I have Kanye West stuck in my head, and a lot of muse ^^ Strange combination...

The cool, crisp air this twilight suggested fall was in the air, if the changing of leaves wasn’t a good enough clue. Although Venice was fairly popular year-round, a good amount of tourists had slowly trickled out of the city, realizing that Venice no longer held the nice weather they had fallen in love with. Summers were good for Italy- usually not too hot, but hot enough. It just felt… warm, maybe even comforting? Then Fall would come in, bringing pretty colors and cool weather in to the city. The weather still remained fairly well, but dropped as soon as November hit.

Then, they were in for a harsh and beautiful winter. During that time, most students went back to their own homes for the holidays and enjoyed the slightly better winter weather. Oliver, however, preferred to stay at the school, even if none of his friends stayed. He could make new ones, and it was still less lonely then his own house. Christmas was a busy time for his mother, one that demanded many commercials and new movies. Which meant it would only be Oliver, along with his lifeless father. Fun holiday.

Oliver let out a bored sigh as he stared in to the pools of cerulean water underneath him as he sat at the dock. The ship traffic was fairly slow, probably because of the changing season. Still, he could make out a few boats over the horizon. It was getting late, though, and more ships would probably be coming in. It was only twilight right now, but still. He knew that he should probably be heading back to school…. They didn’t have a curfew that he knew of, but he knew he would have to return sometime. Not that he didn’t want to, he was just…. Bored.

Looking back at the water, Oliver waited for something to happen. The dock wasn’t a generally popular, or crowded place, but he seemed to attract people like he had a radar on his back or something. People just seemed to find him, without him having to look for them. Not that he minded at all, he was usually surrounded by his friends… However, now that he was alone, he realized what a boring person he must be. He couldn’t even entertain himself! Watching as a couple tourists went by, Oliver still sat at the dock. Although it might not have been interesting, it was surprisingly relaxing, and the sound of the waves was making him sleepy. If somebody didn’t come soon, then he would probably go back to school and go to bed- he had nothing better to do….
