Well, the generic backlight standard is green, so I decided to stick to that.

Blue is actually better for one's eyes, and it looks cooler.

I'm not too sure about that. Blue isn't really bright enough to backlight a screen, and green's the brightest color out of RGB, so I decided to use that.

That's not it; the mcd ratings are all the same, but the wavelegnths aren't, thus some colors appear brighter than others ( like yellow has a different wavelength than a dark blue LED, but they could have the same mcd rating, but the yellow LED would appear brighter).
