Last night a historical landmark in Vermont was burned to the ground. The Putney general store has been a part of Putney for 210 years. This isn't the first time this has happened. It was damaged by fire in spring 2008 as well. Townspeople went to work on it. It was almost ready for business too. My heart is broken because my alma mater Landmark College was just a few minutes away from the fire. Putney is a small town. Everybody knows everybody kind of town. This second fire is suspicious according to one of the staff members who works at landmark. I have no clue if they'll rebuild. I hope they do.

Im so sorry. I hope they rebuild and catch the person responsible, if that is the case.

So as of November tenth, the fire was ruled as an arson, there's a 15,000 dollar reward out for the person or persons responsible
