Title: Jolene's Penthouse Suite
Description: White Trash in High Style!

dray - October 9, 2007 02:33 AM (GMT)
Nothing can be said about Jolene's loaned penthouse suite but that it's the height of fashion. Unlike the woman herself, the room (or series of rooms -- the suite contains everything from a master bedroom with attached jacuzzi and a view over the front of the deck, to a kitchen, a dining area, a living room, a pair of smaller bedrooms and a den) is intricately adorned with a mixture of feminine rococo curves and epic art deco design. Every surface, be it the walls, wainscotting, furniture, counter space, etc. is etched with art nouveau themes in peacocks and lions and half-naked women; dark mahogany and gold are the dominant colour palette, with rich bottle greens and cobalt blues adding dashes of vibrant colour -- especially on the smooth surfaces such as counters and table-tops -- tying in a modern theme.

It's really rather like a little maze, but therein lies part of the wonder. No guest can stay in Penthouse Suite #7 without discovering at least one new room throughout the cruise... there's just so much to look through and see!

Jolene, Abula & Frank enter from the First Class Bedroom corridor

"Huh." Jolene replied, tuning Abula out as the impact of the suite overwhelmed her. This place looked about as stuffed with shit as a place could be without being called a junk sale... And there was enough gold in here to make her teeth ache.

She entered the room cautiously, as if expecting to intrude upon an alien.

Border Walker - October 9, 2007 02:57 AM (GMT)
Maybe not an Alien, but someone sure was in the room, wearing what appears to be a full body suit to protect against Radiation, looking like an Alien Hunter. He seemed to be scanning the room with some strange Equipment, which made strange noises and occasionally beep...

Jolene watched on in mild consternation. "Excuse me, who are you?"

Border Walker - October 9, 2007 03:08 AM (GMT)
The man in the Radioactive suit looked towards the three, and a muffled voice came through, "Oh, I thought this suite was empty for the voyage. Didn't know it wasn't," The man said, placing the equipment down and removing his helmet, revealing a man with a mushroom top hairstyle, a pair of large glasses, and a scruffy looking face.

Jolene continued to stare. "Well it's not empty anymore. You never answered my question -- who are you?"

Border Walker - October 9, 2007 03:17 AM (GMT)
"Oh, Sorry, Joshua Kuneson, call me Josh." The Man said, offering a hand to shake...

"Aren't you that Ghost Hunter kid that was hired on?" Frank asked...

Jolene took the hand and gave it a firm shake, her crisped and bandaged hand looking out of place against his clinical, gloved one. "Don't tell me there's shit-disturbers haunting this suite too," she asked.

Border Walker - October 9, 2007 03:28 AM (GMT)
"Well it does have some activity of the Spiritual kind, but nothing harmful, no doubt like you experienced in the Galley, right?" Josh said with a wink, while Abula and Frank both put on surprised expressions...

Jolene climbed into a nicely confounded expression, herself. "How'd you know about that?"

Border Walker - October 9, 2007 03:34 AM (GMT)
Joshua smiled and tapped his head, "Not just a Ghost Hunter, bit of a Psychic too," He said, smiling. "Least that's what my old neighbor thought. Can't say It's not completely untrue though."

She wrinkled her nose, unsatisfied with the answer. 'Bit of a psychic'... more like 'bit of a weirdo'. "Well, good for you. I'm officer Harris, Josh, and I've been re-assigned to these quarters... now you are this 'ghost hunter' that was hired, right?" He'd better be, considering his getup and what he was doing in here.

Border Walker - October 9, 2007 03:40 AM (GMT)
"Yep, was hired by the builders when strange things seemed to happen during construction, and they payed for a Second class room aboard for me to stay."

"Good, so you know where to vamoose too," she snapped, though she frowned and seemed to chastise herself. "Look, we just had a shit time of things, I want to find somewhere to sit here that's not guilt-up-the-ass with decorations and maybe not get burned to death for a minute. I was hired by the Captain to investigate all of this crap too so... what room are you in? I'll need to talk with you eventually, one way or another, now just ain't a good time."

Border Walker - October 9, 2007 03:48 AM (GMT)
"Oh, of course, it's Room E-38, E-Deck level. Pop by anytime, though if I'm not there feel free to hang out a little while." He said as he gathered his stuff and began to walk out, albeit rather awkwardly...

Joshua has Left Jolene's Penthouse for ???

Jolene closed the door behind her and gave the two security guards a bemused look. "Just a little odd? C'mon in, let's see if we can find a decent place to sit." The ornate looking dining room just to their right seemed a little too formal to the woman.

Border Walker - October 9, 2007 04:06 AM (GMT)
The was the Rather nice and homely looking Sitting area just a little further, Which Abula limped them over to and sat them down in the chairs, taking one himself.

