Calypso's Wrath > C Deck > Third Class Smoking Room

Posted by: Border Walker Oct 3 2007, 12:22 AM
Unlike the other Smoking rooms, the Third Class smoking room is used almsot entirely for smoking, even though most Third class Passengers smoke really anywhere on the ship. The Room has low lighting and is almost covered in a thick smog, but has good Music...

Rufus enters

Rufus held onto his speargun, eyes darting around the room for anything suspicious...

Posted by: Border Walker Apr 5 2008, 04:24 PM
Would the fact that there was a large (And very much naked Male) Orcano standing before a small girl chained to the wall, with a whale-like creature, appearing to look like a white whale, held a speargun and darted his eyes to him. The whale was actually wearing somewhat modern day fisherman clothes though...

"You better not be thinking of doing what it looks like you're thinking of doing." spat Rufus, aiming the speargun at the whales...

Posted by: Border Walker Apr 5 2008, 04:41 PM
"This is a private mattah!" The whale with the speargun said with a Gloucester accent, pointing it to Rufus,

"Not any more, you sick fuck."

"Yes. What's your terms?" asked Rufus, his finely tuned opportunist business sense tingling - maybe he could weasel something useful out of this conflict.

Posted by: Border Walker Apr 6 2008, 07:26 PM
The like Orcano whaled about and snarled, but the Whalen stopped him from attacking.

"Stand back Akito. He's mine first..." Whaler said, "We fight on my grounds. A true stand off."

Rufus nodded...

Posted by: Border Walker Apr 8 2008, 10:58 PM
"If you agree, then, prepare yourself!" Whaler spoke, as he shot a spear into the floor, which pierced it and caused water to squirt out in Mass volume, spraying like an oil well. The water rose as the walls slowly lowered in the water, Everyone except Akito being forced to take to one of the tables as a way to stay out of the chilling water. The roof disappeared as the water rose up, the Calypso no longer was in view, instead being a various amount of overturned boats and a Ship graveyard...

Posted by: Border Walker Apr 9 2008, 09:56 PM
There was some traces of wood floating big enough that he could jump across...

Posted by: Border Walker Apr 11 2008, 10:59 PM
Rufus was able to leap in time to avoid a spear, as Whaler cursed like only a sailor could, then reloaded, Rufus getting closer to the 'Solid' ground of the half-sunken ships of various boating eras...

Posted by: Border Walker Apr 11 2008, 11:18 PM

Posted by: Border Walker Apr 12 2008, 03:56 PM
Since Whaler had reloaded and attempted to fire, that was a perfect time to, as with a skip and a hop, he had landed on the slanted edge of a half sunken ship, appearing to be from a pirate era...

Posted by: Border Walker Apr 12 2008, 11:12 PM
It would, as Whaler was now forced to move so he could find a better aiming position...

Posted by: Border Walker Apr 12 2008, 11:49 PM
As he was near the railing, he could duck low and move a little to one side to avoid it, as the shot fired and grazed the railing, shipping off wood pieces but missing all but his leg, which it grazed (Rufus -3)

Posted by: Border Walker Apr 18 2008, 09:26 PM

Uh-huh. Either it was a trap, or Whaler was stupid. He had a spear sticking out of him, so despite any predjudices he might have had towards whales, the first idea looked all the more likely to him. But what if it was a trap designed to make him think it was a trap?

Rufus just stared at the spear for a moment, paralyzed by doubt.

A clicking came in the distance behind Rufus as he stared at the spear...

Rufus's first instinct was to dive to the floor, but then he realised he did have a spear through his chest and that such a manuver would only aggravate the injury. Instead, he ducked to the side...

Posted by: Alkali May 5 2008, 10:02 PM
Figured. Carefully, Rufus headed off to where he had last seen Whaler...

Posted by: Border Walker May 5 2008, 10:58 PM
Rufus still found no trace...

Posted by: Alkali May 5 2008, 11:03 PM
"Figures you'd run!" yelled Rufus, trying to get down into cover.

Scraping metal? Probably something significant, but Rufus couldn't put his finger on just why it was important... whaler didn't have a metal peg-leg, did he? He kept alert. Just in case.

Posted by: Border Walker May 26 2008, 10:09 PM
It sounded like something metal and rusted rotating about...

