Title: Wheelhouse
Description: Hard to Starboard!

Border Walker - October 1, 2007 09:28 PM (GMT)
The Wheelhouse is one of the most modern aboard the ship, Almost no real antique items in this room. The only thing real antique about the room is the large steering wheel of the Wheelhouse, made to match the original titanic wheel in placement and design. Computers and sonars bleep and make other noises as crewmen and woman aboard watch the screens for anything abnormal...

William entered as quietly as he could and approached the other officers.

"sirs, what was that all about? dealing with a roomful of panicking civvies while yet another of this damned ship's ghosts makes itself known is not what I'm here for." he said.

Border Walker - October 23, 2007 10:35 PM (GMT)
The Second officer was the first to responds to William...

"Officer William Harris now is not the best time for this. There's a parcel in the Chart room, would you retrieve it and then make sure the passengers aren't unruly?"

space butler - October 23, 2007 11:13 PM (GMT)
"yes sir." William said, and headed for the chart room (via the hallway if its not connected.).

Border Walker - October 23, 2007 11:22 PM (GMT)
William has left the Wheelhouse for the Chart Rooms

William entered and quickly looked around for the other officers, or a computer no-one was using.

Border Walker - October 24, 2007 11:41 PM (GMT)
The Officers seemed to all be scrambling about... but there was a computer nearby that was empty...

space butler - October 24, 2007 11:43 PM (GMT)
William quickly trued to pull up the passenger manifest and search for Ruth McGowan, and anybody with Rose as their first name.

Border Walker - October 25, 2007 08:11 PM (GMT)
The passenger list had a search function, but searching for a Rose and Ruth McGowan turned up nothing...

...Except something that began to play on the screen, a small little movie screen...

William watched the video, growing steadily more confused.

Border Walker - October 26, 2007 10:08 AM (GMT)
The Video was in black and white and had no sound, but showed a trio of people on one of the decks aboard a ship. The Deck appeared very similar to the First Class Decks, and the style suggested that it could be it... or the Titanic...

The Trio was of two women, one older than the other, and a man with a mustache. The Youngest wore a large, slightly tilted hat and seemed bored, while the older and the man walked hand in hand down the deck. The man stopped for a moment near the railing and seemed to tell the woman to go on and that he would catch up. They did, and he looked over the railing...

William kept watching, a frown crossing his face as he did.

Border Walker - October 27, 2007 08:59 PM (GMT)
The Screen suddenly began to change to color, and a bright flash came from the screen, engulfing the whole room and Blinding William. When the flash receded, William found himself standing on a Promenade of a ship, much like the Calypso, only no one was dressed in modern clothing, wearing only Victorian clothes. The man on the screen from before was also there, standing over the Railing. He appeared to be Irish. He glancewd over his shoulder towards William, and and then turned to face him, smiling.

"Ah, good to see your here. I've been needing to talk to you," The man said...

????: 100/100

space butler - October 27, 2007 11:56 PM (GMT)
"what the bloody hell is going on?" William demanded, looking around.

Border Walker - October 28, 2007 12:21 AM (GMT)
"Oh, that's right, i probably should Explain. Well, first off, my name is Connor, Connor McGowan. I'm the one who left the box for you. As for this, well, your in a... Limbo... like place I would say... Hard to explian really..." Connor said with a heavy Irish Accent...

Survivors:
William: 100/100
Connor: 100/100

space butler - October 28, 2007 11:19 AM (GMT)
"in Limbo? doesn't that mean I'm dead?" William asked.

Border Walker - October 28, 2007 10:49 PM (GMT)
"Errr... Not quite... Your still alive. I... on the other hand... well you can guess that. The fact is, The whole ship is in a limbo of sorts. It's why you've seen all that strange stuff, along with the others."

Survivors:
William: 100/100
Connor: 100/100

space butler - October 29, 2007 12:29 AM (GMT)
"if it wasn't for the ring, I'd swear I was still high." William muttered.

"what does this have to do with me?" he asked. "are the rest of the crew ghosts or something?"

Border Walker - October 29, 2007 01:29 AM (GMT)
"Some, yes, but not all. In truth, about one fourth of this ship's crew and passengers are ghosts, but not all are harmful. Your fellow officers, how ever, are. Be weary of them."

"As for why I chose you, you simply happened upon that package at the right time. I hexed it to be addressed to the first mortal to enter that room. I needed an alive person to help me stop this ship some becoming it's predecessor."

William: 100/100
Connor: 100/100

space butler - October 29, 2007 10:45 AM (GMT)
William nodded slowly, trying to get his head around what he'd just been told.

"would that be literally transforming, or this ship slamming into an iceberg and joining the titanic on the bottom?" he asked

Border Walker - October 29, 2007 11:16 PM (GMT)
"Mmmmore or less both... There's a way to prevent it from sinking, but I'm afraid I don't know how to stop it from looking the the Titanic..."

