ooc|| Kinda short. Meh.

ic|| Robots are fun. I don’t care who you are, you just had to at least have some sort of like watching those things zoom around the floor. At least, Felix sure did, especially when he had built the contraption. Oh, and, of course, it had to be in a high-traffic area where anyone could run into his robot--it was also probably against the rules, too. Fun. Very fun.

He was whizzing it around the front hall. All right, not necessarily ‘whizzing’, seeing as it wasn’t really made to be a fast robot, but it was definitely faster than you could probably react if you saw it coming towards you. Of course, it wasn’t built for racing--rather, for a practical use. If Felix ever found himself too lazy to get anything in his room, he could use the robot’s extending crane to get something. Neat, huh? Then again, he’d actually have to build that part--only the main body was done, and he wanted to test that before doing anything else. If the thing wouldn’t move, what was the use of putting anything on it? It was working well, though, perhaps a bit slower than he’d like on that left turn (he’d look at it later). For now, though, he just raced it in circles around the room, just to make extra certain it wouldn’t suddenly break down or short-circuit on him.

Controlling it with his remote control from a fairly safe distance, you could see the grin playing on his face, both vampire canines flashing against the lighting. He’d almost forgotten how fun it could be to test out his robots, considering his dad had really begun breaking down on him about that. Alexander Valde didn’t really approve of his son’s obsessions, still trying to figure out how he’d produced a nerd. If Felix ever wished to do much with his robots, he’d had to hide it. Now, though, he could freely test them and build them, so long as no teacher ran into him running it around the front hall. It was probably a safety and fire hazard, not to mention there might be rules against it. But the thought that you might get in trouble just made it all the more fun, didn’t it?

Admiring eyes looked upon the ceiling tapestries; following every line, soaking in every image, imagining the diligent painter carefully swiping each color into it's rightful place to form a scene. Faye turned her head slightly, admiring the likeness of a realistic white horse. She missed Pix, her horse. Perhaps she would speak with the headmaster and see if there was any way to get her shipped here. For now she could only look longingly into the photographs of herself and the gentle mare, wishing that they could re-unite. There is no bond stronger than a girl and her horse. These thoughts were marqueeing around her mind, closing tighter and tighter around her brain until she was completely delved in these memories and ideations that she didn't realize...

Clank.

"Oops."

Faye turned around, her billowy skirt flapping around her knees, a curious expression taking over her features. Her naturally pinkish cheeks reddened a little, seeing as she had accidentally bumped into what resembled a robot whizzing around on the crimson colored floor. She hadn't harmed it at all, just nudged it with her heel a little. "I'm sorry, that was an accident..." She said a little timidly, hoping that he wouldn't over react. "I'm Faye...what've you got there?" She pointed a slender finger to the hunk of metal, but remained looking at the teenager who was guiding it. He seemed a little unkempt, but in a good way. He looked like any other normal person, except for the slightly pointed teeth maybe, but his personality just radiated. He was different, and this was probably why; he was watching his metallic creation with a certain fondness, protectiveness maybe. Faye immediately admired his courage not to conform to the usual ways of teenage boys.

She was still eager to learn about him. "Have you been here long?" She asked, as if randomly groping for ice-breakers that were floating around in the air like germs. Her hands were clasped together behind her back, and her genuinely caring hazel eyes looked at him with what, to anyone else may have been scrutiny, but she was simply analyzing. Plus, he had amber eyes that were hard to tear away from, but she managed to to watch the robot circling around the Front Hall, the sunlight from the windows streaming in and reflecting off of it's metallic body. "Did you make it? It's quite interesting. I like it." She nodded and smiled very gently, almost unnoticably. "Speak."

ic|| She hit it. She hit the robot. All right, it was only a gentle nudge with her foot, completely unintentional and probably not at all damaging, but you could see the look in Felix's eyes and it was near spazzing. He drove the robot in his direction and dropped down onto his knees, surveying the side that had been damaged. Not even looking at her until he was certain there wasn't even a dent there, he was finally able to breathe easy when he found the surface unscratched. "Robot," he finally answered her question. Technically, yeah, it was a robot, even though it wasn't what you usually thought of (some humanoid machinery walking around on two feet that could talk.) Felix didn't quite answer her other questions though.