Wait. Rotating. Metal, rusting.

He was on a rusty battleship, no?

"Fuck."

As he dived out of cover, he looked for the big gun.

Posted by: Border Walker May 26 2008, 10:19 PM
Smart move, as where he was was soon blasted by a large rocket that blew a hole in the hull. Rufus could also see Whaler up in the main area of the ship, and the next ship over seemed to be a whaling ship, with a very large and powerful speargun aimed for where Whaler was...

Posted by: Alkali May 26 2008, 10:22 PM
...possibly something he could use to his advantage.

"Nice shot, moron." yelled Rufus. "Can't even kill me with the heavy artillery! Care to take another shot?"

He hoped that would keep him in place long enough...

Posted by: Border Walker May 26 2008, 10:24 PM
Whaler seemed to go behind a computer in the same room, fiddling as some of the smaller artillery began to turn, aiming...

Posted by: Alkali May 26 2008, 10:32 PM
Rufus rolled his eyes. If only hostile takeovers were that easy. There was no time for dawdling though, since there were big guns pointing his way - it was time to run, asthma or no asthma.

Rufus might have sworn just a tiny bit as chaos erupted around him in the form of missile-y death, but it was hard to tell what with the missiles. Either way, he kept legging it. Hopefully he wouldn't have to keep it up for long, running was tiring.

Posted by: Border Walker May 26 2008, 10:43 PM
Rufus soon came to the edge of the Battleship, where he would have to hop on the railing and then jump to the next ship...

Posted by: Alkali May 26 2008, 10:47 PM
Well, he hoped he could do it. Running on nothing more than blind faith (I suppose the bombardment was helping too) he tried to leap from the railing towards the other ship...

Posted by: Border Walker May 26 2008, 10:55 PM
As he did so, another bombardment of missiles launched and narrowly missed Rufus as he landed face down on the deck of the next ship...

Posted by: Alkali May 26 2008, 10:59 PM
Rufus' face hurt, but that was to be expected. He tried to pick himself up and throw a glance over his shoulder at the big guns...

Posted by: Border Walker May 28 2008, 10:43 PM
And he arrived at it, as the bug guns began to turn on him again...

Posted by: Alkali May 28 2008, 11:21 PM
He didn't have long, then! He tried to quickly get a basic understanding of the controls of the speargun, then aim it vaguely at Whaler...

Posted by: Border Walker May 29 2008, 01:31 AM
the controls were simple enough, you pushed to rotate, and pressed the buttons on top of the handles to launch...

Posted by: Alkali May 29 2008, 07:12 AM
Rufus tried to fire it at Whaler...

Posted by: Border Walker May 30 2008, 12:49 AM
As Rufus aimed and fired the Speargun, the force nearly ripped it off the deck as the gun spear launched high into the sky, a trail of thick rope following behind it quickly and rapidly. The guns readied to fire, until Whaler looked up into the air to spot The Spear coming for him, muttering only two final words as she sharp points of the spear gun came for him.

"Oh... Fuck..."

The spear blasted through the window, shattering it, and soon, the sky, ground, and land around Rufus and Selene. The whole world went pitch black, nothing around either, until both began to drop what seemed like miles upon miles and miles, both awakening soon upon the ground of the Third Class Smoking Room, whaler and Akito no where to be found, but a Speargun-the one Whaler had used-on the ground...

Posted by: Alkali May 30 2008, 07:00 PM
Rufus looked around the room - where had everything gone? The little girl? Whaler? The other whale?

Posted by: Border Walker May 31 2008, 05:55 PM
The Little girl was still here, Selene rushing over to and hugging her.

Posted by: Alkali May 31 2008, 06:03 PM

Posted by: Alkali May 31 2008, 06:19 PM
"Yeah. What was the deal with that other whale?" he asked.

Posted by: Border Walker May 31 2008, 11:24 PM
"Oh, took care of him," Selene said, "While you were dealing with Mr. Talker, I got stuck dealing with Mr. Member the size of a Fire Hose."

"You'd think they'd have the decency to put on some clothes." muttered Rufus.

Posted by: Border Walker Jun 1 2008, 10:32 PM
"My guess is most of them are all brawn and no brain," Selene said, heading for the Door out of the room.

Rufus grumbled as he left the room with Selene...
