People try to dismiss Edward Paik's account as not supporting the north of the citgo claim.

This is completely false.

Edward Paik drew three versions of the flight path:

Plus he described where the plane came from and where it went which firmly establishes the angle of approach.

He is corroborated on the approach by Mrs. Hubbard, Cindy Reyes, Veronica, and Jamal who were all further back.

He is corroborated on the north of Columbia Pike by all the CITGO witnesses.

On the Loose Change forum "Powerhouse" is lying about the flight path that Edward describes suggesting it takes the plane south of the citgo.

He uses this deceptive image to demonstrate:

Except that is NOT the angle that Edward describes or drew in any of his images. Powerhouse has to straighten it out to make it end up south of the CITGO.

In fact if the plane did what Powerhouse illustrated it would have hit the Sheraton!

Here is a more accurate depiction of Edward's flight path demonstrating the true angle he describes in relation to the official flight path:

For people who think the composite image skews the direction here is another one:
Red line: Powerhouse's lie that is NOT what Edward drew or described.
Yellow line: The true angle that Edward described.

Edward's POV (correction: plane's approximate location as described and illustrated by Edward. Thanks to Erik Larson for confirming this proving further the accuracy of our reporting and the veracity of the north side approach!):

Powerhouse replied:

QUOTE

I'll admit an error. I remembered that Paik did two drawings, and I had posted one. I think Paik did three, and I forgot about the one done on the view from directly above. I agree that that one does line up North of the Citgo:

But the problem with that one is that it also heads way North of where the Pentagon was hit. For a plane to take CIT's yellow path (posted by PRC above), it would take a very severe bank angle. At over 400 mph any plane would have to have its wings banked so they were nearly straight up-and-down to make that kind of high-g turn, and I don't recall any witnesses describing that sight.

On the other hand, lining up the Pentagon's impact point with a line North of the Citgo means that the plane would have had to be on my blue line above, way to the North of where Paik was located

You do not know the speed or exact type of plane.

It may have been going 300 mph.

The bank may have been further out as Lagasse and Brooks describe.

But quite a few witnesses describe the bank over the Navy Annex including Sean Boger, Mike Walter, Penny Elgas and others.

Some describe it as a "wobble" or a "tilt".

Bottom line......since Edward's account is corroborated by all of these people it's quite clear that his is where the plane flew:
