When was this footage Shot of Mike Walter and Gorgon Gross?
Was it about 2006 well after 911 had taken place?

You can't attribute his description of the right bank to memory gone foggy over a span of 5 years. He made that same description of the right bank back in 2001. A fact that was actually pointed out earlier in this thread.

In this interview from June 2011 he also describes the bank and the fairytale of his hand being cut:

At 3 mins in, Walter gestures that the gash was on his left hand.

And he also claimed that he was going to a "baseball game" that morning? unsure.gif

the Washington Nationals team wasnt formed til 2005, so the closest local team back then was the Baltimore Orioles, but they were on a roadtrip out of town that entire week:

http://www.baseball-almanac.com/teamstats/...hp?y=2001&t=BAL

or it was a smaller league of some sort that walter was referring to. here is list of current minor league teams in virginia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_profe...ams_in_Virginia

Bluefield Blue Jays Baseball Appalachian League (too far from northern va to go see)
Bristol White Sox Baseball Appalachian League (too far from northern va to go see)
Danville Braves Baseball Appalachian League (too far from northern va to go see)
Lynchburg Hillcats Baseball Carolina League (too far from northern va to go see)
Norfolk Tides Baseball International League (too far from northern va to go see)
Salem Red Sox Baseball Carolina League (too far from northern va to go see)
Pulaski Mariners Baseball Appalachian League (too far from northern va to go see)
Richmond Flying Squirrels Baseball Eastern League (roughly 100 miles south of northern va)
Potomac Nationals Baseball Carolina League

The Potomac Nationals
http://www.milb.com/index.jsp?sid=t436
-played in woodbridge, which is roughly 30 driving minutes from arlington or walter's home* in 2001, and would be the closest team to go see.
* http://tinyurl.com/cljtnre (googlemaps - approximate to within 2 miles of his address)

back then (1999–2004) they were the Potomac Cannons:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potomac_Nationals

-and did not play on 9/11/2001
http://www.unionleaguebaseball.com/unionle...schedule_9.html

the Richmond Flying Squirrels (currently the next closest minor league team in the area)
http://www.milb.com/index.jsp?sid=t3410
-back then they were the Norwich Navigators (1995-2005) and played in connecticut, not virginia.

so im not sure what baseball game walter claims he was headed to. he could have meant a little league game for children, but its unusual to refer to that as a "baseball game" the way walter did. barring that, walter was either misremembering that day, or as usual, throwing in excess bullshit - embellishing - because thats what he does and cant help himself.

although the resolution of this clip isnt great, here is walter talking to peterson that day, gesturing with both hands, no blood or injury visible:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9fipBa5HmU

he might have gotten a little scratched if actually did scale a fence, but like i said above, he has a tendency (imo) to embellish. what he did get right though (and did not embellish), was the plane banking right. he only says "banked" without attributing direction, but his left hand gestures a right bank in the newseum clip.

thanks btw steve, for finding and sharing the vid.

edit - a better version of the peterson/walter interview:

Thanks for the links mate.

Like he said in Steve's video. "That story was mine". How could he let some trees get in the way of this opportunity?

Then there's this:

QUOTE
Mike Walter: I was on my way to work which at the time was about 5 minutes away from the Pentagon. I would drive on the freeway to highway 27 that took me right by the Pentagon. I would end up on the road to the Pentagon North Parking lot which would swing around and put me on 110. So this wasn't some random thing that I was there as some have suggested. I was running late that morning and stuck in traffic.

Make your mind up Mick!