He flipped the robot over onto its back (carefully), surveying the two feet of wires and gears, a complicated contraption very few ever learned about. Checking things over, making certain everything could function fine, he looked at all the wheels, deciding since he was on the ground he might as well find out why it wasn't getting the left turns right. Adjusting the wheels, he had almost forgotten she was here. Honestly, the girl might as well have been air that just took up space. He could be so rude sometimes.

One thing stood out that he just couldn't help but correct. "Define what you mean by 'here,' it's a very general term," he said, not even looking at her but continuing to work at his robot. "I'm making it, it's not done yet. There's a lot I have to do, but it'll be one of the better ones," he replied, implying that he had made a lot of robots, which he had. Finally semi-satisfied, he looked up at the girl, realizing he had yet to introduce himself. Pulling off yet another sentences-out-of-order, he introduced himself last. "Felix," he said, surveying her features almost like he would a science project. All right, don't be pervish, not that way, but he was analyzing her, trying to figure out what she was.

"Shapeshifter, right?" he asked, coming to this through process of elemination. She wasn't as rugged as a werewolf, nor was her hair light enough to be a witch. If she was a ghost, Faye's skin would be near transparent, and she couldn't be a vampire--Felix would have been able to tell that right away. The only thing left was a shapeshifter, and he was fairly certain he was right. Yep, he'd gone about it in a very scientific way, as always.

He was freaked out, and she could tell. She stood quietly as Felix kneeled down and examined the robot, concern lining his features. So he did care genuinely about this non-living thing. Hm, quite interesting. Quite interesting indeed. He finally looked up at her, once he was finished inspecting for damages, and simply stated; "Robot," Faye watched silently as he turned back to his work and seemed to forget all about her standing there. She didn't mind, though. He'd remember soon, or else start driving the robot around again and he was bound to hit her with it. Then he would realize. These thoughts were doused with his next words a few moments later. "Define what you mean by 'here,' it's a very general term," She tilted her head a little bit. "I mean "here" as in, here at the school. Although I could be asking how long you've been here. In this hallway." She agreed with a wider smile this time. "I'm making it, it's not done yet. There's a lot I have to do, but it'll be one of the better ones," So he made more? Many more, Faye assumed. Probably in his free time, too. But it was a better trait than some, who enjoyed doing ridiculously pointless things in their free-time such as football...who would want to throw dead pig skin around?

"Felix," The boy looked her up and down in a strange way, obviously trying to determine what type of a student she was at this special school. "Shapeshifter, right?" He finally came to a conclusion and looked back up at her face, where she offered another simple smile. "That's correct." She confirmed. "Want to see?" She said, a product of her half-boredm, half wanting to do something, anything interesting. She felt like one of those balloon-animal people when she said, "What's your favorite animal?" The question seemed to be out-of-the-blue, like most of the other elements making up this conversation, but it was better than having a stale exchange of names, right? Eagerly awaiting his reply so she could shift into whatever creature it was--just for kicks--she stole another glance around the hallway.

The Front, or otherwise known as Red, Hallway was truly quite spectacular, if one were reffering to it's art aspects. She enjoyed surveying the paintings so much, she found herself looking at them once again. After a few more seconds she tore her vision away from the ceiling and inspected the dusty framed photographs on the wall. In some of those frames lived past headmasters, maybe valedictorians...people like Felix. She found this thought strangely funny as she imagined his portrait at home on the wall too, and was smiling at bit bigger than before, though she wasn't sure why it was so comical. Maybe it was because she was also imagining Albert Einstein as a teenager like Felix. Or maybe it was just because she was goofy. Either way, the smile was there.

ooc|| Meh, I don't particularly like this one. I was going to make him do something insane at the end, but I can't think of anything D=

ic|| "I mean 'here' as in, here at the school. Although I could be asking how long you've been here. In this hallway."

