Oh to joy, classes were finally out. Sitting in a classroom listening to teachers drone on and on endlessly wasn't exactly what Christian enjoyed doing with his time. Okay, so maybe they were teaching 'important life lessons' that 'would be needed to get further in life' but did they have to do it in such a boring way? Now, some of the teachers actually kept things rather interesting, whereas others just droned on and on so long that Chris decided it would be better for him to just block them out completely. Maybe he was supposed to be taking notes, or writing down whatever it was that he was supposed to be doing, but he'd found it more entertaining to arm wrestle the boy that was sitting next to him. He'd one all three times, only because the kid next to him wasn't exactly the strongest person in the world - far from it. But, it didn't matter much to the male... he had still won hadn't he? Even if he had a much greater advantage.

Deciding to take a little walk outside of the school, Christian soon found how hot it was. His dark head of hair took the most heat, causing the werewolf-boy to become a bit grumpy - he never liked the heat much. Just the thought of all the sweating made him angry. He hated how sticky sweat was, and how if it got into your eyes it stung, and badly. But, the teen couldn't change the weather, no matter how much he wanted to. No, instead he could make plants grow and all the jazz, but what good was that if you couldn't use it in front of the 'normies' as he so affectionately loved to call regular people. He wasn't aware of anyone at his school that could control weather, but if he found someone he would be sure to make them keep the weather at a pleasant range. Until then, the male would have to deal with it - no matter how much he wished not to.

Today Christian went simple, with a plain white t-shirt and darkwash jeans that fit him just right. He wasn't a fan of jeans that sagged far too much nor did he like it when it looked like he was wearing girl jeans. No, the teen preferred just comfortable fitting clothes that he didn't have to keep adjusting every few seconds.

Feeling a bead of sweat roll down his forehead, Chris grumbled and wiped his forehead with the back of his hand. Cursing quietly to himself, the boy easily pushed his way through the crowd, his height and build frightening a few people. The loudness of the square didn't seem to bother Christian. People were shouting, kids were running around, babies were crying, tourists were snapping pictures constantly and yet nothing distracted him. Taking a deep breath and weaving around a few people, the werewolf-teen slipped into a coffee shop, although he had no intention on buying coffee; he just wanted to get into the shade. Perhaps later he'd buy coffee, but for now he chose not to. Crossing over the room and plopping his books carelessly on the table, Chris sat himself down, and glanced around at all the normies. He hated being different.

Classes were useless. If Rosie wasn’t talking to the person next to her, then she was staring intently at the clock, until the bell finally rang. This had to be a record- Rosie usually wasn’t bored with her classes until a few weeks in, but no, the first week in and she already felt like she was repeating freshman year. Still, there was one class she liked. She absolutely loved learning about starplay. Although the power wasn’t nessicairly useful, it was fascinating to learn about! But, luckily, classes were over for today, and instead of doing her homework right after school like she normally did, she had suddenly gotten a craving for coffee. An iced hazelnut latte, to be exact. She wasn’t the biggest fan of iced coffee, but on a hot day like this, it seemed like the right way to go.

That was the only thing she didn’t like about Venice. Weather. Hot summers and harsh winters didn’t leave much too look forward too, but fall and spring were always pleasant. Of course, this city of angels seemed to look elegant throughout all the seasons, and attracted more and more tourists everyday. In fact, Rosie found it hard to squeeze through the crowd at the moment, though to coffee shop was luckily not very far from school. She could only imagine what the vaporetti would be like on a day like this, you wouldn’t even be able to find a seat!

Rosie squeezed her way through the busy streets, smiling at a very excited Chinese couple, who seemed to snap a picture at everything that came in their sight. She frowned, pushing her hair away from her face. Although Rosie was wearing jeans and a tank-top, she already felt like she was wearing layers and layers of long sleeved shirts. It probably wasn’t a terribly hot day, but the hundreds of people around made it that much hotter. The air conditioning of the coffee shop was practically beckoning her. Once Rosie managed to find her way out of the crowd, she peered over the shops, finally spotting the coffee shop. Unlike most of the people who went to her school, Rosie was actually born and raised in Venice. And still, she found herself having a hard time getting around here! Maybe it was her terribly memory, or just the constantly growing crowds, but she scowled at herself slightly, for this.

A blast of cool air met Rosie as she opened the door to the quiet coffee shop, and she was very much relieved. No more crowds, and no more heat. She walked instantly over to the counter, ordering her drink right away. The short walk between the school and the coffee shop had left her surprisingly parched, but it was just another thing she could blame on the heat. After paying for the drink, Rosie snatched the cold beverage from the counter top, taking a long sip as she looked around the shop for a place to sit. Her dark eyes crossed over a familiar face, and a slow smile spread on her face. "Christian!" She shouted- though hadn't exactly meant to say it so loud. Oh well, she hadn't seen him since last year... Walking over to Christian, Rosie glanced at the empty seat next to him, ”Mind if I join you?” Rosie asked with a small smile. She was almost positive it would be, but if Christian was on a date or something she didn’t want to just sit down in the seat. That would be embarrassing…

-hides- Sorry this took forever. D=
And it's bad. -slaps self-

The coffee shop was like a little oasis, it's cool, quiet area welcoming and different from the loud, hot streets of Venice. As soon as you stepped into the little cafe, everything changed. From the beginning a blast of cool air met you, and the bustling crowds silenced. Sure, several people were in there, sitting in tightly formed groups around small circular tables. But they were all chatting in whispers, or reading... doing something other than being loud and obnoxious. The ringing in his ears that had been caused by the calls and shouts of tourists, and the laughing of young children had ceased. He figured now would be a good time to start his homework, most-likely not being able to get it done back in his dorm, where guys were running around and trying to be macho.

Opening one of his textbooks and sighing, Christian looked down at the words, for a moment. He opened a notebook, and just as he was about to write a shout found it's way to his ears. 'Christian!' His head jerked up, along with the heads of a few people scattered around the cafe. He stared at the girl for a moment, racking his brain in order to remember her. She certainly knew him, since she was already making her way towards him. She knew his name, why could he not remember hers? Blinking several times before she came up directly to his table, a metaphorical lightbulb switched on above him. 'Rosie.'

Clearing his throat, Chris looked up at the girl and waved partially. "Hey, er, Rosie." he murmured, closing his notebook silently. He stuck the pencil behind his ear like he had a habit of doing and took a deep breath. Hopefully the right name had been used - girls hated the name flub, no matter who they were. She asked to sit down and Christian blinked for a moment before registering. Okay, so perhaps he could be just a tad slow. "Oh yeah, sure. Here." he said quietly pulling off his books from the table top and carelessly shoved them onto the ground. Damanged books he could live with, angry girls he could not. Girls get scary when they're angry. He smiled slightly and gestured for her to sit. This would be interesting.