Survivors:
William: 100/100
Connor: 100/100

space butler - October 29, 2007 11:20 PM (GMT)
"I don't give a damn how she looks, so long as she still floats." William replied.

"what do you need me for? from what I've seen, you ghosts aren't exactly incapable of doing your own thing." he added.

Border Walker - October 30, 2007 12:58 AM (GMT)
"Those are the stronger ghosts, the ones who can bend reality to their whim. Two are responsible fr the Lunch massacre right now, but someone is stopping them as we speak. I'm not strong enough to become Ethereal all my own. I need someone to hold onto the Ring that I gave you so I can become ethereal in the real world. However, doing this is taking energy as well. Right now, there ar emore ghosts because of the bent reality. Once it ends, we'll be stuck in our own world again until... it happens..."

"I need you to help prevent it from happening. Somewhere on this ship are a number of diamond stoned like the one you have. I only need Three to stop the Calypso from suffering the same fate as the Titanic, but I can't go searching for them. You need to find them and then get them together. My best suggestion would be to find those who have heard from my wife, Ruth, and Daughter, Rose. They have their own jewels that can be used."

Survivors:
William: 100/100
Connor: 100/100

space butler - October 30, 2007 01:05 AM (GMT)
"and how am I supposed to do that? I mean, I could try some kind of PA announcement, but the captain and his ghost buddies would hear that too." William asked.

"I cant exactly go around asking every passenger, is there an easy way to figure out who's been in contact, or maybe to find your family?"

Border Walker - October 30, 2007 01:10 AM (GMT)
"I can only tell you what I know. What I know, is that Ruth almost never left the room, Room A7. My daughter... She's harder to find... But she loved Children..."

Survivors:
William: 100/100
Connor: 100/100

space butler - October 30, 2007 01:34 AM (GMT)
"would Ruth have a better idea of where she is?" William asked.

Border Walker - October 30, 2007 01:41 AM (GMT)
"Maybe, but it's impossible to tell..."

Survivors:
William: 100/100
Connor: 100/100

space butler - October 30, 2007 01:43 AM (GMT)
"I guess I'll have to find out. theres kids all over this bloody ship, so your daughter could be anywhere." William replied.

Border Walker - October 30, 2007 01:48 AM (GMT)
"True, but she always seemed to love the ones in Third class the most, the ones who looked as if they needed help in a bad way..."

Survivors:
William: 100/100
Connor: 100/100

space butler - October 30, 2007 01:53 AM (GMT)
"I'll have to see what I can do, finding her isn't going to be easy. theres probably quite a few kids in third class who are in a bad way." William replied.

Border Walker - October 30, 2007 02:07 AM (GMT)
"Let us hope. If you can't find her... your very well screwed... as is the rest of the ship..."

Survivors:
William: 100/100
Connor: 100/100

space butler - October 30, 2007 02:10 AM (GMT)
"I'll do what I can." William replied.

"one question though, how do I get back from this limbo thing?" he asked.

Border Walker - October 31, 2007 11:41 PM (GMT)
Talk about a coincidence, but just as William asked, the world seemed to flash again, and William found himself in the Wheelhouse again, but with clear skies and normal goings on. The Officers seemed to have disappeared though...

Survivors:
William: 100/100

space butler - October 31, 2007 11:43 PM (GMT)
William shook his head and rubbed his temples for a couple of seconds, before turning and hurrying out of the room.

Border Walker - October 31, 2007 11:53 PM (GMT)
William has left the Wheelhouse for the Crewmen's Corridor

space butler - March 31, 2008 11:57 PM (GMT)
William headed straight for the switch for the security system, and deactivated it while trying to remember if that would stop the gas flow as well.

Border Walker - April 1, 2008 08:20 PM (GMT)
Before William could do anything, he found the Captain standing in the Wheelhouse, standing before the unmanned Wheel...

Not only that, but while William knew of the security system, he knew not where the switch for it was...

Survivors:
William: 50/100

space butler - April 1, 2008 08:45 PM (GMT)
"captain, we've got to turn off that bloody security system, now." William said, doubting he'd like the reply.

Border Walker - April 1, 2008 08:57 PM (GMT)
"I know... but I no not the code..."

The Captain said, never taking his eyes off the glass before him, and pointing to a computer screen flashing red...

William: 50/100

Captain Edward: ???/???

space butler - April 1, 2008 09:03 PM (GMT)
"for gods sake sir, this is your ship, how can you not know the code?" William replied, before grabbing his radio.

"thane, you there? respond. I need the security override code, now." he said into it, after tuning it to whatever channel Dominic was likley to be using.