Felix was trying to decide whether or not he liked the way she had worded that. He felt like a little Kindergartener being taught a lesson by his teacher. He answered it nonetheless, with perhaps just a little sharpness in his tones. "This is my first year." Really, he would have been at the school longer, but, for some reason, they hadn't known he'd skipped two grades and was a Junior. It didn't matter all too much, though--there wasn't much he was going to need to learn about being a vampire. He could already transform fairly well, though he didn't like doing it.

As she spoke, he felt the same feeling again. Felix didn't like being treated like a little boy. Sometimes it happened because he was so ahead in grades and was surrounded by 17 year olds in all of his classes. Then again, she probably wasn't doing it intentionally, but he still didn't quite like her tone nor the way she worded her sentences, which was what probably brought on the slight malice in his words. "Not...really," he said. Felix didn't quite like watching others transform, nor did he like to do it himself. The process was so romanticized. Truly, he found it unnerving, all the bones changing and crunching, the body inside of you switching from one to another. Becoming a bat was one of the most disturbing, feeling your finger bones stretch and crunch into wings. Bleh.

He decided to at least answer her next question, if only for another reason to be obnoxious (that seemed to be his theme right now). "I don't like very many animals. I suck their blood," he told her. Maybe that was a little uncalled for...okay, a lot uncalled for. It also sounded a bit sadistic. He was a vampire, though, he couldn't help it. Despite the fact that, yes, there were a few animals he liked, such as his rat and chameleon, he had also inherited the Valde way of making someone pay just because of their words. It wasn't as cold as his family was known for, more just obnoxious and rude. But, that was him.

Finally finished adjusting his robot, he flipped it back over, wiping his hands off on his jeans. "And the world will soon be mine," he said randomly and quietly to himself. Felix tended to spurt out random phrases, he was quite the unpredictable person.

"This is my first year." Oh, so he was new too? "Me too. Do you know your way around yet? I don't really." She asked, hoping that maybe he could give her a tour around the school. But if it was his first year, he probably hadn't. He seemed to be kind of perturbed with her, she wasn't sure as to why but she shrugged it off and kept listening. "Not...really," He didn't look at her, and she frowned slightly. Would she have no friends at this school? Breathing in and out slowly, she awaited some more form of communication, the hallway quickly filling up with uncomfortable silence following his bitter tone. "I don't like very many animals. I suck their blood," Faye merely lifted her eyebrows. So she had guessed correctly that he was a vampire. She wasn't quite sure how to reply to that statement though, so she stood silently still, the slight breeze from the window ruffling her skirt and causing it to flow gently around her knees. The beaming sunlight illuminated every color of her eyes and making shiny streaks across her black, flat shoes.

Felix was absorbed in his robot work, which Faye wasn't familiar with, yet she still waited with patience for him to finish. If he ever did finish..."And the world will soon be mine," He remarked. Once again her eyebrows raised with curiousity. "What're you going to do when you rule the world?" She asked with utter seriousness. "Hopefully you'll be a good leader...I don't think you'd be a terrible one." She trailed off randomly. She wasn't mocking him at all, and any dummy with a brain could realize that her voice was riddled with legitimacy and seriousness. She doubted that he had meant for her to hear that, seeing as it was a bit uncalled for, but she didn't mind it.

"Have you met anyone else interesting? I haven't really talked to many other people yet, but I'll make some friends soon..." She said with a little bit of hopefullness laced in her voice, and even a little sadness. Usually she was bubbly and optimistic, but at times she could feel a little bit...lonely. Friends were a hard thing to make when you were someone like Faye. Unless they were a horse...or a hamster. Usually people tended to avoid her, or say things behind her back about the way she dressed or the abnormal things she did sometimes. Maybe Felix would understand, since he seemed the kind of boy who people would do that to. He was alright though, she supposed. He wasn't entirely rude but he didn't seem very friendly either, but she would overlook it. Perhaps he could be a good friend once you got past the walls and the robots.

I'm sorry about not posting here, but can we just say that a teacher was coming so Felix ran? I'm sooo sorry >.< I really have no muse for this thread, and I have a billion other threads to reply to.

Again, sorry. Once I'm finished with a couple other threads we can start a new one with Felix and Faye.
