Who do you think is the most overrated general.
Me, I would say: Hua Xiong(did nothing) Yan Liang(near nothing) Wen Chou(near nothing) Liao Hua(near nothing) Ma Chao(loses almost all battles) Jiang Wei(loses all battles) Wei Yan(he isn't as good as a tiger general, or even close) Chen Dao(did nothing) Chen Wu(did near nothing) |

Let's see:
Guan Yu: Won two battles in a 30 year career, and one was because of the weather. Ma Chao: Lost most of his battles. Xiahou Yuan: I never really saw him do excellent. Zhuge Liang: Not near as great as the novel depicts him. Expect an edit.... |

Xiahou Yuan is a good general, Dun is overrated though. Here's Yuan's SGZ: http://empiredividedtk.com/rtk/sgz/xiahouyuan.htm |

I agree with you in both places here. Zhuge and Guan Yu. Way over-rated. -------------------- "I backed my car into a cop car, the other day. Well, he just drove off, sometimes lifes OK. I agree with what you all say about Zhuge Liang. I still feel that others, like Pang Tong and Fa Zheng, deserved more credit than he did.
I think that the most overrated general above all others is Lu Bu. The only thing he has is strength, but you need much more to be superior in war. You need intelligence and good leadership skills, which he really lacked. -------------------- "If you find a penny, pick it up. Now, all day, you will have 1 extra cent."

He was involved in around thirty battles during the Yllow Turban Rebellion, and won most of them. He was in the battle at Tiger Trap Pass and Luo Yang. Both victories. He was in battles against Yuan Shu, and early battles against Cao Cao beofre being captured. After being captured, he was in two battles against Yuan Shao, both victories. He was integral in the first conquest of Jing, and still scored victories in the failed second conquest of Jing. So how can you justify your statement? |