"Well Ms. Harris, what do you think Calypso so far?" Abula asked with a smirk...

"She's a dodgy little bitch with a problem for tempertantrums," Jolene retorted, sinking back into the ornately stitched love-seat. "Or if it's not the ship, it's some pretty fucking cruel people behind it all."

Border Walker - October 9, 2007 04:14 AM (GMT)
Abula and Frank laughed at that and nodded in agreement. "I betcha she's got the Spirit of the Titanic in her, and she's Angry."

"Yeah? Well what the hell's a ship that's sunk a hundred thousand miles away from here doing haunting the Calypso? Doesn't make sense to me. Abula, you wanna see if there's anything to drink around here? I'd get up but I feel like charred meat."

Border Walker - October 9, 2007 04:20 AM (GMT)
"Should be some right here," Abula said, opening one of the small fridges and revealing some Wine in a Bucket of Ice along with some glasses. "Care for a drink?"

"Just a half a glass, white. Red turns me into a cherry." She cast a glance at her watch and found the glass to have been browned... she couldn't read what time it was. Couldn't be past noon yet.

Jesus christ, she really was sinking to a new low.

Border Walker - October 9, 2007 04:27 AM (GMT)
Although she couldn't read her watch, there was a grandfather clock in the room that read 10:57 AM, as Abula pored the wines in the glass and Frank took his glass and took a sip.

Jo gave her glass a swirl, checking the wine for legs. She took a sniff and then a sip, chiding herself for drinking before noon. Well, it was only a half a glass, it wasn't gonna get bad.

She took another sip and then relaxed a little on the seat.
"So you guys and that Master-at-arms are the only ones who've got any brains around here, huh?"

Border Walker - October 9, 2007 04:36 AM (GMT)
"Yes, but no one has seen the Master-At-Arms for quite some time. I'm sure he'll return soon though," Abula replied...

((As a side note, Arlan plans to make the Master-At-Arms with his 200 posts character))

"Fuck, I don't blame him if he's hiding out. There's better things to do than get eaten by a psychotic bitch-ship."

Border Walker - October 9, 2007 04:42 AM (GMT)
"Hehe, True," Frank said as he downed his second glass of wine.

"So Ms. Harris, what do you plan to do aboard the vessel that doesn't involve chasing ghost stories?" Abula asked with a slight Chuckle...

"Chasing the people behind them, if there are any," Jolene replied sincerely. She didn't really do anything other than her job these days.

Border Walker - October 9, 2007 04:54 AM (GMT)
Abula frowned, "You mean you don't plan to have at least a little fun Ms. Harris? There's so much to do. There's the Casino in the mall, The Turkish baths and Racquet ball courts-"

"If you don't mind Harry that is."

"Harry who?" She asked, after making faces at the suggestions.

Border Walker - October 9, 2007 05:00 AM (GMT)
"Some ghost the men only seem to complain about down there. The woman love him though. They call him 'Horsecock' Harry," Frank said, downing another glass of wine.

"Yeah, true 'nuff." She took another sip of wine, nursing her half-glass. "Not sure I'd want to hit one of those before it got dark out, though, y'know?" It was too bad that Frank had to bring up his bloody Harry joke; some cool water would probably have felt nice. "What else's there to do?"

Border Walker - October 9, 2007 05:22 AM (GMT)
"There's the Cinema on the E-Deck, though Cinema Six has been closed off due to a faulty design flaw in the Cinema. There's also the Resturaunt and Dining Saloons should you feel hungry."

Jolene: 93/100

dray - October 9, 2007 05:24 AM (GMT)
"...Design flaw? Sounds like there's more than enough to put this ship back in the cradle, jesus christ." She finished off the last of the wine, despite herself, and offered the glass back. "Maybe just a little more...

"And I think maybe I'm going to find out what's going on with this suite before I whip the rest of the ship. Would either of you be up for supper tonight?"

Border Walker - October 9, 2007 05:30 AM (GMT)
"It would be my pleasure Ms. Harris," Abula said,

"Thanks, I'll take that offer up, Frank said, Raisin his wine glass as he downed Another glass...[/i]

She refrained from commenting on his consumption, instead taking a sip, herself. "So, where's a decent place to eat? Assuming there's more'n one restaurant kicking around..."

Border Walker - October 9, 2007 05:37 AM (GMT)
"There's only one Resturant, but there's at least four Dining Saloons, one for Third, one for second, and Two for First Class. You'd be able to get in any one, being a personal guest of the Captain..." Abula answered...

"That so...." Jolene warped a smirk by pursing her lips. "So is the guest of a captain allowed to bring guests or does the buck stop with me?"
