Calypso's Wrath > F Deck > Third Class Dining Saloon

Posted by: Border Walker Oct 6 2007, 12:54 AM
The Third Class Dining saloon is definitely not a place one would wish to spend time in for a long time. In fact, it's actually supposed to be marked off like the rest of the 3rd Class places, but someone seems to have torn down the Yellow tape...

Jolene & the Cap'n enter from the third Class Corridor

And the officer had a look around. Just what had happened here?

There wasn't actually anything in the Dining saloon, but a couple of Security guards who were talking to one another near the entrance to the Galley. The Captain lead Jolene over to them, as the Guards nodded to Jolene...

Survivors:
Jolene: 100/100
Captain Smith: 100/100
Guard #1: 100/100
Guard #2: 100/100

Jolene looked the guards up and down, sizing them up. She gave a short nod of acknowledgment back, but waited for the captain to speak before saying her part.

The Capitan didn't say anything to Jolene however, talking to the guards quickly first. "Why are you not inside?"

"And be cooked alive? The oven came alive and nearly fried me to death!" One of the guards said, the other looking as if he had just said the wrong thing...

Survivors:
Jolene: 100/100
Captain Smith: 100/100
Guard #1: 100/100
Guard #2: 100/100

The officer furrowed her brows, but otherwise remained neutrally observant. These two's demeanors had changed quickly enough... and what, exactly did the one guard mean about an oven coming to life?

The Captain gave the guard a stern look, opening one of his eyes wide and looking right to him with a flat face. "You mean it went on the fritz, right?" The captain said. The guard nodded in agreement, though didn't look to convinced by what the Captain said, as if they were possibly hiding something...

"Well, Ms. Harris, sorry about that outburst. We've been having small problems with some of our Kitchen equipment, especially down here. So much so the Cooks almsot refuse to use them. But enough of that. The body was discovered by one of our officers on his routine. From what the Master-At-Arms can tell, the body seems to have been burnt by something, but perhaps you can tell more."

Survivors:
Jolene: 100/100
Captain Smith: 100/100
Guard #1: 100/100
Guard #2: 100/100

"The body was found burnt near the on-the-fritz ovens," Jolene returned flatly, turning her attention from the Captain to the guards. It seemed obvious that introductions were not in order from the white-dressed man, so she introduced herself. "Good morning, gentlemen, I'm officer Jolene Harris and I've been hired by Captain Smith to investigate the accident." She spoke smoothly over a mental hesitation. 'Murder' had been her first word of choice, but it seemed that these two were edgy enough that the word would be too much.

"Which of you two found the body, or is the officer not present at the moment?"

"He's away right now, Ms. Harris," The first guard spoke, a black haired Arabian man, dressed in regular everyday Passenger clothes, his being a black shirt and black jeans, not as inconspicuous as the others. "My name is Officer Abula."

"And mine's the Frank," The other guard, a balding American man with a mustache, in wearing a Cowboy hat and shirt with blue jeans. It was the blading man who appeared to have been shaken up by the Fritz oven...

Jolene gave each of them a quick handshake. "Is it possible to speak with him?" She turned to the captain again and added, "and for any other accidents, I'd like to speak with the witnesses or those who came across the scene after the fact."

"I'm afraid not Ms. Harris. The Master-At-Arms tends to disappear rather quickly on this ship. If he is found, we'll contact you though," The Arabian man said. "But we can show you the body," he added. Frank didn't look to pleased by that, but shook it off..

Survivors:
Jolene: 100/100
Captain Smith: 100/100
Abula: 100/100
Frank: 100/100

"Please," Jolene asked curtly. "I'm no coroner, but it would be good to get an idea of what and who we're dealing with, here."

Abula nodded, opening the door and taking her in while Frank stayed behind...

Jolene & Co enter from the Third Class Galley

She shuffled alongside the captain, unaware of the spark... trying to keep coherent enough to avoid walking into anything else or otherwise hurting herself more!
