna.

The UK press are starting to pick up on it.

Here's the interesting bit from the article:

Abba sold 350 million albums worldwide and, at one point, became Sweden`s most successful export after Volvo. In the UK alone, they had 23 hits - including eight number ones - between 1974 and 1983.

A Warner spokesman said: "Agnetha`s new CD will be one of our biggest releases this year. Last year, she decided she was ready to do an album of covers and we were delighted to release it It`s a big deal for us because she`s a megastar - a name that everyone knows. She has such a distinctive voice that you know who is singing immediately. It really harks back to the days of Abba and will, hopefully, be a big success."

Warner released Miss Faltskog`s last solo album, Stand Alone (sic), in 1987. It did not do well but her record label blamed lack of prromotion.

Money is believed to be one reason behind Agnetha`s decision to return to the spotlight. Although her personal fortune after leaving the band thought to be £4million, figures recently released in Sweden suggest she made just £30,000 in 2002.

Agnetha split from her first husbnad, Abba`s Bjorn Ulvaeus, in 1981, after having two children, Linda, now 31 and Christian, now 25.

Her reclusive behaviour looks like changing with her new album`s release.

A record industry source said: "Agnetha has so far agreed to conduct interviews to promote this CD. An interview with Michael Parkinson has already been confirmed".

These are the lyrics to the single

If I thought You’d Ever Change Your Mind

I will bring you flowers in the morning
Wild roses as the sun begins to shine
Sweet perfume in tiny jewelled caskets
If I thought you’d ever change your mind

I would take you were the music’s sweetest
Feed you winter fruits and summer wines
Show you things you’ve only read in storybooks
If I thought you’d ever change your mind

I will bring you happiness
Wrapped up in a box and tied with a yellow bow
I will bring you summer rain
And rainbow skies to make your garden grow
And in the winter snow
My songs will keep you from the cold

But what use are flowers in the morning?
When the garden they should grow in is not mine
And what use is sunshine if I’m crying?
And my falling tears are mingled with the wine

I will bring you happiness
Wrapped up in a box and tied with a yellow bow
I will bring you rainbow skies
And summer rain to make your garden grow
And in the winter snow
My songs will keep you from the cold

I will bring you flowers in the morning
Wild roses as the sun begins to shine
Winter fruits and summer wine
Sweet perfume and lullabies
If I thought you’d ever change your mind

If I thought you’d ever change your mind

More on the single from the official ABBA fan club:

Our associate editor, Jeffrey de Hart, was able to hear the the final mix last month and has this to say about the track:

“Agnetha’s recording of ‘If I Thought You’d Ever Change Your Mind’ - a top 20 UK hit for Cilla Black in 1969 - can easily be compared to her 60s recordings on the Cupol label. It is very much reminiscent of that style. The obvious differences are that this recording is in English and it is a new, state of the art production. However, it is an acoustic track with orchestral overtones so it shouldn’t be expected to sound like the pop/rock records of today a la Beyonce, Britney or Kylie. To me, it has more staying power than those types of records because it’s a real recording with a real performance by real musicians. This is the stuff that puts the word “art” in recording artist. The lush, acoustic setting makes Agnetha’s vocals clearer than I’ve ever heard them and makes the characteristics of Agnetha’s voice that we know and love stand out more. The fragile tones that were always in her voice are especially obvious in the first verse of the single when she sings with only Anders Neglin’s piano as accompaniment. Then, of course, it builds to the fully orchestrated chorus. It’s simply divine. A goosebump experience! Her lovely accent might seem to stand out more because of the crisp production, or it could be a combination of consonants and vowels we haven't had the pleasure of hearing Agnetha sing before. Simply put, it's stunning! And it is Agnetha through and through. Ultimately everyone will be his or her own judge but it is undoubtedly a great day for all ABBA and Agnetha fans.”
